Likely the nicest studio available.

Beautiful, spacious, comfortable, private studio with tremendous sunset views from outdoor deck is walking distance to beach, the Torrey Pines State Natural Reserve, and a variety of fine restaurants. Downtown Del Mar, with it's wonderful beach-front restaurants, charming shops, L'Auberge Hotel, Del Mar Plaza, scenic Seagrove and Powerhouse Parks, beaches and nearby Del Mar Racetrack is approximately 3 miles away.

This custom designed studio is available either weekly or monthly. A spacious outdoor deck, just steps away, has magnificent views of the ocean, lagoon and nature reserve and is the perfect location to watch the sunset, bird watch, or just chill with a good book under the covered lounging area.

The interior is well designed and nicely furnished and decorated with tasteful art, queen size bed and pull-out sofa with luxurious bedding. Kitchen contains a two burner stove, refrigerator, freezer, convection oven, toaster, microwave, cooking utensils and nice assortment of pots and pans. High definition programming is available for viewing on a 32' flat screen tv. A high quality sound system can be used with personal listening devices. Wireless internet access is available on site.

This is an exceptional piece of property located in a fantastic area at the end of a quiet street next to the Nature Reserve.

Lovely Guest Studio at the end of the street.

The studio is well maintained, cozy and comfortable! Adam is a wonderful host and very knowledgeable about the area and the many restaurants to visit.

It's so convenient to Torrey Pines Park and beach, to Del Mar and to the

I-5. So you can get anywhere from here.

The upstairs deck is beautiful and sunset was a great sight. There is an available grill and a fire pit .. Just lovely.

We were welcome to use the washing machine an dryer.

Overall a great experience especially since we were visiting family in the area. We would definitely stay again!!

Fabulous! we were very impressed with our little cottage. The layout was perfect.

Adam is a good host, he will help in anyway. The upstairs deck was great at night barqueing with the fire pit going. My son lives in area and we could make dinner and chit chat. We will stay again if in area. Price just right.

Spotless, Serene, Safe, Secluded Hideaway

My husband and I found this property perfect for our 5 days in Del Mar. Adam is a fantastic host and we only saw him twice during our stay yet he was a phone call or text away. The property is the last on on a dead end street so it is very quiet and secluded. The neighborhood is gorgeous with each unique property breathtakingly beautiful. Opening the gate from the street, you descend down a few steps and are surrounded by lush landscaping. The Guest Studio portion of the property is actually below the garage and therefore has the footprint of a two car garage. In addition, Adam welcomed us to use the laundry area (washer and dryer) in the garage and also to use the beach chairs and umbrella. Above his home is a two-level patio with gas fire pit and ample seating for enjoying the sunset with a glass of wine. We used that space every evening.

The interior of the Guest Studio is simple and efficient. Tall ceilings and neutral furnishings give you the feeing of spaciousness. The living area seating is comfortable and we quickly found a jazz station on the radio that we played when we were on site. The bed was very comfy with ample dresser and dual nightstands for plenty of storage. The bathroom was awesome with a glass shower and sufficient counter space above the sink. Finally, the kitchen was complete with every appliance including a coffee grinder, coffee pot and tea pot. We were in heaven. We stopped at a Vons store to grab a few basic snacks and some wine as everything else we could possibly need was on site. The concrete flooring throughout was warm and attractive. Plush towels and a hairdryer were appreciated.

I'm not sure if we'll be back to the San Diego area again, but if we do return, we'll be here in a heartbeat! Adam than you for a fantastic stay.

An exceptional value

I spent a week in the unit, which was as advertised. The unit was spotless and felt larger than its square footage because of the meticulous layout; you can see that a lot of planning went into it (e.g., a body-length mirror by the entrance) and that the materials (faucets, shower head and tile, cabinets, etc.) were newer and good quality.

The roof-top deck, with cushioned seating, was a pleasant place to enjoy a meal, a sunset, or catch up on your reading.

The bathroom shower was roomy and had good water pressure. The towels were soft and thick.

The fridge was a smaller model (no freezer compartment), but can hold a fair amount on several shelves.

I found the queen-size bed quite comfortable -- on the firmer side -- though admittedly comfort is subjective. The sheets were of a high thread count.

There is air conditioning, should you need it, and a ceiling fan.

The art was tasteful and not the tacky beach motif of sea shells, drift wood and such.

The rental unit is detached from his residence, if only by a few feet, but has a private entrance, and Adam is respectful of your privacy. The property is on a quiet cul-de-sac in what struck me as a laid-back, safe, rather up-scale neighborhood. Street parking was always available just outside the entrance.

There are steps descending to the unit as well as steps ascending to the roof-top deck, so this property would not be a good choice for those with impaired mobility.

The lighting is somewhat elaborate, so it may take a couple of tries to master the switches.

As others have pointed out, Adam is a gracious host and a font of information about the area: restaurants, happy hours, farmers' markets, hiking, beaches, and so forth.

All in all, I found the accommodation an exceptional value, especially considering that it was the summer high-season in the pricey San Diego area.

A great place to stay with a friendly host who likes to make your stay a pleasant experience.

Adam has thought of everything to make this a great place to stay. The apartment is well presented and maintained with an appealing decor and well equipped kitchen.There are extra bathroom supplies in cupboards in case you run out and the washing machine and dryer are large and readily available. A car is a distinct advantage to fully utilise the location however you can walk to the beach, some restaurants and other area of interest.

We loved the relaxing outdoor area attached to this apartment. It is a well designed haven to suit whatever you want- shade or sun and has been furnished well with comfortable seating and lounges, coffee tables and umbrella. Adam has further added to options by providing night time lighting and a small gas fire pit so it is pleasant to sit out at night also.

We thoroughly enjoyed this great place.
