We have lived for many years on a converted US Army transport/tugboat in East Norwalk. We fell in love with this house when we saw it. We bought it, totally renovated it, and furnished it with the idea living in it in the winter and renting it for the summer when we move back onto the boat. Our 1st tenants took it for the summer and fall of 2012, then asked to take it for two additional 12-month terms and now have their own home in this area. Our 2nd tenants took it for 3 summer months in 2015. We will move back onto the boat in the spring; so the house is available this year May through October.

If you are looking for a fully furnished, cozy place, on the water, in a terrific neighborhood, within a 1 hour commute of NYC, you have found it!
Convenient to everything - train, shops, restaurants, entertainment. Great, friendly, safe neighborhood. Its own dock, views of the water from just about every room, access to private beach fifty yards from the front door. Relaxing front porch overlooking the bay. Fenced in back yard. Completely renovated in 2012. New central heat and air. Fully furnished.
The most incredibly special place! We rented for the summer 2012 and left 2.5 years later. I think that says it all.
The house is so super cosy but breathtakingly breezy in the summer. There are water views from every room and I woke every morning to the spectacular birds and tidal changes that the Sound offers and ended the day sitting on the porch watching the sunsetting over norwalk harbour, it was more than magical and I miss it every day.
The house has everything and more that you will need; the landlords are now great friends as are all the neighbours. Summer beach days involve kayaking or paddle boarding or maybe just lazing on the dock with a book and in the evenings just grab your cocktail and head to the beach to catch up or just enjoy the view and relax on the porch.
South Norwalk and Westport are close by and have fabulous restaurants and shops if you can bare to leave the house.
I could not recommend this property more and multiple friends and family members who visited over our time would all agree. This is somewhere truly special and what memories are really made of.
The home is located on the water in the quaint Marvin Beach Association neighborhood with its own dock and access to the association's private beach yards away.
