About Sian and John Evans
We bought Les Tres oliveres in 2002 and renovated it to our own needs and taste. Our two children were very young at the time and we made changes to suit us as a young family. The location was perfect but we needed a pool and a grassy garden which is what we built. We have rented out the villa since 2003 but love spending time at the house - the area is quite special!
Sian and John Evans purchased this Villa in 2002
Why Sian and John Evans chose Begur
We think that the large number of positive reviews reflect what the place is like. Please have a read of them and you can see that they are from every year from 2006 to this year, and from people from many countries in the world. We want you to enjoy your stay and will do our best to care of you, from before you book until after you leave - ask us anything and we will tell you as it is.
What makes this Villa unique
The valley is quiet even in high season, and the pool and garden are private and not overlooked. Wherever you are, there will always be better views, but the views from our place are rather nice!

Beautiful villa and area
Both villa and location were beautiful. John very responsive and provided lots of helpful information for the property and local area.
Lovely, cosy house
We had a great time at the house, our second visit. It has all you need for a lovely holiday. We hope to be back one day.
Fabulous property, stunning view, wonderful hosts
We enjoyed a wonderfully relaxing three weeks at the gorgeous Les Tres Oliveres which is equipped with everything you could possibly need - from a fabulous coffee maker to soft beach towels - for a perfect stay.
The views are simply stunning from both the terrace and while sun bathing by the pool and although built on a hillside, with no slope behind the property casting a shadow, it has glorious continual sunshine from dawn to sunset.
The local area is beautiful too with great beaches and many little towns and villages to explore. Begur is a truly delightful place with great restaurants and boutiques to enjoy a bit of browsing. Each morning we got our freshly squeezed orange juice and baked baguettes and croissants from Sa Riera which is only a four minute drive away.
John & Sian are fabulous hosts, quickly responding to any query and determined to ensure you enjoy your stay in their beautiful home. Their kind and thoughtful assistance meant we had, for us, the perfect holiday
Amazing location, so much to see and do
It's our third trip to this heavenly villa. Our family just loves the stylish touches, supreme comfort and home away from home feel of this beautiful place. The heated pool means it's hard to get the kids out especially after dark with the lights on! We found so many gorgeous beaches (the excellent manual tells you so much like which ones you need to get up early to park at) and coves this time and there's just so much to do. Really recommend boat hire with Begur Boats too to find the gems. We always love the restaurant recommendations - our favourite this year matched yours in Sa Riera! We'd recommend this to everyone. John's communication is always amazing and so friendly (I feel like I've met you John!). And having returned over three years we've always been impressed with the improvements you've made and the new touches. Loved the new loungers on the balcony area this year and moving the others made it even more comfortable at the pool. Love love love this place. Coming back again soon. Thanks John and Sian.
Thanks again for staying with us and for writing this review. We have many people who return from previous years but not many that come back for three successive years, especially someone that we have not even met!
The upgraded pool heater has made a difference especially out of peak season but as you say even helps in the evenings in August.
Begur Boats are based just 10 minutes walk away in Aiguafreda and hiring one of their boats will enable you to access many of the small coves which are accessible only by sea - you will often find yourself alone there, even in the peak season.
One of our favourite restaurants that you mention in Sa Riera is called Recer de la Mar, and is definitely worth a visit. Excellent value but most of all, excellent food and super service. Sa Rascassa is also only about 10 minutes walk too, but in the other direction at Aiguafreda.
Sian and I always appreciate your feedback Maisy, because you do spot the things that we change every year to try and improve the house and garden - those 2 new sun loungers are quite nice which brings them to a total of eight. So there are plenty of relaxing spaces in the garden and on the terraces not forgetting the outdoor sofa in the shade under the balcony.
You know that you will always be welcome back at any time - thanks again

Lovely villa, lovely area.
This villa has a wonderful homely feel. You can tell it is the owner’s holiday home as lots of thought and care has been put into the little details to make staying here comfortable. Begur is fabulous too. We’d definitely go back!
Begur is a pretty special place and we are very pleased that you enjoyed the house too. Please come back when you are ready
Really enjoyed our holiday here. The villa is well equipped and extremely comfortable. The sea views are stunning and the villa has plenty of outdoor space including a really good size heated pool. The communication from the owners was excellent and they provided us with all the information we needed prior to our arrival which made the journey to the villa easy, even late at night! Would highly recommend.
Thank you for taking the time to leave this review and we are delighted that you enjoyed your time at our house. and that you found our 'Welcome Book' to be helpful.
As we have already discussed, you are very welcome back at any time. This year we have three separate families returning from 2017!
Our villa is called Les Tres Oliveres and is situated in one of the most beautiful areas of the Costa Brava, Spain on the small coastal road between the coves of Aiguafreda and Sa Riera. The Costa Brava has a rocky coastline, plentiful in coves, secluded beaches and little fishing villages. Both Sa Tuna and Sa Riera are right in the heart of this coast and recognised as being two of the jewels of the Costa Brava, and both are 20 minutes walk along the coastal path from the villa. Aiguafreda is less than 10 minutes walk.
Salvador Dali lived near here in Cadaques, and the Dali Museum in Figueres is only 45 minutes drive.
Both the Cap Roig Botanical Gardens and the Greco-Roman Site of Empuries are worth a visit and and are less than 30 miles away.
Girona is 45 minutes drive, the French border is just over an hour north and Barcelona is 1 hour 40 minutes.
Other Activities: The area is superb for diving and only 10 miles from the Medas Islands. There is excellent snorkelling at Ses Negres, just 2 minutes walk.
Our house is registered with the Register of Turisme de Catalunya (RTC) and the reference is HUTG-010325
