A very pleasant property

  • 4 of 5

A very attractive and pleasant property with a good bathroom and nice decor and some fine woodwork. Naturally, the main attraction is the opening roof and we enjoyed effectively having outdoor meals with the convenience of being right next to the kitchen. The roof itself is operated by pulling on a rope and is a little crudely made, so it occasionally needs a few attempts to close, and requires someone of reasonable size to operate it, but we managed fine. The village is well situated for day trips to numerous places, but has few amenities itself: there is an excellent bakery in Uzès but nothing more local. Sylvie and her family were very helpful, thankyou for making our stay a pleasant one.

Beautiful property, in a beautiful village

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at the Mallevay's beautiful property in mid-September as a party of 6 adults and 1 infant.

The house is a good size (even for us all) and has everything you could want from a holiday home - wifi was a huge bonus! The retractable roof and dining table were a massive hit - we spent quite a few evenings enjoying a glass of Chateauneuf du Pape under the late Summer sun!

Saint Siffret itself is beautiful, if a little secluded, although you are never too far from some of the bigger towns (Uzes, Avignon, Nimes are all within an hours drive and well worth going to see).

Finally - Francois, Sylvie and Dominique were great hosts. No question went unanswered, and they did absolutely everything to make us feel at home in their property. I have no doubt we'll be asking to come and stay here again in the future!

Lovely home and lovely owners

  • 5 of 5

A beautiful house in a quiet, picturesque medieval town. House has all conveniences with parking available. The owners and their son, who met us when we arrived, are very nice and responded to emails quickly. The house renovations by Gregorie are spectacular.

St. Siffret is only a few miles from Uzes and St. Quentin where there are many shops and restaurants. It's a good place to stay to make day trips to the sea, to the mountains, and to other towns and cities.

We highly recommend this property.

The house was difficult to find the first night because there are no house numbers - print out google map ahead of time or use GPS.

Little Paradise in South of France

  • 5 of 5

This incredible medieval house in the South of France was a home away from home for us. Although fully renovated, the owners made a point of keeping most of the incredible architecture from the 11th-12th century, the stone walls, the wooden beams in the ceiling, the picturesque stone steps etc… Most of the work done was performed by the owner’s son Gregoire, an incredibly talented craftsman/carpenter. You will notice his handy work everywhere in the house, He made the most beautiful dining table, coffee table, all the wooden lamps etc.. The house is fully equipped, TV/satellite, WIFI, BBQ, slow wood burning fireplace, retractable ceiling over the dining room table which gives you the feeling of being on a private deck but in the comfort of your own home. The town itself St-Siffret is of the same era, again lots of interesting historical sites, which you can look at just wandering the streets. The town is near several major attractions Uzes (best market ever!! On Saturdays), Avignon, Pont du Gard etc. You are also surrounded by many vineyards, we went to Chateau Neuf du Pape which was pretty incredible. There are fig trees and blackberry bushes growing everywhere… There is a nice bakery/convenient store about 5 minutes away which makes the best croissants.. The owners of the house were very accommodating from the first greeting to the end, they made our stay one of the best relaxing vacation we ever had. Thank you to Sylvie and Grégoire...

Toller Urlaub in liebevoll restauriertem Haus

  • 5 of 5
