About Tony Anderson
We are originally from North Carolina and for the past seventeen years have enjoyed living and raising our children in North Central Florida. Traveling to the North Carolina mountains and especially the Asheville area has always been an enjoyable and adventuresome experience. The beauty, serenity, and peacefulness of the area is the alluring factor. There just seems to always be something new and interesting to see and experience because of the seasonal changes in the climate. Chefs from all over the world have opened resturants in Asheville and have produced an extraordinary variety of excellent dining options for us to enjoy as well. We have two dogs (Husky and American Eskimo) that enjoy our trips to the mountains as well to hike and enjoy the wonderful mountain weather. We like calling Carolina home and so might you. Great place to stay! Loved the hot tub and fire pit. Beds are very comfortable. Close to everything.
We had a lovely weekend in Asheville. The house is in a great location. 15 min from Biltmore. Very close to the nature conservatory, blue ridge parkway and the folk art center. The house was just right for our needs. We enjoyed cooking in the nice kitchen. We would definitely recommend.
Foliage in Asheville
This is an accurate description of the rental.
The front door enters into a small living room with dark brown weathered furniture. All beddings and piles of decorative big and small pillows on every bed is also dark and musty. The first night we slept in the room with the king bed after removing all beddings, washed sheets, pillow cases and two light color blankets we found in the closet. The king bed is dipping like a hammock and next day we moved to the small front room with the adjacent bathroom. We removed everything, washed the brown sheets that were on the bed and used the clean blankets. This bed was fairly comfortable. The 3rd bedroom is crowded with a queen and bunk beds.
We ran the dishwasher and washing machine before leaving and left notes for the cleaning service. I took pictures of some very soiled areas in case of a doubt. I will give it a three Star for location, the well lit and fairly clean bathrooms, good TV and space for two people.
Cleanliness is in the eyes of the beholder.
I am sorry the rental was not up to you’re expectations. We would have appreciated a phone call while you were here if there was a problem as we live local and would have attempted to fix it. The cabin is 1200 sq feet as advertised, so it is not large. The living room furniture is high end rustic the same the Grove Park Inn has. The king bed has a memory foam topper which makes it a little soft and can be removed. I have spoken to our cleaners who usually do an excellent job as evidenced by all our 5 star reviews, including ones after you’re stay. Again I am sorry things were not up to you’re standards and we truly appreciate the feedback. I hope you will consider us again in the future. Sincerely Rose and Tony Anderson
Comfy and cozy home away from home!
We visited Asheville for a family wedding, and we stayed for 2 nights in this wonderful home! It had everything we needed for a relaxing place to stay - comfortable beds, a large wrap around deck with a hot tub and gas grill, a well-equipped kitchen, and lots of room inside. The location was perfect for us, too!
Great cozy location!
This property is in a great location-Close to Asheville, a wonderful grocery store and the wedding venue of Hidden River. Very comfy living room furniture and kitchen was well stocked. I appreciated all the visitor/tourist type info they had as well. I loved that not only was the yard fenced but the side deck/porch was fenced as well - great for keeping dogs and kids close.
Cozy Bear Cottage
Great time and a wonderful property. Wished we could have stayed longer. The owner, Tony , was very quick to respond to us when the Smoke Detector battery went out and kept us updated on some repairs that had to be done. We would recommend this property to anyone.
Close to major highways (I-40, I-240, & I-26), however feels rual in a beautiful mountain setting, does not require long difficult driving and is on a private paved road. Close to grocery stores and can drive to downtown Asheville in ten minutes and the town of Black Mountain in fifteen minutes. There are lots of wonderful local food resturants and shopping.in both towns. Close to area hiking and short drive away is Wolf Laurel ski resort, white water rafting and zip lining at Navitat Canopy Adventures.
