|Minimum Stay||7 nights|
The home lies on the east side of Brayton Point Road, two thirds down the road, just over the Rhode Island/Massachusetts border. Providence is a forty minute drive away. So is Newport, but in a different direction. Boston is an hour and a half drive away.
We loved our stay at the Brayton Point Cottage - from the moment we arrived to when we sadly had to leave we enjoyed the stay - convenient and relaxing location meant a great get-away from the hustle-bustle of city life! Very comfortable for 2 adults and for entertaining as there's plenty of outdoor seating. Excellent water views - great location - couldn't be beat. Only complaint? Time went very quickly!
The cottage is as described, very well stocked for cooking, all mod cons, nice layout for relaxing, and taking advantage of the fantastic Goosewing Beach. The street is quiet, hardly trafficked. The cottage is conveniently located to stores, restaurants, and interesting places to visit. Dan couldn't have been more helpful. We want to go back.
Although our stay at this clean and comfortable cottage was brief, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and we hope to return.
The space in the cottage is well defined with a lovely sitting room/living room with a bay window. Then there is the good sized space for the eat in kitchen. The bathroom is small but very clean and functional with a stall shower. There are lots of windows in the home to let in the sunlight and the invigorating fresh air!
We very much enjoyed the roomy deck with its tree cover and wonderful views of fields and ocean. It's a great spot to relax!
The owners are attentive, very helpful and most responsive. It was a pleasure to work with them.
The location of the cottage is superb. The neighborhood is perfect for long walks with vistas of ocean and fields that is ever changing.
The owners have given much thought to amenities and convenience but have kept the wonderful cottage charm! It's a gem!
A small deck provides spectacular ocean views of the Elizabeth Islands. The country location, rich in wildlife and fresh air, is only outdone by the surrounding coastline. Rolling fields overlook a saltwater pond, beaches, and the entrance to Buzzards Bay. A ten minute walk leads to a beautiful swimming beach. There are many other beaches in the area to explore and enjoy as well, including the Nature Conservancy's Quicksand Pond/Goosewing Beach Preserve and the Westport Land Conservation Trust's Richmond Pond Wildlife Sanctuary.
Parties with an approved pet will be charged $50; two pets, the pet fee is $100; two pet limit.
