Why Mary Anderson chose Historic District - South
Downtown Savannah is a treasure trove of spectacular historic homes. Even those who didn't know they love architecture or 'antiques' can appreciate the beauty that surrounds them in this inspiring city.
What makes this House unique
This is one of very few downtown properties with a swimming pool! Not only is this a luxury property but it has a saltwater pool and outdoor fireplace! Amazing!

Garage was a plus. Close to Kroger and everything really. Well equiped. Beds comfortable
Carriage house just right. Toilet seems to take a long time to refill. May have a slow leak.
Clean, convenient, and quaint
My husband and I vowed to stay at the carriage house every time we come to Savannah. It was close to river street and also has a Kroger within immediate walking distance. It was very clean and comfortable.
Clean, Convenient, Modern Space
This was a beautiful, modern living space in a quiet neighborhood of the historic district. Super convenient to Forsyth Park, and an easy starting point to exploring the historic district by foot. Very clean and comfortable to come back to at the end of each day of exploration. Loved having the amazing coffee shop Mate Factor on the corner and the grocery store a block away. We had a really great time. This will be my go-to VRBO for my return trips to Savannah.
Excellent accommodations! Bright, clean , modern and very safe area. I felt great staying g there alone.
Cute, quaint, great location
We loved our stay here! It was a great location and loved the quick walk in the morning to the coffee house on the corner. Very cute place and well kept! The only negative would be the pull out bed. It was very worn, so we ended up just both sleeping in the bed (my sister and I). We would stay here again!
Great and not.
Carriage house loved but Toilet broken, bathroom faucet reversed, microwave stove light out, cabinet trim falling off and courtyard and pool unkempt and garage keypad never worked.
The courtyard flowers had not yet been replaced after the winter freeze and we apologize for any disappointment for our early Spring guests. We have had an unusually chilly quarter in Savannah but we are actively working on sprucing things up outdoors as of late April. We wish the guest had asked for some assistance with other concerns. The appliance bulb in the hood over the range has been replaced. We checked the bathroom faucet and found that it is not reversed or backwards. it is a Kohler faucet labeled Hot and Cold with directional arrows that may have confused this guest. We also found no sign of the toilet being broken. Since no other guest mentioned concerns about those things we think we could have helped this person if we heard from her. The garage entry panel needed new batteries and we replaced them April 4th when the need came to our attention. Since there is an alternative way to access the garage several people stayed without letting us know about the coded panel issue. Reviews come in 2 weeks after the stay so we prefer all guests to let us know of their questions and concerns directly to avoid delays.
An easy three block stroll will have you in Forsyth Park - the landmark districts largest park. The park features a cafe, tennis courts, farmers market on Saturday, and is surrounded by some of Savannah's finest homes along with some of the locals' favorite restaurants, bars, coffee shops, and markets. Hall Street is a beautiful brick street with large Live Oak trees and some of the largest Crepe Myrtles in the area.
The primary grocery store for downtown, Kroger, is located just a block away and Ganem's wine shop is just a block and a half away.
Heading North you will enjoy strolling through many Savannah Squares as make your way to Broughton Street - the primary shopping street, or to River Street.
