Wonderfull place, very nice house!
We had great time in this house: the place is really wild and quiet, and so beautiful! We loved the house, very warm, with enough space for 6 people and we had everything we needed for cooking, washing... After being in the snow and the wind, it was gorgeous to come back to this cosy cottage. Perfect place to discover Snaefellsnes Peninsula! And a good place to see northern lights!
Excellent value but check the housekeeping requirements.
For the price this was probably the best value accommodation in our whole trip to Iceland. A three bedroom house, fully equipped kitchen, comfortable sitting/dining room, excellent views (when the fog lifted) and easy walks to some wonderful coastal scenery - not to mention coffee and cakes at the Fjoruhusid cafe. The lack of wi-fi is a minor downside and a bit of a surprise in such a well-equipped house but the main issue is the housekeeping: I can't speak for other people but we expect to leave a house clean and tidy; however, here you have to wash and dry the bedding before leaving as well. For us this was a minor issue as our next journey was the short hop down to Reykjavik but if we'd needed to be away early we'd never have managed it. Still, we'd happily have stayed longer if we could have.
Jut what we were looking for
Perfect location for my friend and I, who were attending another friend's destination wedding at the nearby Hotel Budir. Spacious, quaint home with spectacular views of the ocean and mountains.
Beatifull house with a fantastic views
Lovely house with good facilities. Lot of nice reading about Iceland. Amazing wiews to Snæfell and the sea. Perfect.
very comfortable and spacious
This was an ideal location to visit the Snaefellsness peninsula plus, from the house, there were beautiful views in all directions. The kitchen is well equipped and we appreciated having some basics like tea , sugar and oil already available in the house. The beds are very comfortable and the house is spacious for 5 adults. This comfortable home will remain engraved in our memory, as will the stunning scenery of this region.
Wonderful cottage With a fantastisc view
Enjoy the idyllic surroundings of the Snæfellsjökull National Park in a brand new luxury cottage, located only two hour drive away from Reykjavik. The spectacular nature at Snæfellsnes peninsula has often been referred to as the center of the earth and became world famous after Jules Verne described it in his book “A Journey to the Center of the Earth”. The setting offers a variety of things to do such as: beautiful hiking trails, whale watching, sailing around various islands, historical placed, bird watching, skiing and sightseeing on the glacier.
