Julie and her husband Dan lived west of Boston Massachusetts in the U.S.A until 2015, when they decided to make paradise their home in Grand Cayman. They are avid scuba divers and love the Caribbean, especially Grand Cayman. Dan manages his own project management consulting firm. Julie, a personal trainer (and property manager), enjoys keeping people healthy, motivated and fit. They enjoy hiking with their two Boxers, Roxy and Rocko, spending time outdoors and being with family including sons, Frank & Michael.

This, open and light filled condominium is located at one of the most coveted and private areas of the island. Boggy Sand Road is lined with beautiful mansions on the beach and quaint, 100 year old Caymanian cottages.

What makes this condo unique

Quiet, beautiful, landscaped gardens and stunning pool are some of the lovely features of this property. Across the street is one of the most secluded and beautiful beaches on the island. The water is pristine and snorkeling and diving incredible. You can kayak to the USS Kittewake and snorkel or dive one of the islands best wrecks. The sunsets are incredible!

Paradise!

We had the best time last week! This was our second trip to Grand Cayman and our first time staying somewhere besides a resort. WILL NEVER STAY AT A RESORT AGAIN! We had everything we needed right here. Condo was very clean and equipped with MORE than we needed. The area was so quiet and walk to the beach was so easy. It was like we had our own private beach. Hope to visit and stay at Windsong again SOON!

Great rental

Great place and a really good value. Julie is great to work with and very professional. The unit is really well equipped with everything you need (plenty of towels, coolers, snorkeling gear, and cookware). The location couldn't be better. Soggy Bogg is a quiet deadend road with no traffic, and the beach there is awesome. We have never felt more comfortable at a beach. Highly recommend staying here.

Beautiful Condo, excellent location! Cant say enough good things!

Our elderly father (age 87) took our family on his bucket list trip to the Cayman's for 10 days. We wanted to make sure that his experience was everything all of us were hoping for. Due to Dad's many physical limitations we opted for a condo vs. a resort. The condo was extremely clean, beautifully decorated with an "island flare" and very spacious. The bathrooms were a nice size and nicely tiled. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything you would need to prepare your own meals; and for a family to be very comfortable for 10 days...much like home. The gardens surrounding the condo were beautiful and well-kept with amazing flora and fauna. The very short 2 minute walk to the beautiful 7 miles beach left us able to leave our dad in the condo for a few hours to enjoy snorkeling and swimming. Boggy Sand road is on 7 mile beach and is a lovely mixture of cottages-type homes on the left side of the road to multi-million dollar homes facing beach front. Because the location is away from the resorts, it afforded us to be able to have the beach almost to ourselves. The condo beach access is awesome as you can snorkel right out from shore. Also, the condo is about a 5 or so minute drive from the Turtle farm, Dolphin Discovery and other areas of interest; not including several highly recommended restaurants, including Heritage Kitchen. Lastly, working with Julie was amazing. We planned the trip about 8 months in advance and Julie answered our questions as they came up almost immediately upon writing them. She assisted us with taxi arrangements for family members and made recommendations for sightseeing tours (which were "spot on") and left us with a phone to use for local calls. Everything about this condo and working with Julie was amazing. Yes, there is some construction going on out by the pool however, you cannot hear anything from inside the condo or the front patio areas and this didnt keep us from using the pool. Despite the construction, the entire experience of working with Julie and using this beautiful condo cannot make us give it any less than the 5 stars it deserves. We hope to return to the Cayman's soon and will certainly stay with Julie again. Bravo!!!!

