Lake Travis Cabin Rental Photos and Description

1 Bedroom + 1 porch bedroom, 1 full bath, sleeps from 2-4

This adorable little cabin sits on the waterfront on the south shore of Lake Travis. Our cove is directly across from Point Venture and only 3 coves away from Lakeway Marina. Built in the 60's, it has tons of rustic charm but has had some modern updates to the kitchen to make it more user friendly. It is an ideal space for a couple to spend some quality time or for a family of 4 to kick back and make some lasting memories. It can also be a perfect place for a ladies/men only style get away. Situated on a beautiful rolling waterfront property, you are only a short stroll away from the 3 slip dock and water's edge. Right out your back door is a private fire pit perfect for s'mores and weinie roasts. Further down is a communal pool (shared ONLY with 5 properties) to take a dip in when summer temps soar. Loungers are available as well for those who like to soak in the sun between swims :) In the cooler months, this cute little cabin has a fakey little fireplace to keep you toasty and premium cable and wireless internet all the time so you can work if you need to or entertain yourself with a great movie or favorite TV show. The kitchen is stocked with the basic essentials to cook all your meals in AND the immediate area is swiftly growing and adding more and more delicious and interesting places to drop in and have a bite out. We now have a local brewery and a lovely winery super close to our place and we cannot say enough about these great venues! We would love to have you here and we know you'd enjoy all the beauty this area has to offer! Please inquire with management if you need or would like some suggestions on things to do in the area or if you need help with reservations etc.. We make it a point to be sure you and your guests have a great time when you stay with us :) Can't wait to hear from you....

About Lacy Nash

We enjoy this eclectic street on the lake every day of the year. It is my husbands love for this area that he built these houses. He wanted others to be able to enjoy great times with family and friends just as we have. We want every guests that stay in our houses to have a wonderful time. Whether you are looking for a weekend getaway or a month long retreat, we have three houses and surely one of them will give you the peace that you are looking for.

Lacy Nash purchased this cabin in 2012

Why Lacy Nash chose Lake Travis

This cabin was purchased in 2012 by my husband and myself as he looks to develop and improve our little lake road and community. The cabin was remodeled in 2010 and is just adorable. Although we live on the road, I still often want to go down and hang out here as it has such a quaint and warm feeling about it.

What makes this cabin unique

The views out of the back porch is what makes this house truly a lake house. This porch can also serve as a true porch by shutting the door in between the porch and cabin or you can leave the door open and add room for two more beds. Waking up here makes you know you are really at the lake.

Comfortable and relaxing

  • 4 of 5

I stayed at the cottage from January - July 2016. The accommodations were comfortable and are accurately described in the listing. The cottage was clean and anytime I needed anything Lacy responded well within the 24 hour turn around time. They were very accommodating when I want to extend my reservation. The air conditioners kept the space cool even on the hottest days. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking supplies/dishes. The pool is well maintained and is a convenient to the cottage, right out the back door. As mentioned before in other reviews the toilet as difficulty flushing, I was the only one in the rental and it often only gave one good flush a day, the toilet plunger was used often to get the toilet paper down, but really was no bother to me as I was the only inhabitant. The area is very quiet during the week, the weekends get more busy with the 10pm pool curfew is more of a suggestion. The fire pit was wonderful to use. It is a great location more off the beaten trail but within easy driving distance to restaurants and entertainment. The League, Lucy's Fried Chicken, All Star Burger, It's All good BBQ & Fore were just a few of my favorite places to eat/takeout within easy driving distance. Cinemark $5 movies on Tues. were a plus for rainy days/evenings. If I ever get back to TX for work or vacation I would look to rent again! Really had a great time over the 6 month stay.

My Hidden Get Away!

  • 5 of 5

As much as I don't want the word to get out for selfish reasons, I must help out the wonderful property owners and AMAZING property manager by sharing my experience...

My husband and I stayed there with our two young children while we were finishing up our building project down the road. We've lived out here just down the road for years and are very familiar with the Lake Travis area. You will not find a better vacation rental on the lake at a better me, I've done my homework. This darling little cabin was a great little place for us to call home while doing our building project. You can sit on the couch in the morning and gaze out the wall of windows across an always green plush lawn that rolls down to the now full Lake Travis. And if the weather is nice you can step right out the back door and park yourself in the adirondack chairs. If the temp is a little too cold, you can light up the fire pit that the chairs surround. But if the temp is too warm, you can stroll on down to the almost new swimming pool and lay out in one of the many lounge chairs provided or dip into the water. From any point, you will still have those great lake views. Want a little more action, then stroll down a little further, around the second grouping of adirondack chairs and even larger fire pit to your very own boat slip. They have two kayaks provided, which we got a lot of use from, or you could rent a boat from on of the many marinas on the lake...that is if you didn't bring your own lake cruiser! All in all, for value, comfort and lake access...THIS PROPERTY CAN'T BE BEAT!!!

