About Nick Einbender
My name is Nick and I'm a Dentist in the Air Force. I grew up in a small town outside of Seattle called Enumclaw. I went to college at BYU and subsequently dental school in Louisville Kentucky. Since working for the military I've lived in Las Vegas Nevada, South Korea, Germany, Hawaii and now Washington DC. Aside from dentistry I love photography and being outside enjoying nature. You can most often find me on some outdoor adventure, taking pictures (whether it's a gorgeous sunset or some ridiculous dessert), working out to maintain my fitness, or spending time with friends and family. And speaking of dessert I have quite an intense sweet tooth. I know, a dentist with a sweet tooth, I've heard all the jokes you can imagine in this scenario but it's true! I married my husband Spencer in July 2015 and we bought and renovated this home when I was transferred to Washington DC with the Air Force. Spencer has a background in interior design/visual merchandising and has worked to design a beautiful apartment for you to enjoy in our amazing Historic Home in Capitol Hill!

Perfect capital hill stay
We really enjoyed our 3 day stay in this old quaint neighborhood. It was a perfect location to all the DC places we wanted to visit. We walked the Hill all over and felt totally safe. It’s a neighborhood feel and after figuring out where the little stores and eateries were, it was fun. Clean and all the basics offered in the apartment. Floors a little soft in spots, but that’s the charm. Friendly owners and a great simple check in process. Thanks for a nice cozy place to call home while in town. I would highly recommend this apt if you like old charm.
Live like a Washingtonian
Eastern Market is such a safe, nice area of town. Nick and Spencer are incredibly kind and have thought through every detail of the guest experience. One of the best features of this property is the outdoor patio area. Every night, you can enjoy a spacious patio under soft lights.
Also, they have an amazing squirrel named Notch. This squirrel will comfortably approach you and eat food directly from your hand!
The location of the property is very close to a Trader Joe’s, CVS, and Metro stop.
On Saturdays, the Eastern Market blocks off the street for vendors to sell fruit, art, clothing, jewelry, specialty foods, and other goods. This is One of the best experiences.
Highly recommend NOT renting a vehicle, but rather using the metro to get everywhere. You will be within a 10 min metro ride to every possible site in DC.
Restaurants nearby worth visiting: Hank’s Oyster Bar (Seafood), Aqua Al 2 (Italian), Ted’s Bulletin (breakfast food all day).
Nick and Spencer will treat you extremely well. We will definitely be back!
A Great Place in a Great Neighborhood
This was a lovely place to stay in a great location in Capitol Hill. Very friendly, helpful property owners, a lovely apartment, and a great front patio where you can hang out and enjoy the neighborhood. The only downside is that the wifi is a bit spotty. When it works it's fine, but it tends to go out periodically.
Perfect location, clean, and comfortable
Could not beat the location, communication with Nick, comfort and cost. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.
Lovely compact first floor sleeps 4 cosily. Minimal kitchen but the front garden is heavenly, complete with a happy squirrel family. Parks and east market nearby, beautiful friendly neighborhood with gorgeous little front gardens makes it a sweet place to walk and close to the capitol and mall
My teenage daughters and I enjoyed our recent stay in DC! We love the Eastern Market area and chose this place for its proximity to Eastern Market/Metro. It’s a great area and we always felt safe walking everywhere.
We loved our stay at Nick’s- it felt like staying with family. (the kind you want to stay with, that is) Any need we had was immediately met and communication was excellent. This was probably the cleanest rental we’ve stayed in- big plus for us. I would definitely stay here again.
Trader Joes just opened up 2 blocks from the house!
