We had a fantastic time here,
llan was really helpfull and went out of his way to make us feel at home.
Great location for all attractions
The appartment was spotless and as a party of 6 we had plenty of room. Beds were very comfortable and rooms were lovely and warm. Even though we were next to a busy road it was very quiet with the double glazing.
Thank you for a great stay . We will definitely be booking this appartment again.
Large, beautiful, comfortable. Exactly as advertised
A stunningly beautiful apartment which literally drew gasps. A friendly and extremely informative welcome check-in by Vojtech set us up for our 5 days exploring Prague. We actually looked forward to returning to the apartment each evening to relax and enjoy the home-comforts in preparation for the next day. The apartment is perfectly situated for restaurants, supermarkets, bars, shopping and tram links. Beautiful Prague far exceeded my expectations and I will definitely return but only if I can stay in Ilan & Veronika's apartment again. Thank you for having us.
Very good accommodations, beds and pillows comfortable. Well equipped kitchen, good hot water, very excellent location to catch trams and subway. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend. We were two elderly couples.
Perfect location and friendly host
Good location and spacious flat. We stayed 9 persons and it was plenty of room for us.
We missed an extra bathroom and dishwasher....
Convient, clean, roomy, with great pricing and helpful owners
We stayed at the property for 5 days in May. It has 3 good sized bedrooms and a fourth large bed room. Everything we needed was provided (linens, dishes, coffee, tea, coffee maker, tea kettle etc).
The apartment was very clean with high cleanings and lots of windows. The furniture and decor were pleasing. No clutter - huge for me, I hate getting somewhere and having to spend half an hour putting away "decorations" so I have a place to put my stuff while I am there.
It has a washing machine. No drier but there is a drying rack and one electric drying rack. Based on our travels in Budapest and Prague, driers are very uncommon.
The location is IDEAL. It is in a more locals neighborhood with lots of restaurants, bars, cafes, etc. It isn't a tourist area so the quality of food/drinks etc was great and the cost was low. However, it is only a 10 minute walk to Wenceslas Square and all the tourist attractions (new town, old town, little town, Charles bridge, astronomical clock etc.) it is also right off the tram and subway lines. So it was easy to get to tourist attractions further afield (e.g. Terezine, Dox museum).
We came in on the train and it was a short walk to the apt. We could have taken the tram and gotten even closer. We used the subway to the bus to get to the airport - Very easy, quick and convienent.
One down side was the apt was warm but there was enough street noise that leaving the windows open was an issue for 2/4 of us. Being from a city I found it actually not noisy at all but my companions were all from rural areas. One noticed it but was ok with it and 2 found it loud. The other downside was that the wireless had a loose wire that had to be adjusted to get the internet working a few times. The router was near a window so we probably bumped into it opening and closing the window. Easy to fix once we knew what the issue was.
The owner met us at the apt to give us keys and a quick run down of the area and local amenities, including recommendations for food, coffee etc. two of us had the owner arrange a driver to the airport which was cheap and went smoothly.
Overall you can't beat the location, apartment, price or owners helpfulness. All of us highly recommend the place.
Great apartment in Prague
This apartment is exactly as the photos show. Very nice residential neighborhood close to many restaurants and bars. Nice walk to Wenceslas Square and metro stations. Check in was great and Ilan was available day or night with any questions. He also arranged transfers to and from airport and it was flawless. Thank you Ilan and Veronika for sharing your wonderful apartment with us.
This Prague apartment is located just 100 meters from Wenceslas Square, the National Museum and Opera House. From here it is a short walk to Old Town, the historical center of the city, where you will find the astronomical clock. Close to here is the Charles Bridge and Malá Strana. The apartment is less than a minutes walk from three central metro and tram stations, Museum, IP Pavlova and Nam Míru, which take you to all parts of the city. Tesco supermarket is also a minute away by foot. This beautiful Pragues Apartment is located in the prestigious residential neighborhood Vinohrady. La Dolce Vita of Prague’s Upper Crust This imposing residential area has everything: elegant architecture, great restaurants and cafés, places of cultural interest, and greenery – all just a few minutes from the historical centre. Ornate Art Nouveau façades and streets lined with mature trees slightly evoke Paris – and we daresay the quality of cafés is equal – making Vinohrady a highly sought-after location. We’ll give you an overview of the area around Náměstí Míru (Peace Square), the virtual centrepiece of this quarter. Vinohrady’s contemporary appearance emerged at the turn of the 20th century, when primarily upper middle class, including renowned artists such as the Čapek brothers and sculptor Ladislav Šaloun, creator of the Jan Hus statue at the Old Town Square, moved into newly built villas and apartment buildings. As the name suggests, the history of Vinohrady goes back much further. When Charles IV had ordered grapevines to be planted here in the 14th century, the area began to be called “Vineyard Mountains” and later Royal Vineyards (Královské Vinohrady). It was an independent city until it was finally annexed into the city of Prague in 1922. The focal point of Náměstí Míru is the Church of St Ludmila built at the end of the 19th century in the Neo-Gothic style. It houses vitrages, paintings, and sculptures. The church is open half an hour before a mass, daily except Sunday at 4 p.m., and on Sundays at 8:30 and 10:30 a.m. In December, Christmas markets with fairytale charm are held literally at the foot of the church. Other buildings that catch your eye at the square are the Art Nouveau Vinohrady Theatre and the Vinohrady National House, a venue for balls andother social events. Vinohrady is known for its relaxed residential character. In addition to the locals whose families have lived here for several generations, young hipsters and a diverse mix of foreigners from around the world have moved into the area. It seems not a day goes by when a new café, bistro, or restaurant is opened. Náměstí Míru itself is enlivened by an outdoor piano and the nearby Poesiomat, a “jukebox for poetry” with recordings of Czech and American poetry, which looks like a megaphone in the shape of an inverted letter “J” – a device as well as a sculpture. Where to go in Vinohrady? Start at Náměstí Míru and just set out – head for a café, a restaurant, or maybe even the Žižkov Television Tower If it’s sunny, don’t miss one of Vinohrady’s parks Riegrovy sady(Rieger Gardens) with its unusual view at the city centre, or Grébovka with its pavilion and vineyards. If you long for charming streets just walk through – Americká, Londýnská, Lužická, Lublaňská, and Mánesová – and don’t forget to look up – some of the most interesting details on the building façades are on the upper floors. Next time you won’t want to stay anywhere else! Havlíček Gardens (Grébovka - Havlíčkovy sady) This park, inspired by the Italian Renaissance, has fountains and water cascades, lakes, pavilions, statues and a charming grotto, as well as a unique view of the city. The charming Vineyard Gazebo surrounded by large vineyards and the Grébovka Pavilion garden café, with its unique replica of the original historic bowling alley from the 1870s, offer pleasant places to sit. Rieger Gardens (Riegrovy sady) This park, over a century old, shelters intimate nooks and places with wooded areas, open grassy areas, unusual vistas of the city and a large garden restaurant with comfortable seating in the shade of chestnut trees. Vineyards used to be located here, and all that remains today are parts of the original buildings: the Classicist lookout from the 1920s, renovated into a restaurant, and a three-sided obelisk of sandstone from around 1840.
