Quiet and heavenly location.
This was the first time away on vacation that we rented a Villa, and so very glad we did! Sheila is a wonderful hostess and is on top of any needs you may have while you are there. We had cold drinks waiting for us on our arrival. The yard is beautiful and the view is just breath taking! The location is close to many activities and I suggest you rent a good vehicle as you are at the top of a mountain and the drive up is fun! I would and have already recommended this villa to friends and would love to go back again someday. Thank you Sheila from the funny four from small towns in New Brunswick, Canada.
We stayed in the lower 1-bedroom unit at Paradise Villa and were very pleased with it! The view is second to none and the personal outdoor living space with this unit (large balcony, lounge chairs, outdoor couch, dining table) was the highlight of our trip. Visitors who stayed in the upstairs 2-bedroom unit who had also rented the lower unit in the past said the outdoor living space of the lower unit was much better and the bed more comfortable.
The unit was spotless upon arrival, the kitchen fully equipped, shampoo and soaps provided, new towels given every few days, and the host Sheila knew exactly when to ask if we needed anything and when to let us quietly relax. Her house is close by on the property so we felt that if we needed her she was right there but at the same time we were given a lot of privacy and did not feel like we were in someone else's space.
While we didn't drive any farther up the mountain, it felt like the unit is near the summit of Pic Paradis. An absolutely stunning location but it may be a daunting drive for some. I highly recommend arriving during daylight on your first night as the road is a single lane in many places, contains pot holes, and has one switchback that is challenging in the dark. We rented the smallest possible car (Kia Picanto from Louis at Automaxx) and it handled the road like a champ! Traffic on the island was near gridlock much of the time and being up Pic Paradis meant coming down into traffic every time we wanted to eat out or go to the beach but if you like an adventurous drive or are looking for a beautiful place to lounge for a week this place is for you!
The home and host Sheila were great!! The view of the island from the villa is captivating both in the day and night. The heated pool was perfect for an evening swim after the beach all day especially since it can get a little breezy. The drive to the property can be tricky as their is a 21 Pic Paradis prior to Loterie Farm, be sure to keep past the Farm even though the road looks challenging - put the car in the L gear and head towards paradise!!
My family & I (wife, 12-year old son, & myself) stayed at this villa for 5 nights in April 2015 and enjoyed our time here. The villa was very clean and modern, and had all of the things we needed in the kitchen and bathrooms. We found the beds & pillows comfortable, and we all liked the two elaborate showers which featured a large main shower head, but also had six "sprinklers" in front of you. The layout of the house is a little unusual with the sofa, coffee table & television in the kitchen, but other than that the bedrooms have enough space, the bathrooms are large, and the front room (not sure what to call it) has a lot of additional space - both for sitting & even sleeping (both futons looked like they would fold flat for sleeping) as well as space for eating or working.
As this villa is located at the top of a mountain, you need a car to get here, and to go out for food and groceries. The road up to the villa is steep and narrow, but we managed it fine with a mid-size rental car. The villa and the entire "compound" has terrific views of the west and southwest parts of St. Martin as well as Anguilla. The downside of being on the top of a mountain is that it can be windy (very windy at times) and seemed to rain more here as well. It also seemed to be a bit cooler than at sea level. One issue we had with the villa is that the sliding doors to the bedrooms made a lot of noise at night when the wind was blowing because they were rattling. We ended up leaving the doors open or only partially closed to avoid the rattling noises.
Another point to note is the owners live in the building on the other side of the pool so if you are looking for privacy, you may not be completely happy. Sheila, the owner and our contact, was very helpful and accommodating. She speaks French and we do not so we had a little trouble fully communicating at times but we both did our best and there was no issue. We had fun with her dog "Bunty" as well, and he was always very well behaved.
Regarding the pool -- it was awesome! It is very large, has multiple levels, and has an infinity edge. It is also heated which you definitely need with the wind here. Unfortunately the pool heater stopped working mid-way through our stay so our last two days were chilly!
Please note that the owners are nearing completion on the lower level of the building so at some point soon there may be multiple renters using the villa so the pool may end up being shared.
The views are amazing, even from the large, heated, infinity edge pool, and absolutely spectacular at night! The villa is perfect-the breeze and ceiling fans kept it comfortable and cool. Everything - barbeque, showers (plenty of hot water and water pressure), refrigerator, etc. - is top of the line! Rent a jeep, as the road is a bit steep and bumpy, but not a problem. Marigot, Grand Case, groceries are within a 10 minute drive; the Butterfly Farm and Orient Beach about 15 minutes. The Lottery Farm is 2 minutes down the road and a great place for fun and lunch or dinner. Roads are well marked; drivers very courteous. The owner, Sheila, is welcoming and very helpful. And the views are absolutely stunning! Can't say enough good things about Sheila, this wonderful villa and our great vacation there!!!

The Lottery Farm, the road ahead is given, everything up there a breathtaking view on the island of Saint Martin and the neighboring islands. It is the highest peak of the island 424 m. The passage leading to the Pic, on your right, do not miss the Lottery Farm between mountain shows and rainforest, the farm has hundreds of plant species, all the allusive names, medicinal herbs, mahogany, soursop, mango, papaya , Guavaberry tree. The animal species are not left out either: iguanas, hummingbirds |, monkeys, mongoose, parrots. Here, everything is different: the smells, sounds or silences, vegetation. From hiking, there is a restaurant where passersby can come to relax and have a snack or make acrobranche (tree climbing)
