This home has been in my family since 1937 and I am the third generation to live there. I have great memories as a child spending summers here. It still is my favorite place on earth!
George Simmons purchased this house in 1937
If you want to enjoy the Ocean in the fall, there is no better location. The panoramic view allows you to appreciate the changing colors of the sky and water as well as enjoy the recreational boat activity.
The house sits on a peninsula with the harbor on one side and the broad Atlantic Ocean on the other. Historic Scituate Lighthouse is a three minute walk from the house.
We enjoyed our week on the Ocean. There was plenty of off-street parking and 3 minute walk to the beach. The kids had a ton of fun playing near the water. Great porch and a relaxing week.
We rented this property for a family vacation and it worked out so well! There was nothing better than waking up and having a cup of tea on the porch overlooking the ocean. The property was a two minute walk from the beach access and it's located on a family street so the older kids could wander as they pleased (and get rid of the sand before they came inside!). The house has an outdoor shower and a full kitchen. It's a short walk to town, which is filled with seaside gift shops and restaurants. Just up the street is a historic lighthouse with views overlooking the harbor. It's about an hour from Boston, but there is a train station in town. Couldn't recommend enough!
What a great place! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back. House has everything we needed and is located right on the water. Scituate harbor has numerous good restaurants and fun shops too!
This home is a spectacular waterfront location with panoramic ocean views and is a great family vacation spot directly on the water
Relax on the deck that runs the full length of the house or on the shaded porch. The full kitchen is modern with granite countertops and the home has a washer/dryer/dishwasher, 1.5 baths, gas grill, plus an outdoor shower for the kids, as well as plenty of off-street parking. The house comes with full linens and towels.
The home is on a large lot with a nice lawn and privacy as well as stairs to the ocean. Great for family of 4 or 5.
Walk or bike to town with great restaurants, marinas, and shopping. The Train to Boston and golf courses are only 5 minutes away. Scituate offers numerous beaches to explore
