Bedrooms 4
Property type house
Minimum Stay 7 nights

About the property

4 BRs, 2 Baths, Sleeps 7. This is generally a Friday-Friday rental.

Our 4-bedroom, 2-bath home, located in a private residential development, offers beautiful water views of Cape Cod bay and is a 5-minute walk to a spectacular and private, uncrowded beach. The beauty of the natural surroundings specific to Truro can be seen from every window of our house. Our home has always been in our family, and three generations of family have enjoyed and lovingly cared for it. Our kitchen will be newly renovated by spring, 2017. Other recent updates include all new windows and exterior doors, new skylight, new cedar shingles, and some interior renovation and furnishings so we are ready to share with other caring families on a limited basis. Please see calendar and listing of specific weeks below for availability.

Our home is well maintained and very clean, and is a happy place to vacation in. It is uniquely located in an area of the Cape that is surrounded by the Cape Cod National Seashore with natural seascape settings, a variety of nature walks, and dune views. NO smoking, NO pets, NO exceptions.

Our rate includes twice/week trash & recycle removal and housecleaning service at the end of your stay.

Our house has high speed internet, WIFI, new 32 inch flat screen cable TV, and DVD.

Being an ''upside down'' house, the second floor offers a great room which combines living, sitting, and dining areas with views of the bay. This room has a vaulted ceiling with a large skylight which allows light and sun in all day. Off this room is a kitchen as well as a master bedroom, single bedroom, and full bath with shower. The kitchen comes fully-equipped. Three sliding doors off the great room and master bedroom provide access to a large wrap-around deck with seating and outside table and chairs for dining. A gentle breeze off the ocean can be felt throughout the great room and bedrooms during day and evening.

On the first floor are two additional bedrooms, full bath with bathtub, a second living room area, and a laundry/utility room. In the back of the house, there is a large outdoor shower as well as separate room to store bicycles. The house has capacity to sleep up to 7 people in four separate sleeping areas. We ask that you provide your own linens, personal and beach towels, or we can provide you with information to a local linen and towel rental supplier.

There is conservation land on the beachfront property across the street from the house, owned by our family, with a walkway leading out to a deck area. This deck area can be used for quiet sitting and conversation, reading, and enjoying the expansive views of Cape Cod bay.

Our home/location offers a great combination of privacy and tranquility yet is surrounded by the more active communities of Provincetown and Wellfleet, which are minutes away with their outstanding restaurants, shops, and art galleries. Local fish markets, shops with fresh produce, homemade breads, and homemade ice cream are nearby. At our home, you will find an updated list of our favorite restaurants in various price ranges and local markets as well as suggested nature walks or day excursions.

A Friday-Friday rental allows you to travel to and from the Cape by car when there is less bumper-to-bumper, high season traffic.

Comfortable house, fantastic location

  • 5 of 5

The house is very comfortable and well cared for. The view is amazing! Located on a quiet dead end street, you walk a few steps to the beach access and a wonderful swimming and walking beach. We rode our bikes to Provicetown in about 25 min, very pretty once you get on 6A.

The living space on the second floor is open and bright with ocean views all along the front. The house has everything you need for your stay. The kitchen is well equipt and I hear to be completely renovated by next summer - even better!

We have been lucky enough to stay twice and would highly recommend. Terry and Joseph are lovely and quick to respond to any requests. A wonderful get away!

Spectacular Sunsets over Mass. Bay to Provincetown

  • 5 of 5

Wonderful well maintained, updated family home in a pristine, quiet ocean-side location. Spectacular views of Mass bay with a 2 minute walk to the steps of your lovely private beach on Mass bay.

This home is very well equipped with all expected rental amenities, comfortable furnishings and beds, artistic accents and pride of ownership. The owners are very involved in insuring a pleasant, hassle free vacation and Terry is a complete resource for local cuisine/restaurants/shopping. Multiple ocean beaches within 10-20 minute drive (seals included) and P-town is 20 minutes away with shops, restaurants, New England Cape architecture and its own special flair!

Kitchen is small but functional (soon to be updated), living area can accommodate 8-10 comfortably, lower level has 2 bedrooms, bathroom and large living area that can be closed off for an additional bedroom. Lots of stuff for the beach with chairs, boogie boards, etc. Extra pillows and comforters as needed.

Steps to the beach are multiple and moderately steep, not handicap accessible.

Water temperature in Mass. Bay and Ocean is cold compared to the beaches in Falmouth/Hyannis. However this area of the cape is much less developed and filled with classic Cape character.

Would certainly rent this property again without hesitation. Great blueberry picking in the field behind the house!

The Best House We Have Ever Rented On The Cape

  • 5 of 5

This house is perfectly located, in a private community with an unobstructed view of the bay, sunsets, and the lights of Provincetown at night, and just a few steps from the access to the beautiful and totally uncrowded bay beach. It is close enough to Provincetown to make that an easy destination for a meal or a stroll, while still being close to Wellfleet and Truro when you want fewer crowds. The house itself is beautiful and generously supplied with all the essentials, and the owner, Terry, was incredibly supportive, giving us advice in advance on how to babyproof it for our grandson and checking with us to make sure that all was going well. We have been renting houses in the Wellfleet/Truro area for many years, and this is the first one that we hope to return to next summer.

Ideal Vacation House!

  • 5 of 5

We spent a week at this Truro vacation home July 2014. The house and the setting overlooking the Bay was an idyllic setting. Sunsets every night with Provincetown in the background! The house had 4 bedrooms and was perfect. The living room was spacious and easily entertains a group of eight. So sunny and breezy – the right mix for a summer vacation. The kitchen was well appointed and had everything we needed. There was a binder filled with places to eat, hike, beaches, bike trails – great recommendations! The house had a beautiful wrap around porch; good for dining, reading, just “being”, and we even did some watercolor painting there. There is a second private deck that was great for sunset cocktails or just some private time overlooking the water. The private beach was great for long walks, swimming, reading and reflecting. One afternoon we had the beach all to ourselves! On one of our walks at a nearby beach, we were delighted to see scores of sea lions sunning themselves on a sandbar – close enough to hear them. The house was close to so many Cape Cod attractions, beaches, restaurants, biking and more. A surprise benefit was the wildlife in the area seen from the deck – songbirds, a red fox and the occasional hawk.

You won’t be disappointed!

Comfortable, Clean, Great Location & Views

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I have been coming to the cape for many years and this was one of the most relaxing, comfortable rental experiences we've ever had. The owners take pride in their home and it shows. The house has excellent views of the bay, comfortable rooms and a cozy, spacious living room. The kitchen and dining has all the amenities one may need. With a short walk to the bay one is guaranteed a relaxing vacation. We look forward to staying here again next summer.

Beautiful house with a priceless view

  • 5 of 5

The house is beautiful and extremely well-maintained and it has everything you need for a great getaway. There's a large deck with a table and chairs, perfect for breakfast or a sunset meal. There's also a little deck just across the road that is wonderful to view sunsets over Provincetown. It's a quick 3-4 minute walk down to a private beach, which was a highlight for my family's vacation. The house is also located near the end of a dead end street so it is super quiet and the neighbors aren't too close by. The house itself was very comfortable and had plenty of seating. I found the notes throughout the house very helpful to figure out where I could find things and how to use appliances. There are lots of little stores, restaurant and markets nearby. It's a great bike ride into Provincetown! Terry was great to work with, very thorough, and really cares about the house. I definitely recommend a visit to this place. I certainly plan to go back next year!
