Always a pleasure staying at the farm.

  • 5 of 5

We've stayed at Anna Valley many times now, and always have great time. This was our first time with two couples, and no issues whatsoever. Highly recommend.

Relaxing country cabin

  • 5 of 5

After taking my daughter to UVA each morning for five days, all I could think of was getting back to this relaxing cabin. Quiet and comfortable with everything you'll need. Big fenced-in yard to let your dog burn off some energy, or take them on a hike through the woods that borders the farm. I have no idea why anybody would want to stay in a noisy cramped hotel with tight parking spaces when you could stay at this spacious cabin with a parking area I could even back my Suburban into. Beautiful horses and friendly goats are right across the farm lane from the cabin; deer and squirrels are right outside the fenced yard bordering the woods. And if you have a problem, a call to Paul and he has his employee who lives on the farm on it ASAP. I had a small problem and by the time I came back from dropping off my daughter it was fixed. Thanks Micah! Thank you Paul for making us feel welcome during our stay at your tranquil farm.

Nice getaway not too far from home.

  • 4 of 5

We really enjoyed our stay, our 13 month old loved waking up and seeing the horses so close and they were so friendly as was the staff. We were able to explore the property and the foilage was starting. Our dog enjoyed the horses as well and being in the fenced in portion of the yard was great for him to roam free as well. It was a great getaway and is still close enough to other attractions as well like breweries, orchards and wineries. Would definitely visit again and recommend!

Great Getaway

  • 4 of 5

My wife and I had a very relaxing time. It was just what we needed. The house was perfect on a farm and is very quiet. You can step out the front door and be right in the pasture or the stable.... your choice. The area is surrounded by wineries and breweries making a day out in the country that much more perfect! We were also thankful that the owner worked with us last minute to get us in....thank you!

Wonderful Vacation Spot for the Family

  • 5 of 5

I was looking for a place close to Charlottesville UVA for football games and close to the Vineyards and Presidents homes. I found Pauls' house and was very surprised by the hospitality by the owner and his property managers. The cabin is very spacious and had all I needed to prepare our meals. The pastures with horses really sets this mood. Come here for a vacation if you are looking for a stress free location and plenty of time to relax and enjoy all that Charlottesville and Lake Anna have to offer. Close to Richmond International Airport fly in and rent a car.

All the best, Paul

Perfect Getaway

  • 5 of 5

The cabin and surrounding farm were beautiful, and the people very hospitable and friendly. The owner of the property, Paul, was very accommodating and helped get us in a day early on very short notice. Unfortunately, it was a death in the family that brought us there, but we will definitely be back under happier circumstances to better enjoy all that this rental has to offer.

About Owner/Manager

I grew up in upstate New York, working on my brother's hay farm during the summers. I've been in Virginia since 1989 and run an IT firm, a federal contractor.

Owner/Manager purchased this house in 2002

Why Owner/Manager chose Louisa

This house is not a typical cabin. It is a fully appointed house, a peaceful getaway on a working hay and horse farm. The trainers work on gentling wild mustangs for the Bureau of Land Managment. With miles of trails, you can hike, walk through the woods and enjoy a peaceful setting in the country.

What makes this house unique

Quiet, peaceful farm setting, woods and fields with trails for hiking, fenced back yard.
