It is hard to describe how much you will feel at home & relax in Peachy House just like us.
The following are just some of the highlights for the lower suite:
-Unobstructed lakeviews from kitchen, dining room, living room, and bedroom. All together 1,000 sq ft open concept basement suite with 9 ft high ceiling is definitely going to wow you.
-2 set of french doors open to the 800 sq ft outdoor living space with lounge chairs & patio set. And of course the amazing lakeview is right in front of you.
-BBQ machine & fully equipped kitchen are there for you to cook your gourmet meals after shopping at the local farmer's market.
-As for me, I like to day dream lying on the L-shaped sofa and looking at the lake!
-My girls on the other hand like to grab us to play board games with them. I prefer to play Monopoly instead of Sorry!
We are a young family with 2 cute girls always looking for activities to do together away from our busy city lives.
Denise Su purchased this house in 2007
As a couple, we first visited Peachland with friends back in 1999. The good food & the friendly people make it unforgettable & attract us to keep visiting & eventually buying our dream vacation home!
You will find many difference things to do at different times of the year. We are still exploring new things every time we go :P Pls make sure to ask us what is there to do for your time of visit.
We really enjoyed a week of relaxation here at Peachy House. The suite is spacious and very clean, the bed is very comfortable as is the large sectional by the big picture window that overlooks the lake. The deck is huge and panoramic. We enjoyed making many a meal on BBQ while sipping local wines. It is a short drive to many other areas be it Kelowna, Summerland etc.. It is a good value and we look forward to returning again a seeing the gardens evolve.
Loved our 9 day stay at Peachy house in Sept. 2014. Everything we needed was there except our food. The weather was great, not 1 day of rain, and the sunrises on the deck and then morning coffee was a real treat after our rainy summer at home. The accomodations are comfortable and so much better than a hotel room. Hope to make a return visit to see the finished gardens.
Overall we really enjoyed our stay here and look forward to returning someday. The good things about the place are the giant deck with spectacular view anytime day and night. The price was good and place was very clean.
There were a few drawbacks we encountered -
1. wasp nest close to the front door and no flyswatter so we bought one and left it there, 2. according to the house rules we are supposed to look after taking our garbage with us when we leave ... a bit of an issue and inconvenience especially if you are flying .. everyone else in the area puts their garbage out every week for automatic pickup,
3. wi-fi did not work all the time. We called the owners and they gave us instructions on how to reset it, which we had to do at least twice.
4. the yard past the deck was very unkempt - this has apparently been upgraded now.
5. there is no one to call when there are issues i.e. bbq running out of propane ......
6. We also had to call owner upon arrival because the code they gave us for the front door didn't work
We honestly would stay here again especially since the yard has been upgraded. We had a wonderful time sitting on the deck and touring wine country. I guess the biggest issue is that the owners live several hours away and there should really be someone local that looks after issues, maintenance, garbage pickup etc.
This was our second year at this property. There are many reasons for this - owner is easy to deal with and very prompt, the suite is very clean, the views are spectacular, the deck is huge, furniture - both patio and inside is well maintained, the drive to downtown peachland is 3 minutes, air conditioning, laundry and there is privacy and serenity.
The suite works well for a family of four.
Of course there are somethings that can be improved - a better coffee pot, extra bed linens and pillows and some more dining ware and cutlery.
We love this place so mucH that we are booking for next year.
What a wonderful vacation rental in Peachland overlooking beautiful Lake Okanagan! We rented the lower level of the house for a week. The suite was spotlessly clean and well maintained. The huge deck is perfect for enjoying BBQ dinners and relaxing with a book. The view is just fabulous! The kitchen is well equipped so we were able to enjoy some lovely home cooked meals.
The owners have left many guides and brochures about Peachland and the surrounding areas which made it easier for us to plan our holiday according to our pace. John Schreiner's Wine Tour Guide is another excellent resource made available to guests.
Peachland is the perfect location to stay while visiting this part of the Okanagan Valley, since Kelowna, Summerland and Penticton are just short distances away. Even the amazing wineries in Naramata Bench are easily accessible from Peachland.
We will definitely be back and would highly recommend this wonderful property to other families wanting to visit Peachland.
We are very blessed to do a lot of traveling. We frequently plan a destination around the food scene which includes local farmers markets because we love to cook. Kelowna has an amazing farmers market and is just a short drive from Peachland. Many times, we return to a VRBO to cook our bounty from the market and are disappointed by the kitchen tools (pots, pans, bbq, and lack basic necessary utensils). Not this time! Peachy House had everything we needed to make wonderful meals including sharp knives-I know this sounds funny, but it makes a big difference to us! We enjoyed our meals on the deck overlooking the lake....STUNNING! The rental was neat, clean and very comfortable. We had an amazing, restorative time and will return.
