Quiet street, two blocks from small, uncrowded beach, and boat launch where you can see bug light house and Shelter Island, sail boats and wind surfers. You can also drive, walk or bike 2 miles to 67 steps on the long Island sound and have semi private romantic sunsets with a bottle of wine from a local vineyard. Greenport Village is a 10 minute bike ride for restaurants, bars, brewery, antique shopping and other unique places. Best Golf Course in Long Island is a walk or bike ride away as well. If you want fresh food, there are several farm stands near by. Its just a great place to get away and enjoy life. House is simple, no luxury and thrills, family owned house where many friends and families have visited.
Barbecue, laundry, bikes and fishing equipment, and beach items available to use, so no need to hall extra items.

Greek Family owned summer home. Many of the neighbors are long time family friends who are also from the Greek background. We have decided to rent it in order to help maintain the property for future family and friend vacations
Lovely home. Very clean and comfortable. A short stroll to a beautiful beach. My husband and I couldn't have been more pleased. It was exactly what we were hoping for and are looking forward to staying again next summer!
We had a wonderful stay. The house is extremely comfortable, had everything you can think of, and was very clean. Its proximity to the beach made it even that much better. We are very much looking forward to renting this property again next summer! I highly recommend!
We had a wonderful time at this adorable house in the charming town of Greenport. Even before we arrived the owners texted us to make sure we had their contact info in case we needed anything. They were very responsive and helpful. The house was very clean and comfortable and just a short walk to the beach. We will definitely be back again. The town has fabulous restaurants and charming shops. Try 1943 pizza, 1st and south and of course my favorite Hellenic Cabins for the best Greek food ever!
The location to the beach for the price could not be beat! It was great for our two small kids. We walked down to the beach every morning and after nap time in the afternoons. The back porch and fire pit were ideal for barbecues and morning coffee. Again, the location was perfect and easy to get to Greenport.
The only suggestions we would have would be to inform guests of what they need to bring or buy once there. We had to go buy toilet paper, paper towels, dishwashing detergent, and laundry detergent. We left it for the next guests but it would have been nice to know to bring these things. Two of the back bedrooms don't have AC which on cool nights is okay but their were a few nights that it was very hot and stuffy. The bedroom off the kitchen could use a simple window so that it isn't open to the kitchen. It made it impossible for my parents to sleep in because the baby woke up at 5:30 am.
Other than these few things, the price in North Fork can't be beat and the location to the beach is amazing!!!
This was my second time staying here and it was another great experience! Convenient location to wineries (Kontokosta is 5 min drive, many others within 20 minutes), town (5 min drive), and beach (walk to one less than 5 min down the road). Fenced in yard with deck and fire pit/grills (haven't used them but look great!), and house has everything you could need! Would highly recommend a stay here if visiting Greenport!
clean and comfortable home. good location: short walk to the water, close to local bars, and a short drive into the center of town. house is well stocked with anything you may need.
From the home, you can walk to bay where you will see sailing, windsurfing, swimming, fishing. You can bike from the house to Orient State Park and stop at several Long Island Sound beaches and bike through historic town of Orient Point. You can also take ferry by car, walking or biking to Shelter Island and then to Sag Harbor if you wish. Shelter Island has a beach where the yachts stop for dinner. If you like the Ocean you can easily drive to Westhampton and go to Cupsoque Beach, which is open to the public, with music, food and nice breezes and waves for family. From the house you can easily take a ride to many close vineyards and if the weather is bad shopping in Riverhead in the Outlets. You can even take a ferry to New London CT and go to the Mohegan Sun casinos. If you don't have a car, biking and walking will get you to many places. There are several ways to get to Greenport. 495 Long Island Highway, Orient Point Ferry from CT, Shelter Island Ferry from the South Fork, Long Island Railroad and Hampton Jitney from NY City or if you are a boater/sailor Greenport has two Marina's the closet to the house is Sterling Harbor Marina. You may even be able to anchor off shore and boat in and walk to house.