cabin stay

  • 1 of 5

the experience on lake Travis was great, but the cabin was not as expected. All the neighbors were amazing, but the owners of the cabin leave out many details. The ice machine is junk, don't work. Nearest place to get food or launch a boat is at least 30 mins. Boat dock is owned by someone else and is only a slip, no lift, so if you have a nice boat it will get beat around by wakes from other boats unless you tie it up extremely well. The pool has a curfew and is owned by someone else as well ( community pool) so expect anyone to show up. The toilet couldn't flush water let alone toilet paper, needs work. Plung it every time used. Next door to you is a junked up house on one side. The other side is a trailer house on pilers, a little rock can't hide that. Wouldn't stay there again.

Owner's Response: It is so unfortunate that you didn't have a great impression. Being out here definitely isn't for everyone and neither is the travel time. The hard water does make it difficult to keep that ice maker going and I do wish I'd had the opportunity to address that issue while you were here. I do make every effort to immediately remedy any and all situations within my control as it pertains to our guests' comfort levels. The commode is old like the cabin and simply requires the user to hold it down a beat longer than seems normal. As for the dock (owned by same family who owns the cabin and other area vacation rentals), boat slip, and curfew, all is as described in the listing, and again, may not be for everyone. We still appreciate the input and wish you well. If there is ever an opportunity for a redo, let us know. I can assure we'd rise to the challenge.

Great little cabin

  • 5 of 5

The cabin was small but very clean and comfortable. The real story here is the property. The cabin sits on a large piece of land (maybe 5 acres?) that slopes down to the lake. We enjoyed the firepit, the swimming pool, swimming off of the dock and kayaking in the cove. Our best discovery after dinner one night was following some signs to a winery called El Gaucho Winery, located less than two miles from the cabin. El Gaucho is owned by a couple who have vineyards in Argentina. The wine was very good and the vineyard property is magical. 10 manicured acres on top of a hill - absolutely amazing. Try this cabin - you'll love it!

Owner's Response: I am so glad you had a great time on the property and that you made time to head over to El Gaucho. What a great story and property they have! I would love to have you back sometime and if you have friends or family that may also enjoy our offerings, I am always happy to give great referral discounts ;)

One of my best vacations ever

  • 5 of 5

As a father of 4 kids, we always vacationed at theme parks or visiting family. This time I decided to make a change, my wife my kids and I were so glad that I choose this cabin as our vacation spot. We went fishing in the early morning, and this is a good spot, my son caught his first fish ever, then we went on the jet ski and had fun on the lake, it was nice to have a boat dock, so you can keep your boat/jet ski there. The swimming pool is a great plus when it gets hot in the afternoon. We used the grill to BBQ in late afternoon. And my favorite part was the fire pit at night, and we used the marshmallow that the greatest manager Lacy left for us to make s’mores. BTW, the cabin his its own fire pit. The cabin was very clean and it is bigger than how it looks in the pictures. On top of that, the cabin has a very nice and spacious backyard, the kids were so excited to see dear in the morning. The whole family is looking forward to go back and enjoy this cabin again. The manager is very helpful and accommodating and great to work with. Thank you.

Owner's Response: I had a great time working with you and am so happy your stay was pleasing! We work hard to ensure each guest is happy and comfortable- what's a vacay without s'mores anyway?! We'd love to see you all back in 2016 and I look forward to an opportunity to wow you again!!

Just far enough away

  • 4 of 5

Our second visit -- and just as quaint as the first. The setting is perfect, as were the accommodations. My only note to those planning a trip would be to arrive at the cabin and stay there. The Austin traffic is a nightmare. You'll need a dip in the pool, just to unwind.

Car: recommended

This adorable cabin is so cozy and located right on the water overlooking a beautiful, large very deep cove. The road is a quiet, yet fun eclectic private road. The neighbors are warm and friendly using golf carts to go up and down the road or back and forth from the water. You are located 5 minutes from Angels on 71 if you are looking for outdoor Texas flare or if you want a nice dinner over looking the water, you are 10 minutes from Rough Hollow Grill serving great burger to prime rib. You are located 10-15 mintues from the Hill Country Galleria outdoor mall, HEB, Starbucks, etc.
