It was very serene and private and it had all the amenities from home but in a vacation spot.

I would stay over and over again at this home. It was very clean. And very private. We had a blast playing on the paddle boards and kayak. A home away from home!

It was amazing. Way better than I imagined.

My wife and I spent our honeymoon here and this place was awesome. We kept wishing we could live there forever. The views were amazing and the place was very private. My only regret is that we only stayed here for three of the five nights that we were in Washington. If I ever come back, or I should say when I come back, I hope this place will be available again.

Enchanting Haven

  • 5 of 5

Our family of three stayed in the cabin from March 20 to 23, 2016. The first minute we arrived, we knew it was a gem. The cabin was cute outside and warm and welcoming inside in every way. But such was the beauty of the lake view, that I rushed back to the car for a camera to capture that moment. I didn't realize till a few days later that the view is unimaginably beautiful in every condition: sun, clouds, mist low or high or both, drizzle here or there or nowhere. The magic of this place is shamefully understated by the owners. Think Brigadoon.

You can't see any other house from within the cottage except those far across the lake. At night, each far-away house light paints a streak of shimmering light across the lake, recalling Van Gogh. In the daytime, the view is a mirror-world, with snow-capped misty hills gracing top and bottom. Come back in 5 minutes and the dream world has changed completely, depending which patches of mist are drifting up and which are drifting down the valleys across the lake.

We were first time visitors to the Olympic Peninsula, and Lucia very kindly offered detailed traveling and sightseeing information that was invaluable to us. Following this advice we enjoyed the ferryride to Poulsbo and the charming town, snow shoeing at Hurricane Ridge (and could return unopened at no charge the tire chains we bought locally and didn't need), hiking to Madison Creek Falls, Marymere Falls, Sol Duc Falls, and the Spruce Railroad Trail, which offered the breath-taking views of the creeks, ponds, and Lake Crescent. Later, we also enjoyed tremendously the Hoh Rain Forest, which is unique and beautiful beyond words--so many more shades of green than I knew existed. Although the rain was on and off most of the time, it didn't spoil at all our hiking in the lush forests. (Expecting the wet weather, we donned waterproof boots, jackets, and rain hats.)

Back to the cabin--it was comfortably furnished and tastefully arranged (and immaculately clean!) and quite easy to feel far away from any worries or stress. Our 13-year old daughter thinks that this cabin was by far the best vacation home we ever had! If you would like to visit a true dreamscape, this just may be right for you, as it was for us. Will we return one day? Well, Gene Kelly did!

Wonderful Cabin Expereince

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed our time at the cabin. It's a beautiful space, it has EVERYTHING you might need. It's clean, charming, warm, cozy, and BEAUTIFUL views. We loved the lake. And so much beauty to explore in nearby Crescent lake. We definitely recommend staying here!
