This 18th century renovated farmhouse is composed of 4 levels including 4 bedrooms suitable for disabled people.
Garden level: 3 bedrooms (Petrarch, Becket and Daudet)
Ground floor: 3 bedrooms (Van Gogh, Matisse and Mistral), kitchen, living room, dining room and entrance hall.
First floor: Mezzanine library and Camus bedroom
Second floor: Pagnol bedroom with four-poster bed and panoramic views of the Luberon
The farmhouse offers an inestimable benefit: holiday-makers can isolate themselves in an indoor or outdoor area because there are many different areas or on the contrary, get together to have pleasant and convivial moments: breakfast, barbecues, aperitifs or swimming. The Jacuzzi and the massages “à la carte” (with prior appointment/see rates in the resume of the accommodation) are a way to end the day and start the evening in a relaxing and well-being atmosphere. It is difficult to remain insensitive to it and not to try it again every day.

"We had 13 adults and 2 kids stay for one week. The house is amazing. Everything on the outside is impeccable: the pool, the hot tub, the petanque course, the landscaping complete with lavenderand butterflies, and on and on. The inside is equally outstanding. The house has 4 floors and we easily could spread out and find places to get away and have privacy, but than meet at one of 3 giant dining tables for group meals (inside, porch, lawn). The owner linked us with an amazing chef. Her name is Soko and she's Japanese but don't let that fool you. She cooks amazing French food. She shopped, cooked, cleaned up, etc. We didn't lift a finger. It was amazing. We rented bikes (which the owner also helped us with) and biked to many places that were so, so beautiful. We rented electric bikes and traditional bikes. My wife, who rarely cycles, biked with me to LaCoste (7 miles each direction because we purposely went the scenic route) and totally loved it. She loved it so much, I am now an $800 electric bike for her! Point being, the hills are NOTHING on an electric bike. Bonnieux is literally a 3 minute bike ride from the house. The Lavender Distillery is a 15 minute bike ride. Saignon is a 20 minute bike ride. We are in our 40's, 50's, and 60's and every single person that had the electric bike loved all the rides. Passing fields of lavender, olives, cherries, apricots, was just outstanding. Speaking of outstanding, the owners of this house, Rose and Eric, are the best part of the whole thing. We have rented and traveled the world over and had thought that the Kiwis and Balinese were the world's most helpful and friendliest people, but Rose and Eric take the cake. They are incredibly helpful, kind, patient, responsive, and every other positive adjective you could name. I own the highest rated company (Yelp) of my profession in my city and I'd like to think I know a thing or two about customer service. I highly doubt I will ever meet anyone better than Rose and Eric" Gary

Why Owner chose Bonnieux
We fell in love with this house because of its location in an exceptional nature site Also note the quietness, the fact that it is not overlooked and the majestic beauty of the farmhouse itself. The history of this farmhouse is interesting. This huge 7-acre estate sheltered an 18th century farmhouse and 2 15th century dry stone huts that the former Mayor of Bonnieux, general practitioner of the village, majestically renovated while preserving the typical character of the Provencal building. Just like him we added our own touch while renovating this farmhouse in a functional, harmonious and uncluttered way. The colours change during the day and with the seasons. The indoor colours are warm and relaxing and the site has a magic cachet that all the people who came to the farmhouse for an hour, a day or a week immediately felt in a significant and intense way. We also have been seduced by this cachet that is ideal for daydream and relaxation which take us away from our daily life.

