This would be a great place to rent for the year or from Sept-June!
We live in the downstairs unit of this wonderful house.
Stephen Shook purchased this apartment in 2006
The Sutton Bay area has unique shops, movie theater, multiple winerys and quiet areas to walk and bicycle with nature all around.
This was our first visit to the Leelanau Penninsula. My husband and I chose this place partly because of its waterfront location. It was a great choice! The apartment was very comfortable and provided everything we needed. The owners were very welcoming and made sure all of our questions were answered. The location was perfect for us since it was much more relaxing than staying in the village of Suttons Bay. It was easy to get to everything we wanted to do while in the Leelanau area. We loved being able to ride our bikes from the property to the TART trail less than three miles away. We enjoyed swimming and using the kayaks. And, of course, we looked forward to the lovely sunsets each evening. Our week turned out to be abnormally warm, but the lake breezes helped to keep the apartment cool enough to be comfortable. We definitely recommend this place.
Really loved the area - Autumn colors in fulls dispay. Found plenty of things to do - almost overwhelmed by the possibilities. Enjoyed hikes at Pelizzaro Natural Area, Cathead Bay, and in and around the Sleeping Bear National Lakeshore Park. Pyramid Point Trail was very nice.
Property nice although heating in apartment not very even - very warm in bathroom, while cool in living area.
Had opportunity to meet property owners and enjoyed getting to know them. Built a fire in pit near beach and they joined us and shared their experiences in the area
We look forward to a follow up visit to area.
My husband and I SO enjoyed our stay here for our 10th wedding anniversary! The view is stunning, the unit is very comfortable and convenient and the owners extremely hospitable. We look forward to future stays!
Our family had a great time at this apartment for a long weekend. Comfortable and clean. Gorgeous views of Sutton's Bay. We enjoyed swimming and late night bonfire. The owners were friendly and easy to work with. The apartment is close to all types of Northern Michigan fun. We hiked, golfed and enjoyed the sunsets.
The apartment is conveniently situated on a quite area of the bay. The view is beautiful and the dock is perfect for a nice swim. And the owners are very nice and accommodating. They worked with us for a last minute vacation and were prompt on answering emails. Thank you!
This was the first time that I tried a rental with VRBO. It was a great experience.. The owners are very hospitable.
The cabin is accommodating and nicely furnished. The view is spectacular and it is great to sleep with the sound of the waves from the Bay. We plan on returning; hopefully soon.
