Visit Cody! The Buffalo Bill Historical Center is a one-of-a-kind complex with five museums in one building, providing an intimate look at the history of the west. Examine both the personal and public lives of W.F. 'Buffalo Bill' Cody and interpret his story in the context of the history and myth of the American West. The Whitney Gallery of Western Art presents an outstanding collection of masterworks of the American West. Original paintings, sculptures and prints trace artistic interpretations of the West from the early 19th century to today. The Plains Indian Museum features one of the country's leading and most excellent collections of Plains Indian art and artifacts. Explore the cultural histories, artistry and living traditions of Plains Indian peoples. The Cody Firearms Museum contains the world's most comprehensive assemblage of American arms, as well as European arms dating to the 16th century. Billing itself as “Rodeo Capital of the World,” Cody provides a unique opportunity to capture the excitement of a real rodeo in a dramatic western setting. Seasonally, the Cody Nite Rodeo is a fantastic way to become part of the west.

The drive from Cody to the East Entrance of Yellowstone Park has been called one of the most scenic 50 miles in the U.S. This stretch of scenic highway has long been famous for its skyline of rugged rock formations, wildlife and the winding North Fork of the Shoshone River.

The East Yellowstone Valley historic lodges and guest ranches offer full service accommodations as well as a host of exciting recreational activities.

The gateway to Yellowstone Park, the valley's easy access to Yellowstone, enables the visitor to enjoy perhaps the most magical season of all in Yellowstone. In winter, the park is transformed into a snowscape of other-world beauty. Steam billows from geyser basins to drift in eerie clouds through the frosty air, wreathing nearby trees with ice and turning even ordinary shrubs into ghostly sculptures.

Skis or snowmobiles are a great way to see the winter splendor of Yellowstone Park. The highway is kept open to the East Entrance of the park virtually all winter. Special snowcoach trips into the park are also available from the East Entrance for those wanting a little more comfort while still seeing the wondrous thermal features and varied animal life.

Why Wyoming Vacation Rental chose Wyoming

Our family friends vacation here and own the historic Hargrave's House a couple blocks away~

What makes this house unique

We have tried to incorporate all of the amenities of home here at our little house. My family and friends LOVE to cook, so there's a little of everything here to make a great meal.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Thank you for a great place! It was an ideal base for our Yellowstone and Grand Teton visits. Very comfortable and it had everything we needeed. Easy walks to all the food places in Cody. We had 10 great days. We'd recommend this place to others.

This was our second stay in Cody at this property. We felt comfortable and had everything we could possibly want or need. Property is well-maintained, clean and close to all activities. The town makes you feel at home and welcome.

Thanks for everything!!!

Back for our Third Year!

  • 5 of 5

My son Justin and I visited Cody and Yellowstone for the third time! We found new and interesting things to do, spending a night in Yellowstone and driving the Scenic Highway. Incredibly beautiful. The easiest way to explain what a treat it was is to quote my 17 year old son from Southern California who said "I can understand why people live here, it's so relaxing!". Enough said! Thank you for the use of your beautiful house, it has more amenities than ours! Lisa and Justin

Great Rental!

  • 5 of 5

Very comfortable, spacious, great location (within blocks of the museum and main street). This home had everything! The kitchen was better equipped than mine at home. We loved our visit and wish we could have stayed longer.

Friday, Cody had their annual Trick or Treat - what a kick! They shut down several blocks of Main Street and the children went from shop to shop for candy. Both sides of the street were packed with costumed children, adults and animals. A fun family oriented event. The weather was beautiful. A headless horseman rode his black horse up and down the street.
