Why Liz Skogerson chose La Paz
Twenty five years ago we fell in love with the Baja and Sea of Cortez. We were looking for the perfect place where we could bring our boat and enjoy both. Costa Baja Resort and Marina is the ideal location. From our deck we overlook the marina and enjoy a wonderful meal at any one of the outstanding restaurants. The city of La Paz has so much charm and walking the malacon is an experience you will not want to miss.
What makes this Condo unique
Our condo is overlooking the peaceful marina and is within a few steps of many great restaurants. The Beach Club is the centerpiece with a large infinity pool, hot tub, restaurant, bar, gym, spa, kayak rentals and a beautiful white sand beach to walk or launch a paddleboard. The Gary Player golf course and club house is on a hill overlooking the resort with a breath taking view at any stop along the course!

Great location! Great place!
Nice and quiet. Convenient to the beach club, marina restaurants, and the golf course.
Great place but check in process was hectic
Loved the location, amenities and cleanliness. BUT communication was poor. The folks that were put as our contact once in Baja did not even know we were coming. One of them we found out quit and the other person told us he would figure things out. Once we arrived at the property, they could not find a key. About an hour later we got a key. Then, the parking spot that is assigned to us was occupied by another car that was the owners we were told. All that was figured out and we were fine, but then, one of the showers did not have any water pressure or hot water. All the couple staying i that room could get was trickles. So, they used ours (bathroom by the living room). We were finally contacted by the owners on our 5th day and they told us they were out of town and management was handed off to another company. We totally understand, but it was unnerving to think we would be stuck without a place to stay and not getting a hold of anyone via email or Whattsapp was frustrating. We hope they got it all figured out with their new mgmt because the place was great despite all that I mentioned.
Great place to stay
Although we arrived and were informed our original booked accommodations were not available due to double booking they were able to accommodate us with a different place that was more then adequate. Actually a larger place and higher up in the building. Would have liked to see a few more amenities in the condo, ie coffee filtres, salt and pepper etc. It was basically a large hotel room with a kitchen. Most other VRBO we have stayed in had a few more items. But for the most part and our length of stay all was good.
Perfect spot for 2
Roomy w/ wonderful views!
Had a great time
We had a great time at the condo. Great location with a nice view of the marina. The Costa Baja resort has a lot of amenities, and we celebrated New Year's Eve at the sushi bar in the marina, and listened to the music at another restaurant - all steps from the condo. The location is quiet and peaceful, and is a short 10 minute drive from downtown La Paz. 15 minutes from Balandra Beach and Tecolote beach.
Beautiful morning view, best resort amenity, and convenient with many restaurant choice!!
The condo was perfect size for us, 2 adults, 1 toddler and a baby. It had a gorgeous harbor/ocean/golf course view. Kitchen had everything we need for the short stay and having washer/dryer was awesome. Our stay in late August was super hot, but having restaurants and a market close by to the room helped us not walk too much in the sun. Also, the pool with beach club was awesome during the hot weather. Every restaurants had outside sitting area so it made it easier to have dinner with little kids. There is a shuttle to the town, which we used once. It was very convenient and helped us not trapped inside of the resort and venture out. When my husband and son took a boat trip, the tour operator dropped them off at the harbor after the tour and it was kinda cool too.
Overall, we loved everything about the resort and the condo. We will definitely go back and stay at Liz's again!
La Paz, BCS, MX is a colonial city filled with history and charm. The Malacon covers the city front along the bay with a walkway filled with many sculptures and areas of interest for miles. A great area to walk, jog or bike. This is the area where festivals and carnivals are held. This is where the pulse of the city can be felt!
