Thanks again for sharing your fantastic home.
MLK weekend with siblings, children and grandchildren was again perfect (like last year) and we found your home exceptional for our gathering.
Football playoffs, skiing and sledding were all great activities.
Cant beat the view and location!
We had a fantastic 4 days at this amazing home. The house is huge and very well equipped from linens to kitchen utensils, the location to Okemo and Killington is ideal- you really do feel like you’re staying on your own private mountain. The house is large and clean, there’s plenty of living space for a multi-family trip. The hot tub was clean and relaxing. There was very clear instructions and plenty of firewood, which was very nice, as we spent a good amount of time enjoying the grand fireplace. We are already planning our trip back, thanks Bob!!
unparalleled views, tons of room, spacious hot tub--we couldn't have asked for more. We will definitely be back!
We were at Bob's house at the end of September, with a large group of friends (8 adults and 7 kids). We had a great time. The house is very comfortable, clean, well-furnished cooking wise and with plenty of space for all of us. Bob's instructions were very clear, and it was easy to communicate with him. The area around is gorgeous (especially during this foliage period) , and the view from the terrasse is amazing. We would definitely recommend this house!
We spent 2 months enjoying this beautiful mountain home. From the booking process to the departure, Bob and his caretakers, Justus and Michelle did everything possible to make it a pleasant experience for us. The home was well maintained, the kitchen well equipped, the linens were abundant, and the views were spectacular. We particularly enjoyed the very large deck with it's Weber grill. It was interesting to enter the home on the 3rd floor, and to walk downstairs to the master bedroom. The rooms all contained the proper furniture, there are several TVs, and the decor is tasteful. We had no idea that we would have enjoyed this home as much as we did.
Getting to explore the locality, attending fall fairs, taste testing many local restaurants, attending concerts, etc. were highlights of this trip. The house is within a few miles of everything we expected to visit. An excellent rental choice.
We have had a spectacular time staying in this house! The location is a dream, in the middle of nature, surrounded by a dense forest and located on a hill with spectacular views. The house is spacious, architecturally very appealing, with modern appliances throughout and an ideal place for a larger group.
6-8 people can be comfortably housed with each person in a separate room. We spent a weekend primarily for outdoor activities, such as hiking, swimming and nature photography. The owner of the house was very responsive and everything was well taken care of.
We definitely will want to come back at another time. Highly recommended!
Located in Plymouth, VT in the 1200 acre Hawk Resort. Ten minutes from the town of Ludlow, 8 minutes from the Jackson Gore base area of Okemo Mountain, a top rated family ski area, and 15 minutes from the Killington Skyeship. Enjoy year round activities including hiking, biking, water activities at the nearby lakes, golf, tennis, and fall foliage. In addition, take advantage of the many amenities of the Hawk Resort including indoor/outdoor pools, cross country and snowshoe trails, and restaurant (Friday and Saturday only, hours vary)
There are several good restaurants in the area. For a more upscale experience you might want to try Harry's, near the intersection of rt. 100 and rt. 103, or the the Coleman Brook Tavern at Jackson Gore. In the town of Ludlow, DJs has a great burger and dinner specials, Tom's Loft near the entrance to the Okemo clock tower base area has good BBQ, wings, and burgers, and Sam's Steak House has a good salad bar, dinner specials, and comfort foods. There is also an Irish pub, Killarney's in Ludlow. Our favorite pizza in Ludlow is American Pie, located across from the Shaw's supermarket; Outback Pizza is also good. Going in the other direction, toward Killington, is the Back Behind Restaurant at the intersection of rt. 100 and rt. 4. They have a reasonably priced bar menu, good BBQ, and a nice dinner menu. The Long Trail Brewery is at the intersection of rt. 100a and rt. 4 in Bridgewater Corners (they close early - 7:00 p.m.). There are also great deli sandwiches in Bridgewater Corners at the Bridgewater Country Store; Singleton's Store in Cavendish also has a good variety of sandwiches, snacks, and grocery items.
