The house: two-floor, 3 bedroom, 2.5 bathroom row house. Built around 1900, fully renovated in 2012. Hardwood floors throughout, tons of windows (rare in row houses), great kitchen, entertainment center, etc. This is a perfect place for a big family or two small families who want a clean, comfortable house with all the amenities to return to after a day exploring DC.
Bedroom 1: queen bed and daybed
Bedroom 2: full bed
Bedroom 3: bunkbed with two twins
House sleeps 6 easily. If you have 7 (or extra kids), there's a daybed, couch, and plenty of floor space!
Bath 1: (attached to master bed) has shower (no tub) and heated floors!
Bath 2: has tub
Bath 3: half bath on main floor
Other: nice backyard (by DC standards - it'll seem small if you're from the 'burbs) with grill; all normal appliances (dishwasher, washer/dryer, etc.); and plenty of street parking.
The neighborhood: Capitol Hill is a fairly quiet residential neighborhood with a few mostly local commercial strips (restaurants, bars, music, and more) at Eastern Market, H St., and Barracks Row, and easy access to lots of fun stuff in DC like the National Mall, Smithsonian Museums, the Supreme Court, Congress, etc. If you're not wed to your car, there are bus lines within a block, bike share 2 blocks away, 15 minute walk to a couple subway stops (Eastern Market and Union Station).
