I am a Finance Professional that spends as much of my free time as possible in my nearby beach house. I just love this location and the Cape May area!
Christine Knight purchased this house in 2012
My family has been vacationing in the Cape May area for over 20 years. We have owned a house in this area since 2002. I believe people with pets need more options for traveling with their beloved family members, so I specifically purchased this property to be a pet friendly rental. This location is away from the hustle and bustle of the town, yet is still a close enough drive to be on the beach or shopping in Cape May or dining at an amazing restaurant within minutes.
We just love walking on the bay with our dog and children. I have seen some of the most beautiful sunsets from this beach. It's also a great spot to just sit and relax and enjoy nature! A bike ride to the Cape May Lewes Ferry is great way to start the day. There is mini golf and ice cream just at the top of the street - close enough to walk.
Perfect house! Nice backyard for pets, short walk to the bay, and amazing sunsets! Thank you!
This property is well maintained, CLEAN,and conveniently close to the beach. Everything you could need is available here. Tastefully furnished and plenty of linens, extra pillows, and dishes. All the comforts of home. And even a nice grassy fenced yard for my furry four legged child.
My husband and I stayed in this house for two nights with our two year old and our dog. It is a perfect size/layout for keeping an eye on kids while getting things done (i.e. cooking, laundry). Everything inside is great quality-- even the sheets were very comfortable. The fenced yard is perfect for playing outside with a pup, and the house is literally one block from the beach. Don't miss the gorgeous sunsets! Christine was very, very helpful, understanding, and accommodating. We would absolutely rent this place again.
Clean and cozy pet friendly property. Usually pet friendly accommodations are lacking. We always bring our own cleaning supplies to give the house a cleaning upon arrival. The cleaning was so good that we had nothing to clean. The house is simple and comfortable. Kitchen was easy to cook in. It's situated near everything but far enough that it is quiet and not a busy block. The pet friendly beach at the end of the block was wonderful to have. I would recommend bringing a pillow topper for the larger beds, if you're a fussy sleeper. I always bring earplugs to sleep, and like most homes this one makes noise as well... boilers and such. Otherwise a very comfortable stay. The owner is a breeze to work with and was very accommodating with our requests. Thanks Christine!
We rented the house for a week while visiting family. The property was a described, close to the bay beach. Nicely remodeled, not fancy or high end, but was certainly a nice value for the price. Christine was easy to work with, we had a cleaning issue when we arrived, but it was resolved quickly and satisfactorily. The fenced back yard was perfect for our little dog. He's never had a yard before and he loved it!
The property listing was just as described. Super clean and extremely well maintained. Christine was easy to reach if we had any questions or concerns.
We arrived in September, with our Lab/Border Collie and hoped to be able to spend time on beaches and trails, fun for the dog & great adventures for us, who loves birding. Being an avid "Craniac" (A volunteer for http://operationmigration.org/cranecam.asp) once I saw the the 2 Crane statues in the property listing, I knew right away this home rental was for me!
We watched the sunset from the beach down the road (and watched dolphins jumping as the sun went down!) and also at Sunset Beach where they have a Flag Lowering Ceremony every night - it was amazing! Beautiful photos from both nights!
We saw Swans, Great Egrets, Geese, Ducks, Hawks & Falcons at Cape May Point State Park, a glorious Kingfisher while walking on some awesome trails just down the road (The parks name escapes me), more Hawks at Higbee Beach & I captured some fantastic photos of Egrets, Great Egrets & Great Blue Herons from the Jarvis Sound, and even bought some delicious wine from the Cape May Winery. We enjoyed some seafood from the Seafood restaurant at the end of the road, having our dog, we did most cooking at home or take out.
I would definitely recommend this property to anyone!
If there was anything negative about the stay, it would be that there was no working light for the entire backyard, so watching where my dog "went" after dark was a little impeding, and it would also have been nice to have a screen door for the backyard to keep the bugs out & enjoy the bay breezes.
We would definitely stay here again in the future!
