7 Bedrooms, 6 Bathroom Luxury Home that sleeps 16-18
Imagine enjoying your Aspen/Snowmass vacation just minutes from each in a luxury Woody Creek home overlooking the Roaring Fork River! This beautiful house received a million dollar plus addition and renovations that were completed in 2014. In short, this home is essentially brand new!
It is owned by a couple of families who created their dream vacation home - and now you can enjoy it as well. The house features stone, barn wood and wide plank floors throughout. There is a lovely great room with a fireplace that steps down towards the river from the cozy breakfast nook. The modern, newly renovated kitchen opens onto the deck for grilling and enjoying the sights and sounds of the river. We offer a picnic table and hot tub on the deck and a fire pit suitable for making S'mores in the side yard.
This house offers TWO luxurious master bedrooms/bathrooms with decks overlooking the river as well as a third bedroom with king bed and its own bathroom. Bedrooms four and five offer double beds and the sixth bedroom features two twin beds that are great for the kids. We have also added first-class amenities such as top of the line kitchen appliances, heated floors in the master baths, Comcast and Apple TV, Sonos sound system and a hard-piped humidification system to counter the drier mountain air.
There is a large fully finished basement playroom with TV/Cable, a ping pong table, shuffleboard, pop-a-shot, Foosball table, 2 sets of bunk beds, a full bathroom and even a "secret room" for the kids.
Our home is located in a great part of Woody Creek known as Little Texas which features a gorgeous grassed linear park on the riverbank suitable for family fun. And our section of the river - just steps away from our back door - offers some of the absolute best fly fishing in the Rockies.
We are only a few blocks from a favorite hang-out of locals and celebrities alike - the famous Woody Creek Tavern - as well as the Woody Creek Community Center (WC3) where you can enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner or catch a free shuttle to aspen or Snowmass. Speaking of town, we are less than 15 minutes from downtown Aspen or 10 minutes from the slopes of Snowmass. You can also reach Aspen via bike or on foot if you prefer to make use of the adjacent Rio Grande Trail along the riverfront. We even provide a number of various sized bikes for your convenience during the summer!
Come discover why Woody Creek is a local's favorite and enjoy our newly renovated retreat just minutes from the action of Aspen and Snowmass.

The house is amazing! Lots of room and plenty to do!
We were a group of nine adults and six children from one to nine. Had lots of room, with beds to spare. Great accommodations and all essentials supplied. The hot tub went out and they had a repair man there right away the next morning and he repaired it. Great location so many activities in the area to enjoy. Comfortable beds and loved the steam shower. The river was so enjoyable during the day and to listen to in the evening. Only down side was there was construction going on next door which of course the owners could not help, but a warning would have been nice. Most of Monday and Tuesday the big machines were so loud you had to close the windows to be able to speak to one another. Each day got a little better. Over all experience a five would love to return again.
We loved every minute of being here. The house was the perfect size for our group of 12. We will definitely return!
Wonderful and comfortable home.
Initially this stay started a little bad. The house had not been cleaned and I had to make some calls. However the problem was resolved quickly and responsibly. There was a miscommunication and I can understand that it happens. The rest of our stay was wonderful and everything I expected. The home is beautiful and everything works the way it should. The kids also loved the play room downstairs and spent a lot of time down there. Not only is the house wonderful but the backyard has a creek with a table. While we were out there trying to do some fishing a group of deer snuck up on us upstream. It was amazing seeing something like that in our backyard. This is definitely a home I would love to come back too.
House was pretty much exactly as described. Nice bedrooms, lots of space, good kitchen, very comfortable living areas, everything worked. Hot tub was well maintained and clean. Easy access to Snowmass and the airport. Aspen is a 15 minute drive. Would come back here in a heartbeat.
Beautiful and Confortable!!
The house is amazing!! Super confortable, espacious, kids friendly, close driving distance to all the mountains!! We had a wonderful time.
Wonderful Home - Great Location - Kid Paradise
House is very spacious with a wonderful layout. It's less than 4 miles from the Aspen Airport and very easy to find. You enter the main floor dining area with a table for 8 then walk into a kitchen with seating for 7 and another breakfast nook that could seat 6. The kitchen is well appointed complete with gas Viking stove, plenty of paper towels, dish and d/w soap, and trash bags. There is also a huge living room on this floor with large windows overlooking the Roaring Fork River. Only thing missing in my book was champagne glasses.
My kids favorite part of the home was the basement. They could have lived down there our entire stay: TV, DVD player, Foosball, ping pong, shuffle board, pop-a-shot, a full bath and two sets of twin bunk beds. There are also drawers full of books and toys for little ones to play with throughout the home.
The second floor has a seating area, 3 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms. The shared bath is the only bathroom with its own heater in the house so we made good use of it with the kids.
The third floor has a seating area dividing two master suites. The one we slept in had a steam shower which was awesome!!
All the beds were comfortable, the linens and towels were soft and clean. The bathrooms were very clean and well supplied with toilet paper and leftover shampoo products from previous guests. I would recommend you take your own hair dryer if you need one.
The hot tub on the back porch was great and steaming hot the entire stay. We used it every day (someone even came to clean it while we were there which always makes you feel good that it's being sanitized regularly). There is a nice grill and seating area that would be fun to use in the summer.
There are stairs leading down to the river and you have a large area to yourselves to enjoy. We loved having our "own" snow to play in.
The location is great. Two miles to the turn off to Snowmass and less than 15 minutes into downtown Aspen where the best restaurants and shopping in the area are. It is also only 15 minutes to Basalt for grocery shopping at City Market (which has a liquor store next door). Woody Creek Tavern is less than 1/2 mile down the road. It was good and convenient. We ate there once and got takeout once.
There is a local caretaker if you have issues (we didn't) and some men came by to salt the walk and driveway while we were there.
We will definitely return!!
