I stayed here with my wife and two other couples, and we had such an amazing time. If you want to get away from the busy tourist attractions and have a relaxing time, then this is the place to go. A car is handy as you can drive to tourist spots but not vital, as there is buses that take you to most places.
The apartments were really nice, and being able to cook your own food was a bonus (although being walking distance to great restaurants was handy!). The views from the top of the apartment are breath-taking, and was a great place to spend my 30th!
Lovely apartment and pool. Peaceful with beautiful views over the mountains and sea. We booked some boat excursions which were good ,they picked you up nearby. Not in sorrento though, so you will need a car to get around. Driving in the area not too bad, but not for the faint hearted! Overall a great stay.
These apartments are superb well equipped, comfortable beds and accurately described, The views from the top superb, the helpfulness of the owner great. You probably need a car, but the local town is within easy walking distance (10 mins) and I believe the public transport good. If you rent a car it must be a small one - the road to the apartments is very narrow! Lots of local restaurants mostly good and great take put pizza place. There is even a Michelin starred restuarant within wlaking distance! Easy access to the big sites - Pompeii, Vesuvius etc. Great local walks on the peninsula - strong shoes a must, walking boots better! It is very hilly and I found a walking pole useful. The local mozarella was delicious. Too cold in October for swimming but the pool looked great.
The family had a great stay. Calm, private, familiar, good standard, walking distance(5 minutes) to locally made mozzarella, parma ham and local fruit and vegetables. (But don´t forget to bring wine and beer glasses with you)
SantAgata sui Due Golfi is located, as the name itself suggests, between Naples and Salernos gulf on the top of Sorrento hills and offers a beautiful view as well as nice excursions for trekking and riding lovers such as: Baia di Ieranto, Punta della Campanella with the ruins of Atena's temple, San Costanzo mountain and Crapollas fiord. SantAgata is the ideal place also for who loves the sea: by bus in 10 minutes you can reach Marina del Cantone, crowded by a lot of VIPs in summertime thanks its good restaurants, too. By the way, although a small town, in Sant'Agata there are three very important restaurants even mentioned on the celebrated Michelin guide book. La Taverna del Capitano, I Quattro Passi and Don Alfonso 1870 are famous all over the world and there, it is possible to eat typical sea food dishes, local cheese and good wine.
