Flagstone patios on the north, south and west gird the home, and a beautiful wood deck extends from the north side of the living room. A detached oversized garage houses bicycles, inflatable kayak and hiking gear, which is available for your use during your stay. We cannot accept bookings for travelers with trailers.
We built this home in 1992 and only the best craftsmen worked on our home in the Pack Creek Ranch enclave. We designed the home with patios or decks on three sides because the home is at the base of the La Sal mountains, nestled among the Pinyon-Junipers with superb views in every direction. We love coming here to hike, canoe, bicycle and just relax -- we hope you do too! Guy and Jeanine

We had a wonderful time. The home is very comfortable and private. Fully equipped. It was awesome sitting outside & breathing in the fresh air & gazing at the stars in the sky that were brilliant.
The caretaker, Steve, is also very helpful. We left a few items behind and he overnighted them to us in Florida
Close enough to the town of Moab, but far enough to stay away from "city" lights!
Absolutely beautiful home in a spectacular setting, Best of both worlds, quiet peace but minutes from Moab and to the top of the mountains. We will be staying here again.
Positive is its a Beautifully Designed Mountain Home and Great Location! Four adults rented this home for a 3 night stay. This home is very secluded and very quiet most of the time. It backs up to a hill where you can sit and enjoy watching, Chipmunks, Squirrels, and Rabbits run around the hill side, while birds fly over head and sing in the trees. There is 1 King size bed upstairs with an unattached bathroom, and 1 Queen size bedroom down stairs. Only other sleeping arrangements would be for pull out sofas. This home is nice, BUT could use some TLC! Walking in at first it appeared to be impressive, but on a closer look Very Unkept! Cob Webs All Over the small corner desk in the main living area where the stereo system is. Dust "bunnies" and cob webs in the Master Bedroom and Closets, with hand prints on mirror. Please be advised there is Only 1 Robe in the master closet, and 2 down stairs, strange to only see 3! The trash compactor, which is listed to use on the instructions, does Not Work! When you pull open the Trash Compactor, there is Duct tape all across it stating Out Of Order! Molded Bread and Chips in kitchen cabinet drawer, which we threw out. Don't pull out the drawer in front of the sink!! Large stain on the Pottery Barn Love Seat in the main floor office. Shower in the downstairs bathroom, Hot Water Handle falls off in hand. As many days as this home appears to be rented, I can not understand how it could be so "unkept," maybe someone different needs to be looking into cleaning it. Tried several times to call the phone number listed upon check out to notify someone we were leaving at 9:30, but the number would not work, ended up sending an email to Robert. I'm sorry to give this home such a negative review, but for the price listed/paid I DID Expect A Higher Quality Presentation. I do understand that owners are at the mercy of whomever they have taking care of their homes when they are not close enough to view it on a regular basis.
Great house and location backing up to national forest. Love the quiet and all the amenities.
The location was beautiful with amazing views. Our kids had fun exploring the foothills right out the side door. We loved the privacy and beauty. The home was clean with plenty of towels and toiletries. I also loved that checkout was simple. We didn't have to do too much like we have in other rentals. Our family had an amazing time. Thank you!
We loved our time in Moab and this house was a great place to relax and enjoy quality family time, while being convenient to so many beautiful parks. We spent 4 nights in Moab and visited Arches, Dead Horse State Park, Canyonlands and rafted the Colorado River. After enjoying the sights, it was totally worth driving the short and scenic 20 minutes from town to get to the cabin. We are a family of 5 with 3 kids ages 8,10, and 12yo from Atlanta, so we thoroughly enjoyed the quiet, remote, natural setting of this luxurious cabin. In addition to the house being spacious, rustically elegant and super comfortable, the highlights for us about staying in Moab Hideaway include seeing so much wildlife (mostly deer), exploring the vast area/hills around the house, fishing at nearby Ken's Lake, cooking dinner every night on the outdoor grill, hanging out and playing board games on the beautiful wrap-around stone patio, and seeing countless stars at night. Wish we could have stayed here longer!
15 miles from Moab, 30 minutes from Arches National Park, 20 minutes from the Colorado River and an hour from Canyonlands National Park. If you are interested in hiking in red rock canyons, it is located in a phenomenal spot.
