Susan and Frank. We live in NJ but have always loved coming up to the Vermont area. Now that our 3 children are grown we thought we would look for a place where the extended family could gather. And we found it! The whole family cousins grandparents etc love coming up here.
Susan Johnson purchased this house in 2009
We used to visit the Bomoseen area 20 years ago with our young children and thought if we were able to come back and buy something we would look for something on the lake. It is relaxing and fun. This area has something for everyone!
The owners are wonderful! Susan was always very responsive to our email requests and provided plenty of information regarding the surrounding area and the house.
This is our second year spending the week at this lovely lake home. We had 3 adults and 3 teen children in our party and we all had PLENTY of space! This home has everything you would ever need to spend the week on the lake. The house is spacious, clean and has a spectacular view from the front enclosed porch! The top of the boat house provides a great place to have a lunch/dinner while enjoying the expansive view of the lake. They have a gas grill at the boat house to make it super convenient to whip up a great meal!
We love this home and hope to come back next year!
The house very clean and had everything we needed easily at hand. the owner was excellent to work with all along the way and during our stay. The layout of this home is perfect for a Group. We had 10 people with 4 Kids and we all had our own space. We loved the huge porch. Its just perfect for playing cards late into the evening. We were in VT during a very hot week but the water was very inviting and we rented a boat and docked it at the beautiful dock that comes with this home. We ate our meals out on the rooftop boat house. Loved it!
We had a fantastic week here! To begin with, the owners were great to work with, very responsive to emails in the planning stages, and providing plenty of information about the house and area.
The house was spacious and clean -- there were 10 of us there, and we all had our own space. The common areas were also large enough that none of us felt cramped at all. Most of the time we were in the house, we were enjoying the glassed in porch area that spans the front of the house -- beautiful view of the lake, breeze through the windows -- the perfect spot. The teenager in our group especially loved her own space in the sleeping loft, complete with Christmas lights for that extra touch. It was also very well-equipped, with everything we needed. We especially loved having access to all the water equipment and used it every day. The Lake Bomoseen area is not a touristy area, but we did enjoy some hiking (on a trail suggested by the owner), and we traveled an hour away (a very enjoyable ride along country roads) to Manchester Center for a little outlet shopping.
We did have a small problem with the ladder to the floating dock breaking on our first day, but the owners had provided contact info in case of any problems. We contacted them, and they responded right away, also sending the property manager to check it out.
Before we even left, the kids were asking when we could return. All in all, a fantastic vacation spot!
