Guestbook comments from the manager

Just wanted to tell you that we had a fabulous time at Thanksgiving. We loved the house. In fact we preferred it to our earlier house rental and we would definitely return. Melanie came and welcomed us and told us where everything was, she was very helpfull. Thanks again for all of your help. Say “hi” to your wife and we wish you both a Happy Holiday.

Willows on the Miles is a fabulous family vacation house. Plenty of watersports (swimming, windsurfing, fishing, kayaking). Since we were the first renters of the season there were a few minor bugs that had to be worked out, but Joe (mgr) and Mark (owner) took care of them immediately. The large kitchen and 2 dining rooms made family dinners easy to prepare and serve. One of our members can't be in the sun, but she could sit under the gazebo and still be right in the middle of the group. Enough venues (pool, dock, gazebo, porch) that I could go sit and read for hours without offending anyone. Willows is such a nice haven that we almost had to force ourselves to go out, but our trips to St. Michaels, Oxford, and Easton were enjoyable. Very secluded, but only a 10 minute drive to the grocery store. I strongly recommend this property for a great family getaway.

Wonderful Family Vacation!!!

This was our first visit to Chesapeake Bay, and it hopefully won't be our last. We found the Maritime Properties extremely responsive and accommodating from the first time we inquired about the property until we received our deposit back. They obviously take great pride in their rental. The house itself was beautiful and very clean. We spent most of our time poolside, but also went kayaking, played lawn games and fished off the dock. The property was so peaceful we felt like we had our own private view of the sunset, and it was stunning! We had a great week and can’t wait to return!

Located just minutes from historic, downtown St. Michaels, you and your family can enjoy museums, sightseeing, shopping and dining in town. A winery and brewery are fun for the adults but take the whole family to see the local lighthouse at the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum!

With plenty of green space and water access back at the property, you will also want to add crabbing and fishing to the itinerary which can be done right from your own private dock. Kayaking, boating, hunting (in season), birdwatching or just relaxing by the pool are also great options for making your vacation a true Eastern Shore experience.

Family picnics, bbqs and crab feasts are great past times too(be sure to ask us about our concierge services such as steamed crab delivery)!
