We held our annual family reunion and the home was absolutely perfect. It was large, comfortable and very clean. No complaints. The major disappointment is that after all payments were made and personal travel plans finalized, only then did we receive the community rules which stated we could not use the swimming pool, tennis courts, etc. Knowing what amenities were in the gated community, and having read a previous renter's review about how enjoyable it was to have access to the pool, my grandchildren were particularly excited about swimming. Needless to say we had to improvise new activities during our stay. We should have been informed prior to our booking or it should be noted in the posting that community amenities are not included in the rental price. Apart from that the home was ideal and picking up keys, accessing the property, etc. went smoothly.
Great views and nice accommodations. Would recommend to anyone with a larger group headed to Baker.
The home was advertised as four bedroom, sleeping 12; however, two bedrooms had to be accessed by going outside (in the rain) to another outside door accessing the ground level basement. The house has been divided into two potential rentals - one per floor. Had we known that there was not an inside access, we would not have chosen this house. While the basement floor had a kitchen, it offered only plastic utensils. There were no amenities in either kitchen such as foil or plastic wrap for food nor storage containers for temporary food storage, left-overs, etc.
The house was clean, well maintained, and the property manager was extremely helpful. However, I would not recommend this property to friends or relatives without a full explanation of the house division.
The pictures have it right, this is a gorgeous accommodation. We fully enjoyed the comfortable setting,
the well-equipped kitchen, and the gorgeous mountains. We only had time to choose one of the nearby
hikes, but it kept us in awe of the beautiful scenery. The kids really enjoyed playing at the playground
and the pool afterwards, and choosing a movie from the collection at the house. Thanks for providing this great setting for making some wonderful family memories.
P.S. Thanks also for having the terrain maps of the surrounding area available. They helped us in our
We had a great time staying here. The atmosphere was warm and spacious. It was extremely clean and had a great kitchen. The community and area around it was full of possibilities. Not only winter sports and hiking, but you could spend allot of time just exploring around the neighborhood, with it's streams, playground and vast natural beauty. We drove in, in the evening as the sun was setting. The mountainous views took our breath away. I will look forward to visiting again. We were there around Mother's Day in 2009.
Really nice place. Stayed with the family and was impressed by it's private, easy access, wonderful kitchen, and a nice hot tub off the back deck. It was perfect for bringing up the family the night before and heading to the ski hill the next morning. We'll be going back again!
