Why Maggie Hughes chose
Fell in love with Trecor before we saw it, driving up the lane. Longest conversion but worth it in the end.

Excellent accommodation in beautiful surroundings
Spacious and extremely well equipped property close to beautiful beaches and other tourist attractions. Couldn't rate it highly enough. The surroundings were lovely and very peaceful. The games room with table tennis table and large collection of toys and games were a hit with all the family. The welcome pack was the best we've ever had anywhere - the two bottles of Trecor Barn apple juice was especially good. The fresh flowers were a nice touch too. All in all an excellent property which we would recommend to anyone wanting a large family holiday in a great setting.
Lovely spacious house!
Beautiful house with so much space. Peaceful location. Walk to the beach along country lanes with beautiful views. Really enjoyed staying here! Thank you
So much space in the rooms and outside too.
The locality is very relaxing, feels remote, but still only a short 15mins walk to pub and shop.
Perfect Family Break
Just spent a very pleasurable weekend at Trecor Barn - so welcoming and clean. Our every need was catered for and we would definitely recommend the accommodation to all our friends who want to enjoy South Wales xx
Thank you, glad you enjoyed your visit :)
Amazing barn convertion, made into a cosy, comfortable, spacious home
Loved our weekend at this beautiful holiday home, just a pity it was only for two nights to celebrate our sons birthday.
Should have checked if stair gates were provided as my granddaughter 22 months old but we improvised using sofas as barriers, etc. Well equipped throughout property, especially kitchen. Ordered an Indian takeaway for Friday from Taj Mahal in Ferryside, really good and excellent service. Enjoyed a bracing walk on Ferryside beach on Saturday and a trip to nearby Kidwelly Castle.
Thank you, glad you enjoyed your time at the barns. :)
Beautiful property, perfect for large groups with ample space for all
We had a great time staying in Ferryside and even the "somewhat inclement" weather didn't dampen our spirits. We also received a phone call from the gentleman who looks after the property to check everything was ok, and to warn us about the amber weather warning and storm on the way; a lovely touch. The property was easily large enough for our group of ten adults and it was lovely to be able to all be in the kitchen cooking together without falling over each other. The kitchen had everything we needed and the large table meant we could sit and eat together in comfort. Having several seating areas also meant that we could do our own thing when we wanted to, without being disturbed or disturbing others. I'd definitely recommend staying here
Thank you for your review, glad you have a good visit. :)
Carmarthenshire has beautiful rolling countryside and pure white sandy beaches. In the area are the National Botanic Gardens, Aberglasney, Pembrey Country Park, Pendine Beach, the race track at Pembrey. Pembrokeshire has many holiday attractions including Folly Farm - small animal farm and amazing play park and small zoo, the Chocolate Factory, Oakwood - theme park, Heatherton - outdoor activities. West Wales and the Gower (40 minutes away) are famous for their surfing beaches, and in parts of the West coast you can still find a beach to yourself, even in the high season.
Ferryside is a small village right on the edge of the Towy estuary, it has one pub a fantastic cafe, village shop, paper shop and post office. The Three Rivers Spa Hotel includes indoor pool, gym, steam and sauna room. It also has a traditional skittle alley and pool table. It has a tidal beach, great for driftwood collecting, cricket, football and children's rock clambering.
