Only several miles from Provincetown's restaurants, shopping, whale watching, nightlife. Local bus stops close by. Quiet local restaurants within walking distance. Linens are provided, kitchen has everything you need.
I thoroughly enjoyed my three week stay in this quaint and cozy beachside condo. There is more than enough room inside for a couple to stay comfortably with a great little deck off the back equipped with a small table and chairs and a view of the water. A front porch area provides additional outdoor space that is nicely shaded in the afternoon. The kitchen has all the essentials including a small full size fridge and apartment size stove. Even though this unit is in the building closest to the road, it is set up on a hill so it is quite quiet and always catches the breezes off the water.
Located in a small complex of buildings, Unit #2 is a quintessential Cape Cod beach cottage. Comfortable and homey, there is a quiet and uncrowded beach a very short walk down the stairs from your front door. The beach is for the use of this and the neighboring complex residents and guests only. We repeatedly left our chairs, umbrella and towels while going back to the cottage for lunch and they were safe and sound when we returned. Both residents and guests here are friendly without being intrusive.
This particular area of the cape is where you will find a great number of artists and galleries as well as a number of fabulous restaurants. Provincetown is a little over 5 miles away in one direction and Wellfleet about 12 miles in the other. The local bus stops right out front on the main road and takes you to the middle of Provincetown for far less than the cost of parking your car for the day. It runs from early morning to midnight daily. You can also transfer to the beach shuttle to get to Provincetown Race Point as well as other beaches there. The little town of Wellfleet is about a 20 minute drive in the other direction and has both an indoor cinema and the Capes' only drive-in theatre!
The only reason I gave a 4 star review instead of 5 is because I found the bed to be a little uncomfortable for a longer stay. By day 9 I was feeling a bit stiff in the morning. In addition, a little better vacuuming under and behind furniture and more attention to the cleanliness of stovetop and oven would have been nice. A mattress upgrade and these attention to details would make these accommodations a full 5-Star in my book.
This was a great place to stay for a very nice Cape Cod escape. The place was clean and well maintained, and the owner was very prompt and responsive to any questions we had. We enjoyed hanging out watching the sun set and eating on the back deck. The ride into town was only minutes. We also enjoyed hanging out on the private beach. The unit included everything we needed for a pleasant stay at a beach cottage.
Wonderful getaway! Unit was clean with everything you would need. Lyn was always quick to respond with any question I had.
We had a wonderful stay. The place is nothing fancy but it has everything you need at a reasonable price. Everything is clean and the kitchen has everything needed. The check in and out couldn't have been any easier and Lynn always responded to any question really quickly. The location is nice. If you have bikes it's a relatively flat 4 ish mile ride into Provincetown. Since parking in Ptown comes at a high premium this was a great option for us. There was also a bus you could catch that stopped close to the property as well if bikes aren't your thing. The place was quiet and a beach is close by that is great for launching a kayak or paddle board. It was also about a 7 mile bike ride out to race point and herring cove beaches which are really beautiful. At race point we even got to see a migrating whale pass by. We would definitely visit again!
We've stayed here many times (for a week in July, August or September), and each time find it remarkably easy, the perfect base for a vacation. We sit on the balcony in the evening and watch the sunset, and in front in the morning, to catch the morning sun. The unit is clean and comfortable, the kitchen well-provided with pots/pans. We do cook! The owner recently added A/C. Perfect for one or two people.
We stayed in this cozy studio for a relaxing week-long vacation in the middle of August and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The condo is in a perfect spot, away from Route 6 but still close enough to make quick trips for supplies and to restaurants/shops. Even better, it's only a quick 4 mile bike ride to Provincetown, where you can shop, eat and ride the Provincelands trail. Just steps down the path to a calm bay beach, which was peaeful but still had lots of people nearby. Perfect for a run. The condo itself, while not fancy, has everything you need to make basic meals, watch TV if you feel like it and especially relax out on the back deck. We'd love to come back next year.
Minutes away from the nightlife, restaurants, shopping, whale watching of Provincetown. Local bus into town. But only steps away from a quiet private beach. Private deck overlooking bay and Provincetown harbor.
