I'm a photographer. I manage this apartment, where I live with my family from more than 10 years. Our claim is: HOME SWEET HOME. All our guests find here a new family where they share a real Italian experience.
Vito Fusco purchased this villa in 2000
I think that Positano is very hard to explain.
When people arrive here, they often did't really know what this place represent. John Steinbeck used a very short sentece to explain Positano: 'Positano bites deep'.
In the surrounding area some of the most important archeological site, places , monument and towns (Amalfi, Ravello, Pompei, Capri). A place full of myth, history and more: good food, charming people. So: WHY NOT? See you here!
There is a wondergul outdoorspace with grill and a Pizza oven where the guest can enjoy a wonderful patyes
Vito, the owner son's is a photographer. He organize personalized Photo Walking Tours.
Our group of 9 (4 adults + 5 teenage/college children) rented both units. While the photos on the website are great- it just cannot capture the true beauty of the experience. Both units were very clean, well-equipped, spacious and air conditioned
For us, it was the exterior and the views that were the best part. The property consists of multiple levels. The upper (smaller) unit had a massive deck, complete with seating and tables. Great for views of the ocean during the day and star watching at night. The larger (lower) property had a wrap-around deck – complete with a grapevine over the exterior table and built in benches. Almost all rooms in the larger unit opened on to this deck enabling breath-taking views of the ocean and hills. The exterior of the property had two additional outside levels. The first, a pool area with a number of beach chairs as well as a shaded area complete with table and seats. The second was an additional exterior table, BBQ, pizza oven with an adjoining billiard/pool table room.
The owners are Maria and her sons, Franco and Vito. They live on the bottom level of the property. They were very friendly, helpful with recommendations, and accommodating. They were readily available for any questions. Of course, their family dog (a yellow Labrador named Ava) was also a huge hit with our group of dog lovers.
The location of the property is at the beginning of the town. A restaurant is a 15 minute walk; the grocery store is 20 minute walk. Both deliver to the property. The main beach is a 40 minute walk. While walking to/from the town was a great way to see Positano, this may not be a great location for those with mobility issues. That being said, there are stairs throughout Positano, so the town, in general, may not be great for people with mobility issues.
Overall, this is an incredible property. We have rented several villas/properties in Italy and this is hands down the best. We highly recommend the property and would highly recommend it to others.
We spent a fantastic 2-week holiday here to celebrate my brother's 50th birthday. The 2 apartments worked really well for our group of 4 adults and 5 teenagers. The views from the balconies and pool are mesmerizing whatever the weather, the rooms are air-conditioned with comfortable beds, the pool is clean with a lovely shady platform where you can escape from the heat of the afternoon, the gardens are pretty and interesting, and the pool table provided a lot of fun. Vito and his family were kind, extremely helpful and laid-back.
Positano is one of the few places we love so much that we have returned several times. It's a stunningly pretty town in a region packed with natural beauty and cultural riches, plus welcoming people, and great local food and drink. There is so much to do: we like to hire a boat for half a day to explore the coast, or get dropped off by boat on an otherwise inaccessible beach; there are lovely walks in the hills, and lots of fabulous day trips to choose from, for example to Capri, Pompeii, Herculaneum, Vesuvius, Solfatara, etc.
Our favourite local restaurants this time were C'era une volta, a short walk away from the villa, and Ristorante da Costantino (free shuttle service), both very friendly, family-run places with great food at reasonable prices.
Vito and family are simply wonderful hosts. Upon our arrival, we were invited to partake in Vito's birthday party, with his family and friends, and enjoy Vito's home made pizzas! Just one more example of the warmth of Italy and its people that we experienced many times on our once in a lifetime journey! This villa is AMAZING!! Located just outside the edge of town, high upon the cliffs, the views are to die for. The property itself is beautiful, as mama and auntie spend time everyday tending the many plants and flowers! The pool is clean and well appreciated on warm days. We were a party of ten; two couples with three children each, ranging in age from 15 to 22. Vito and his mom made sure the rooms were set up so that we were all comfortable. The villa was clean and comfortable with everything we needed! I personally loved walking into town each day, taking the many steps and narrow, curving, interesting pathways that always led to a beautiful sight. My legs never looked better, which was good when we hit the beach in our suits! (I highly recommend the smaller beach and its restaurant) There are plenty of parking garages and cabs, if you prefer not to walk. Our kids wanted to see Pompeii, which was an easy car ride from the Villa with our GPS. Our entire group went to Capri via private boat from Positano, which was fabulous. Vito has all kinds of "insider" information, which only those who live in Positano can advise and he was happy to do so. We drove our rented vans to the villa with no safety issues. The kids did have trouble getting WI-FI, but I was happy for it, as they spent more time talking to each other and to be honest, we were on the go most of the time anyway. My only complaint is that we didn't get to spend more time here. Positano is positively breathtaking and Villa Punto Del Sole Positano was a wonderful "home" in which to enjoy it! I hope to return, someday. Thank you, Vito!! (sorry for the delay in my review!)
This villa is fantastic. We had a lovely family holiday staying here as the facilities were excellent and the view magnificent. Evenings sat on the balcony watching the sunset over the bay were magical. The owner was very helpful and the villa was clean and well set up. We would return again.
We were a group of 8 Australians who were holidaying in Positano for the first time. We booked the villa after reading the previous reviews. The villa was simply superb and fulfilled our expectations. It was spacious (able to accommodate the 8 of us easily), clean, well maintained and the views are simply out of this world. The bathroom arrangement is great as with 6 people in the middle part, having 2 complete bathrooms worked well and the upstairs couple have their own bathroom and eating area. The description of the villa is accurate and you need not worry in any way that it will not meet your needs. Vito was very helpful, friendly and had plenty of information to share with us and we took up some of his advice. His brother was great in helping us with transport into and out of Positano as we used taxis sometimes. However, on most occasions we simply walked into town. The walk is not too long and the views are magnificent especially coming into Positano. You must eat at C'era una Volta which is a trattoria on the road into town. It is simply the best food we had on our entire trip to Italy and Switzerland. The reviews on Tripadvisor are correct. We have stayed in a number of villas booked through VRBO in Italy, France, Spain, Greece and Turkey. This one is by far the best that we have ever stayed in and if we are ever in the area again, we will stay here without hesitation. I simply can not speak more highly of the villa and would recommend it to anybody heading to the Positano area.
Our stay in Positano with my family of four at Vito's place was fantastic! The location is beautiful with a view from several of the rooms to the Mediterranean. The poll was a nice place to cool off after the warm days. Vito and family were very hospitable and helpful. I felt they went the extra mile every time we had a question or needed something. It is clear that they very much enjoy having guests at their place.
During our stay we enjoyed many attractions in the area, including several of the nearby cities, boating, incredible food and shopping. I hope I get to stay there again soon. Thank you Vito!!
