Overview

Bellevue Apartment Rental Photos and Description

Apartment, 1 Bedroom, 1 Bath (Sleeps 2)

Welcome to Lake Sammamish living! Escape to this 8 mile long scenic lake only 4 miles to Microsoft HQ and 10 miles to Seattle that feels like a far away summer home. Eagles soar overhead and salmon swim by your dock, as you relax at the beach firepit, after a full day of boating.

This gorgeous apartment is a fully furnished large one bedroom, bath, living room/kitchen on the first floor with a separate entrance. It is on the Lake Sammamish waterfront with views for miles down the lake to the snowcapped peaks of the cascade mountains.

It was fully renovated recently including all new kitchen and appliances, radiant heat tile floor, granite counters, maple cabinets, queen size bed, large oriental rug, 48” TV with DirectTV DVR, couch, desk, executive chair, printer, glass dining table, dishwasher, washer & dryer.

It's fully furnished, first class, with everything you need, plates, glasses, silverware, pots, towels, linens, napkins, premium kitchen appliances (coffee maker, microwave, margarita machine/blender, food processor), iron, hair dryer, clock radio, - if you need it, and we don’t have it, we will get it. All utilities including Internet and cable and maid service every 2 weeks are included. There is a covered patio, a deck, gas grill, and a patio lakeside, and parking.

We have a 120’ dock, with a fast 22’ Cobalt powerboat, 4 small sailboats, 2 stand-up paddleboards, 2 kayaks, and 2 windsurfers, as well as fishing gear, plus all the lifejackets, wakeboards, inflatable tubes etc. These are available for your use (once you are checked-out on knowing how to use them – and we can teach you). I'll need to ride along on the powerboat for insurance reasons.

Across the street (literally) is 80 acre Weowna Park with miles of old growth forest trails for hiking/jogging.

We live in the upper floors of the home, so check-in/check-out is easy and we are there if you need anything.

About Jim Mackey

I'm a consultant working at Microsoft, and since 2007 have rented to co-worker contractors on short term projects. Having lived out of hotels and corporate apartments, for 18 months before my family moved out, I know what a pain that is.

By buying a house with an extra apartment which I rent out, I was able to swing a gorgeous home on the lake instead of the “regular house” that I could afford.

We have been listing on VRBO/HomeAway for about 3 years and can provide past corporate renter references.

Jim Mackey purchased this apartment in 2007

Why Jim Mackey chose Bellevue

Living on the lake has been a dream, as I'm an avid sailor, boater, and learning to fish. Living in my 'vacation home' year-round makes it great to cut out on a sunny day, to go wakeboarding, without having to plan and pack up the family. I can work from my home office overlooking the lake, yet be 10 minutes from an unscheduled client meeting even in rush hour.

What makes this apartment unique

Living in Seattle, you learn the weather is unpredictable, most days Fall through Spring have some sun and some rain, so you need live on the water to get out quickly when the sun pops out for a few hours. We have the boats on power lifts so it's easy to be out on the water, 10 minutes after you say 'lets go'.

Gorgeous Apartment on Lake Sammamish. Sublime Views, Immaculately Clean, Quiet & Comfortable

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed for a week...I can't recall when I felt so at home and slept so comfortably when traveling. The view of lake Sammamish from the patio was spectacular. We enjoyed our stay immensely-the place was immaculate, quiet, comfortable and private. The bed was great and there is a fully equipped kitchen w newer appliances, dishwasher, pots, pans, microwave... bathroom set up with plenty of nice towels and toiletries, access to w/d. The area is just gorgeous with rolling hills and tall evergreens, nice parks, restaurants & diners nearby, 10 mins to Bellevue city and less than 20 mins to Seattle. We would definitely rent again!

Lakeside nirvana!