VRBO is the way to go

The property was exactly as the pictures showed which is a very nice, comfortable second floor unit. The property is one row off of the beach with a private access path to the beach, making for an easy one minute walk. The beach is beautiful and great for walking and most of the time we had the beach to ourselves. The house is located on a dead end road which limits the traffic except that there is currently a home being built two houses down. There is also a new three story multi unit development being built right behind the property and adjacent to the pool. Because of this we did not use the pool but we also prefer the beach. However, we were not disturbed by any noise from the construction. The location is perfect as it is in walking distance of Foster’s Supermarket, AlFresco’s Restaurant, Heritage Kitchen and a diner with reasonable prices and great service. The property provided soaps, towels, toilet paper, paper towels, chairs and umbrellas. But it was a little light on dishes, cups, and flatware. Being a party of six, this caused the need to wash dishes or run the dishwasher almost after each meal. A double set of dishes would allow us to “load” up the dishwasher and to do less loads. Also, there wasn’t any salt and pepper in the unit. As many of us are somewhat light sleepers, the crowing rooster gets to be an issue at 4-7:00 in the morning. Overall, an enjoyable stay in a beautifully furnished unit. A recommendation would be to rent a car so that you can travel the island and go to various restaurants during your stay.

Boggy Sand Beach & Seven Mile Beach
Car: recommended

Windsong is less than 100 feet from the water. Boggy Sand Beach is at the quieter end of Seven Mile Beach; just far enough away from the resort areas to get away from the crowds. But still close enough to enjoy all the amenities it has to offer.

Historic Boggy Sand Road is a quiet side road that runs along the shore with mostly private residences rather than multifamily homes. Here, you will find multi-million dollar mansions next to, 100 year-old local style cottages, and that is what gives Boggy Sand Road its unique feel.

Cemetery Beach and Reef, a premiere snorkeling area and shaded beach, is right next to Boggy Sand Beach. Also, the U.S.S. Kittiwake shipwreck is a 5 minute swim from shore. West Bay beach is less than a 10 minute walk, nearby.

Cayman Turtle Farm and Dolphin Discovery are 5 minutes’ drive away. As well as Barkers Nature reserve, which is great for kitesurfing and horseback riding.

Many fantastic local restaurants are nearby. Morgan's Harbour and its great restaurants, and Dolphin Cove are just a few minutes away. We have a few restaurants that are within walking distance to Windsong; Heritage Kitchen with its local fare is always a favourite. Alfresco makes for great outdoor dining with a diverse menu. And if you're looking for breakfast or a quick bite, try West Bay diner. Within a short drive or bus ride you can access all the wonderful restaurants along the resort area.

Fosters Supermarket is 2 minutes away if you would like to stock up on food and drinks. Jacques Scott Wines will soon open next door to Fosters Grocery.

We are less than 10 minutes away from Camana Bay with Shoppes, Cinema and lots of restaurants. With lots of free evening entertainment, Camana Bay is the place to be at night and on the weekends. Free outdoor movie night on Tuesdays for the kids is always a hit. If you like duty free shopping, you can take a short drive to George Town or catch one of the local buses that are accessible all day.

There are many local excursion operators; some of which will pick up at Windsong or along West Bay Rd. Whether it’s a trip to Stingray City, snorkeling, diving, a trip to beautiful Rum Point, there's plenty to do and see.

With so many things to do, remember that the best feature we have on island is absolutely free. Pack a cooler, kick back and enjoy the sun and water just steps from your door.

Minimum Age Requirements
Any guest booking a Villa property must be a minimum of 25 years old. Windsong will only accept occupancy by a group with a least one guest of 25 years or older.

Children Policy
Windsong allow all stay on the complex. Children have to be supervised by their parents at all times when using the complex pool. There is no life guard on duty.

Paddle Boards, Kayaks etc is used at your own risk and the owners cannot be held responsible for injuries.


Transfers
In an unforeseen situation only (eg: property sold or damaged, etc), it may be necessary to transfer guests to alternate accommodations.
We will make every effort to notify guests prior to arrival should this occur and will endeavour to transfer guests to similar or better accommodations.
Our guests are our priority and we endeavour to make the booking process as easy as possible. We will do everything in our power to secure similar or better accommodations in the instance of a transfer, as we ultimately want our guest happy with the move. However, if, for any reason, we are unable to find anything suitable to move the guest to (ie: nothing similar, suitable or available), then the guest will be notified and a full refund will be given at that time. If this occurs, Windsong sincerely apologizes for any inconvenience caused.
