About Sue Carr
I'm a TV Producer for features and entertainment and fiction writer. We moved out of London 6 years ago and love being in the country but not too far away from London. We've spent some time renovating the main house and cottage back to their former selves - lots of decorator's dust and hard work, and finally we can sit back and say, it's done!
Sue Carr purchased this Cottage in 2011
Why Sue Carr chose Milland
You are in the heart of the English countryside - designated an Area of Outstanding Beauty - with some great pubs and walks close by and yet you're one hour from London and the coast and there's a huge variety of activities close by. The cottage has a private gate that leads directly onto the South Downs as well as games and activities to keep the family entertained.
What makes this Cottage unique

Comfortable cottage in lovely setting
The cottage is warm, clean and comfortable and fully lives up to the photographs and description. Earlier positive reviews are well deserved. The owner is charming and personable and made us most welcome. A very pleasant stay was enjoyed and a return visit is tempting.
Lovely property in wonderful setting.
We arrived late but communication was good and we had no problems getting in. The house is in some beautiful grounds near a cricket pitch with access to the downs very close. The house was spotless with lots of extras like pool table tennis and table tennis. So quiet and peaceful - we will be returning!
Hi John, I'm so glad you had an enjoyable time at the cottage. Thank you for looking after the cottage so well and for being such lovely guests. Have a great rest of your summer 2018! With best wishes, Susie
Bright, airy and spacious
We stayed with a friend for 3 nights. The cottage was lovely with everything we needed. We went during school holidays so couldn't use the swimming pool but there was lots to do locally.
The cottage is situated very near beautiful National Trust walks.
We had a great time and would go back in the future.
Hi Poonam, It was a real pleasure to meet you all and thank you for looking after the cottage so beautifully. Come back soon! Best wishes, Susie
Perfect Cottage in the Country
We cannot say enough good things about our stay. The owner Susie was a pleasure to deal with. The property is beautiful and very well maintained. My wife and I stayed at the cottage for five days. The cottage itself is comfortable and charming. The kitchen is well equipped with plenty of dishware and new appliances. We enjoyed having wine and cheese on the downstairs patio in the evenings and walking though the South Downs. The shower is brilliant. Everything you might need to buy can be found in Liphook, which is just a few minutes drive away. The A3 is conveniently close. The nearby Rising Sun pub has great food, a good atmosphere and is worth a visit. Our walk to the Deers Hut pub was one of our favorite days, although the paths through parts of the Downs are not very well marked - nothing a gps can't resolve for you. Overall, an outstanding experience.
Excellent and perfect, we had a great time,. Thank you.
Very nice cottage in a great surrounding, spent there one Week with my wife and my daughter, we all enjoyed our time and Susie and her family really took good care of us with good tipps and infos. Thank you so much.
