We enjoy spending time with friends and family at the lake. On the water, waterskiing & wake surfing are big on my list.
Dana Young purchased this lodge in 2004
Sunshine, lakefront, historical location, smooth water, great fishing!
The lodge has a rich history in the area, it is great to hear stories from old-timers in the area. We were able to contact the original owners and read through the guestbooks they kept over the years - dating back to the 1930s! We've invested heavily to update the place. Check out 'Lodge at Palmer Lake' on facebook for the 'before' pictures of our remodel efforts.
We had such a great time at the lodge. It makes the perfect home base for snowmobiling, We left the lodge in the AM and drove 3-4 miles to a wide spot off of totes coulee road and unloaded Sleds. From there it was a 5 mile trail ride up to the DEEP snow where we enjoyed playing in for most of the afternoon. Day 2 we rode from the same spot up and over the mountain and came out in Conconully. it was a blast look forward to coming up there again next year. Thanks
The lodge was beautiful and very spacious. It's was comfortable and has all the amenities that you would ever need for your stay. We definitely will be returning :-)
Our extended family of 13 rented this for a week in July and it was perfect. The view from the deck across the lake was better than anticipated (stunning, really). The lodge itself is well laid out: the deck was large enough for all of us to gather for appetizers, the eating area on the enclosed porch was plenty big enough for our dinners and the kitchen worked great for meal prep. After dark we moved to the big living room and played pool and visited or watched a movie downstairs. The bedrooms are especially well laid out for a large group, the bathrooms were all renovated to a high standard and are plentiful.
We were kept well entertained by things to do in the area. Some of us went to lakes to the south for early morning fishing, most of us spent a day visiting wineries in BC, some of us went on glorious hikes in the mountains or along the Similkameen River, the interesting ghost town of Molson isn't that far away and of course kayaking around the lake or playing in the water was fun.
We've rented large homes in the west before but this one was my favorite, by far.
Our group of 22 had a great time at Palmer Lake. It is a perfect property for families with children of all ages (our group had 10 kids 8 years old and under). We spent a lot of time in the lake, which was crystal clear and a nice temperature for swimming and other water activities. The lodge itself carries a lot of history and was well laid out with a large number of bedrooms. We didn't feel like we were cramped at all. We couldn't recommend it highly enough.
In today's world, it's hard to find a vacation lodge that is spacious, clean, well equipped, and can provide intertwining for all ages. That is exactly what the Lodge at Palmer Lake provides! 4 families, with kids ranging from 9 to 17, and not once were the kids or adults bored! So much to do, great kitchen for cooking, awesome dining area with a beautiful view of the lake.......I could go on and on! In total there were 12 of us, and at no time did you feel cramped for space. The beach was terrific, and everyone had fun with the kayaks! We are already planning our next trip!
Our family of 14 loved staying at The Lodge at Palmer Lake. The facility was clean, numerous rooms made for all the privacy anyone needed, and the common areas were great for family dinners and activities. The owners were gracious and accommodating with our schedules. Not many places where we can have the pleasure of no TV or cell service and a family enjoying the beauty and recreation of the area!
Ten of us men shared the lodge for three nights. Many commented it far exceeded expectations. It is a beautiful place and so comfortable. Everyone loved the great kitchen and the modern bathrooms Everyone had their private space. We can not say enough and look forward to our next visit.
