This apartment is nice and meets all your needs. We stayed here for 4 days with 2 adults and 2 little kids. The apartment is pretty small but was enough space for us. The kitchen had all the necessities, the couch expands into a bed and both beds were quite comfortable. The apartment was on the 3rd floor (US style) with pretty steep stairs. Our 3.5 yo had no problem walking up, but the luggage was a bit tough to bring up. We also had a stroller which we kept in the courtyard outside.
The reason I gave 4 starts and not 5 is 1) the person who greeted us was not very nice and a bit rude. 2) It said there was a washer/dryer, however there is only a washing machine. I did not know that and the day before our departure washed our clothes and then had to hand dry which was a bit of a pain. Luckily there was a heated rack in the bathroom which helped dry the clothes. On a positive note, (after spending an hour trying to figure out a drying feature on a French washing machine) I emailed Cecile and she was very responsive in letting me know the situation.
I highly recommend this apartment if you are looking for a quiet place to stay in a "non-touristy" section of Paris. The apartment is within walking distance to several Metro stops so it is very easy to get around town. Though small, my family of four felt very comfortable and there was more than enough room to suit our needs. We enjoyed the experience of living in a neighborhood - shopping at local markets, playing with children in the small playground across the street and picking up morning pastries at the Boulangerie on the block. It was very easy to coordinate with Cecile to make the arrangements and Dina, the caretaker, was very helpful. I would echo one other reviewer in saying that the washer/dryer combo never fully dried our clothes as we are used to in the US and they had to be hung out to dry for longer. We didn't wash much but for a longer stay I could see this as being a challenge if you didn't pack the right fabrics or weren't used to having to do this. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this apartment and would highly recommend it!
As all the reviewers have said, this is a very nice flat. The location is fabulous - near restaurants, cafes, Metro stops and the Rue Mouffetard market street. The flat is very well equipped, with all the dishes and appliances you'd want. We would have liked a fan - the apartment was hot, in early fall, but otherwise very comfortable and quiet. Cecile was very casual about the rental - did not require a written agreement or a large deposit, which was great, but it took longer and more requests to get all the information in advance than I was entirely comfortable with, though I did get it all (including a phone number for Dina, which we did need in order to find her when we arrived) well in time. Including manuals for most of the appliances is a great idea, and the wifi was strong and always worked.
I didn't much agree with Cecile's restaurant suggestions, but two excellent restaurants nearby are Au-Bon Coin and Founti Agadir. I'm sure there are others.
We would definitely stay here again if we return to Paris.
This flat was perfect for our one week stay during May 2014. Everything is just as pictured. Cecille was very business like and took care of all our inquiries very promptly. I have visited Paris many many times and would absolutely come back to this apartment. It's very close to buses, metro, restaurants, markets (the Mouff is perfect for food and fun) and all the wonderful things that make Paris so special.
My family of 4 stayed here for 5 nights in summer of 2014. It was truly a lovely "oasis" to come home to every night after exploring Paris all day. The Latin Quarter is a great neighborhood out of the way of the over touristy spots of Paris. Make sure you spend some time exploring this area as well. So much to see and do. The flat had a great little kitchen and a washing machine so it was a luxury to have somewhere to do laundry during our holiday :)
We stayed in this great flat for a few days in May. The location was perfect with the famous market just a short distance away. When you open the large door to enter the complex, it is like entering a little oasis in the middle of a big city. The flat had all we were looking for - we went to the local bakery each morning and brought back croissants to have with our coffee. Check-in was very easy. They are quite a few stairs up to the flat so some might find this too difficult but we were fine. The apartment is very well laid out and had all kitchen items that we wanted. It was so nice to stay in a different part of Paris from previous visits and I would highly recommend this area. The metro station is very close and there are so many excellent restaurants in the area. We would definitely stay here again.