  • 5 of 5

This apartment and lake view are fantastic! The amenities are all as described -- and nicer than you would expect in a rental unit. Very well appointed kitchen, eat-in area, and comfy sitting/office space all overlooking the lake. After exhausting ourselves doing "tourist" things in downtown Seattle we'd take a quick 20 minute ride out to the lake and our own version of nirvana. Reading the Sunday morning paper from the patio while watching the great blue herons and eagles was only topped by the host taking us out on his powerboat for a fantastic tour of Lake Sammamish. We'll definitely return to this apartment for our next trip to Seattle.

Enjoyed the lake

  • 5 of 5

The unit was great and the owners were very helpful. Jim took us for rides on the lake with his power boat and we used the kayaks and paddle boards daily. We go to the Seattle area a few times a year to visit our daughter and grandchildren. They loved coming over to visit us at this home and to play on the lake. Weather was cool, but it didn't stop us. We hope to stay here again.

Oasis of calm

  • 5 of 5

I'd give it 6 stars but the website only goes to 5.

I've stayed here already twice this spring, and am already planning my next visit. The listing is accurate: it's well equipped, modern, and there is the lake front with all the activities. But even if you don't have time to take advantage of the amenities, it's a great place. I had phone calls every morning at 6am, and it was very pleasant to look at the lake as the sky got light. The apartment is just about the perfect height above the lake for beautiful reflections, even in the wintertime. I'd return after dark, after long days in an office working on a project, and it was extremely restorative to be in a quiet spot, with lights from across the lake, and occasional sound of waterfowl. I travel *a lot* (more than 50% of the time in the last 5 years), and this spot is a favorite.

It's bittersweet writing a great review because I'd prefer this to remain my secret! But that wouldn't be fair to the owners ,who are great hosts.

Loved our Stay!

  • 5 of 5

Highly recommend this apartment to those who love the lake. The apartment is very new and very well stocked kitchen and bathroom. Very private, yet hosts are available if needed. We paddleboarded, kayaked, had breakfast on the lakefront everyday and dinner with a fire everynight. If you are in the area, this is a must stay....

Very clean, gorgeous views, lots of fun!

  • 5 of 5

Actually much nicer than expected! Everything was very well stocked and as described. We loved sitting on the patio and watching the boats on the lake. Jim was kind enough to allow us to participate in a few events, even taking us out on the lake in his boat several times during our stay. The Fourth of July fireworks were absolutely amazing! Much, much nicer and far more personal than a hotel - we appreciated being able to experience this lake lifestyle. We will definitely go back as soon as we can!

Map

Nearest Beach
Weowna Beach
Car: recommended

On the Waterfront - just steps from your Weowna beach on the middle of Lake Sammamish. Across the street is an 80 acre old growth forest with miles of trails and a waterfall. Looking out on this 8 mile lake, forested hillsides and snow-capped mountains makes you feel far away but we are only 4 miles to Microsoft HQ (with minimal stoplights on the lakeside Parkway), 15 minutes from Seattle on I-90 or 520, under 10 minutes to downtown Redmond and Issaquah, Boeing Field 20 minutes, Costco HQ 5 minutes. Snoqualmie ski resort and casino is just 40 minutes away. 2 miles from shopping and restaurants, 5 mile from Bellevue Square. 20 minutes from Pike Place market and the Space Needle.

Bike around the lake, or visit 640 Acre Marymore park at the top of the lake, or 512 acre Lake Sammamish State Park at the south end. You can bike to the Redhook brewery & restaurant with miles of bike trails, and even the Woodenville winery region - Google 'Woodinville Wineries' to see about a hundred in biking distance (12-15 miles). Borrow our bikes if you like.

But right at your dock is a Cobalt 200 Speedboat to explore the lake (with owner), a Lido 14 & 2 Laser Sailboats, Stand-up paddleboard, Windsurfing equipment, with free Sailing & wakeboarding lessons, Fishing gear and 2nd pole license, Tow-tube & Inflatable rafts, you won’t want to leave this new home.

Click the 'Satellite View' on the map below to see the gorgeous lake and forest park that surround us to right and left. Zoom in on the dock & pan around the lake.
