Perfect for extended business travel or family in transition.
About Dave Estill
Barb and I spent 30 years in the Air Force. Since retirement we have been involved in real estate and enjoy sharing our vacation home with others. We take great pride in the condition of our home and attention to detail to make your stay as pleasant as possible. Our hobby is travel and we have stayed in every type of B and B, hotel and guesthouse imaginable. We put those experiences into making your stay as trouble-free and enjoyable as we can make it.
Why Dave Estill chose Fredericksburg
Just bring your clothes and your computer. We provide the rest. If you want a quiet, comfortable safe place to stay either for work, vacation or family transition then you will love our home. Several of our transition families relocating to the area asked us if we were willing to sell! We cannot think of greater compliment.

This lovely home is in a friendly and nicely located neighborhood. It is easy to get to all areas of Fredericksburg from this quiet location while not having to live in the center of what is a sprawling and busy city.
The photos accurately depict this well-cared-for property but don't highlight the special attention to details. Lap blankets near the TV, nice soap/lotion in the bath, and kitchen spices are just a few of the details that made me smile. This is a home with a gracious presence - much like the owners and property manager themselves. You are welcomed and supported as a visitor and caretaker of the property. The beds are comfy, the laundry is handy, and the TV is awesome!! We highly recommend this property for a stay in the Fredericksburg area and wouldn't opt for any other option first if planning an extended stay .
Beautiful Spacious Home
We loved our stay at this house. It was so beautiful, clean and spacious. The owners are very attentive to details and if there was anything we needed they made sure that we were taken care of in a very timely manner. It was truly a treat to stay here for a month!!
We loved hosting you! We'd love to have you come back anytime!
An Amazing Home in the Midst of History
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this home. One of the purposes for journeying to Virginia was so that I might work on crafting sermons for a fall preaching series and to rewrite some teaching curriculum. The office/den within this home was just tremendous. I could write and look out the window to trees, flowers, and a variety of birds and animal life.
There was just a gracious sense as one entered into the house. The furnishings conveyed that gracious feel. Almost immediately we felt at home. The kitchen was well equipped and used daily and we appreciated having a grocery store within just a mile of the home. The rooms were spacious and the furniture was very comfortable - so easy to relax!
We enjoyed walks around the quiet neighborhood and people were so friendly. Working with Dave and Barb was a pleasure.
I am an amateur Civil War buff and, of course, the location was just right in the midst of some of the greatest conflicts of that war. Plus there was the added Revolutionary period as well. Daily trips were easily accessible from this home.
We would definitely recommend this home and would readily consider it the next time we travel to that part of Virginia.
Thank you for your kind words! It was our privilege to have you in our home! If you ever come this way again, we hope you will consider staying with us.
PS A very late response but I'm finally figuring out the details of this website!
Perfect Location /A Pleasure to come Home
We just had the most wonderful stay at this very upscale property In the Fox Point neighborhood about 5 miles south of the historic center of Fredericksburg and 6 miles North from the Lake Anna turn off. As you can see from the pictures, it is a significant understatement that this is 'better than a suite hotel'. At first we weren't sure about the location as it is listed as Spotsylvannia and we wanted Fredericksburg. Location was important to us as we would be in the city or visiting family just south of there near the lakes daily. It turns out this was perfect easy access to everything we needed ... shopping, food, Interstate 95, Highway 1 .... easy trip to The University of Mary Washington too.
We met Dave and Barb upon our arrival and were instantly into an easy conversation with them as they gave us the house details ..... which are very easy as everything is new! They also use this house for visits to their family in the area .... so the house is a home with conveniences and a kitchen that has just what you would need. I didn't know if the ' no shoes in the house' thing was going to be a nuisance ... but it's easy with slippers or flip flops at the door ... just a different habit. Speaking of clean .... this house is immaculate ... a pleasure to stay at!
We were out and about for the large part of everyday, but enjoyed a relaxing breakfast start and a quiet end of the day dinner or dessert wind down each day. The back yard is like owning a piece of your own forest ... from lawn to manicured vegetation to trees.
Looking back, this is a bit verbose, but we did love it and will undoubtedly stay again.
Thanks Dave & Barb for being willing to share your beautiful home. (Stayed the 1st part of April). Marcia and Vern
