Guestbook comments from the owner

To review this stay makes me worry someone else might be taking the weekend we will wish to book in the future as this ranch has limited accommodations. This ranch has all the amenities and modern conveniences one would need and more.

From the moment you open the private gate and are greeted by ponies and puppies you realize what a gem this place is. The grounds are wonderfully landscaped and is very dog friendly, we left ours at home but won't do that again!

Marty our host and owner is attentive and very helpful as to the fun places to visit. The sunrises and sunsets are gorgeous and the morning walk thru the property visiting the horses and baying donkeys was so fun. Kids would love this place ( very spacious and safe) and beg you to go back again soon. Couples will enjoy the relaxed atmosphere and quiet beauty of the landscape. I'm surprised this place isn't booked a year in advance, that's how special it is...

Too short

A weekend away to celebrate my husband's birthday and it was just what we needed. The space was private, charming and quiet. Great location for wine tasting and it was great to be able to bring our puppy, Gracie. Gracie loved the spacious yard and didn't want to leave. The contact person had great suggestions on wineries and dinner, thank you!

Absolutely lovely

  • 5 of 5

I am so thankful I found this birthday getaway. My words can't explain the greatness of it all. We were greeted by Uriah who works on the ranch and Karen the owner was on her horse. She was very kind and caring. We enjoyed hiking around the beautiful acres of land with our dog, Bella. It was peaceful to sit on the veranda having dinner and drinking wine. The farm animals were adorable. The ponies would come galloping to greet us. We loved it so much we stayed another night. Thank you, Karen, for our unforgettable stay. Dan, Colleen and Bella

An enchanting and peaceful ranch with a mix of well behaved animals.

From the moment we arrived we were greeted by friendly dogs and of course the owners were amazing too. The barn we stayed in was clean with a beautiful view from the front and back porch. It also had great trails for hiking and running. We brought our dog with us and all of the other dogs were friendly to her. If you are looking for a peaceful getaway and are an animal lover this is the place! Would highly recommend it and will definitely return.

Western cottage lived up to it's billing!

The fresh air, the view, dog friendly and private makes this a hidden gem. We had a great visit, walking the ranch giving carrots to the animals was a fun experience. A true piece of Americana country living.

Magical little gem in Paso Robles!

  • 5 of 5

My husband & I, and our 2 dogs had an amazing weekend at this cottage. The owners were more than accommodating & the house had everything you would need to be comfortable. The cottage is super clean & quaint. The views were stunning. Our first night we cooked in & enjoyed the breathtaking sunset with a bottle of wine on the back porch. Our dogs had a blast exploring & running about. We loved visiting the ranch animals; dogs, mini horses, donkeys & a goat! The pictures we took don't fully portray the beauty of this place. So quiet & peaceful. This retreat is perfect for anyone who LOVES animals, wants to travel with their dogs & getaway. The best thing is most of the wineries in the area are dog friendly, so forget leaving your pups behind & take them along! I think this little house is about to get a ton more bookings, as all of my friends are asking about it;) Thanks so much for everything! The Chabs & Puppies had a blast!

Awesome ranch

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I, along with our two sons, had the pleasure of the staying at Karen's ranch a couple of weeks ago... The ranch is beautiful and guest cottage is very nice. Karen was a gracious host and I appreciate the kindness she demonstrated toward my youngest son... My boys had a great time feeding the horses, donkey and goat... During our stay we traveled to San Luis Obispo and went horseback riding which we all enjoyed...There are many wineries within a close proximity of the ranch for anyone who wants to go wine tasting.. I would recommend this property to anyone as we found it to be very clean and inviting.. We will definitely be back !!!