Very beautiful and amazing place!
We loved being in this comfortable and beautiful home where the views are breathtaking and we could enjoy many walks into the village and forest.
Worth another review (previous review MAGICAL RETREAT)
Reflecting on our amazing time at this perfect property is just like a dream. Anyone who gets the chance to stay here will never regret it. Every aspect of this house delivered, the rooms were spacious and had their own bathroom, the living areas were optimal for hanging out and connecting, the outside area for eating was bug free and ideal for large parties. Everything was clean and functional. The pool was especially perfect for our kids. The seating area near the pool offered great night time wine and stars. Rose the owner was prompt if I needed anything and response within the same day. We highly recommend this place especially for large groups. We were a group of 18 and it was extremely comfortable. We hope to return over and over to this paradise.
MAGICAL HOLIDAY RETREAT
Our group of 18 were celebrating a 50th birthday. Our total surprise when we arrived at this magical place and all the incredible details and comforts that Rose suppled were like a fairytale. The property was well kept, the rooms all comfortable and having own bathrooms for large group was exceptional. We received 5 star service from all the staff and were delighted by all the nooks and crannies of places to just be together, near pool, in the garden, dinners outside, kids loved the place as well. We would highly recommend this to anyone who wants top notch location and superb comfortable and gorgeous setting as well as divine spacious home.. Thank you Rose you have a wonderful property, it is with sincere gratitude to you and your home that we had such a wonderful stay.
Fabulous Villa for Family Vacation
Our American family of 16, ages 20-62, rented this fabulous villa for a week in early summer. The villa was well-equipped, a lovely mix of traditional Provencal with modern comforts, and spacious. But the grounds were the really special aspect. Situated in this beautiful nature preserve, the grounds featured beautiful gardens, hiking trails, large swimming pool, hot tub, petanque court, ping-pong table, outside barbeque, inside and outside eating areas, old stone ruins, and wonderful views of the villages of Bonnieux and Lacoste from some of the villa rooms. It was easy driving distance to nearby villages (walking distance from Bonnieux) as well as to Aix-en-Provence, Avignon, and Chateau-neuf-de-Pape. We also took a hot air balloon ride in nearby Roussillon.
I highly recommend this property as either a base from exploring Provence or a place to relax amid the quaint villages of the Luberon mountains. I only wish we had booked for two weeks so we could do both more fully! Rose was very helpful in connecting us to the hot air balloon pilot and to Edith, a local chef who prepared our first night dinner and did a cooking class mid-week for us at the villa.
I am so glad Maureen to read your nice review, glad for the review but also glad to hear that you have had a so good time in the house. I take the advantage to say how good visitors you were
respect of the space, kindness and excellent communication.
Hope to see you again soon

French Charm and Abundant Comfort
I've just returned from a week's stay with a group of 14, and without exception, we were delighted. The public areas are comfortable and ooze charm. The bedrooms and bathrooms are lovely and comfortable, particularly those on the main level that open onto the portico. The kitchen is well stocked for any type of cooking. The grounds are endlessly magical with space for dreaming, wandering, sports, or just watching the moon over the mountains. Rose and Eric met us upon arrival and could not have been more delightful or accommodating. The property was an ideal base for walking into Bonnieux or exploring the neighboring villages, and we did quite a bit of both. I will definitely be back. In fact, I can't wait! I LOVE this area of the Luberon and am thrilled to have a home base.
Fabulous house and welcoming owners
I stayed with a group of 17 friends for a weekend at the house and I cannot fault Rose and Eric. Nothing was too much trouble and they helped make our stay so enjoyable. Any questions I had regarding the stay Rose promptly responded and provided many suggestions. She and her husband went out of their way to accommodate some of our requests. Without their help our stay would not have been half as what it was. Every single person from my group commented on how accommodating they had been. The house is absolutely stunning and the photos do not do it justice, we are already discussing when we can come back for a second visit. Thank you Rose and Eric for everything you did before, during and after our stay. Katie
In Bonnieux in the Luberon, you are in the heart of Provence You have a wide choice of excursions and good deals First of all, visit the most beautiful villages of France starting with Bonnieux and its unique views of Mont Ventoux but also Lacoste which is famous for its Château du Marquis de Sade, Gordes which is a famous medieval village, Roussillon which is the small Colorado, Saignon and its rock, Oppède-le-Vieux, Cucuron, Lourmarin and many others like Isle-sur-la-Sorgue which is famous for its second-hand shops and its antiques. Around 20 km away, you can discover natural sites such as Fontaine-de-Vaucluse, the Rustrel Ochre, the Dentelles de Montmirail but also mythical towns such as Avignon and its Cité des Papes, Orange and Vaison-la-Romaine for their antique theatre. Hidden in the Vaucluse Gorge, you will discover the Sénanque Abbey Further South, in the Alpilles: Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, birthplace of Nostradamus, Eygalières and its site and the Château des Baux-de-Provence. On the other shore of the Rhône, you can also discover the Pont du Gard, perfectly preserved Roman viaduct. Further South: the town of Arles and its Colosseum arena, our beautiful Mediterranean Sea with Marseille and the Calanques (rocky inlets) of Cassis at less than 50 miles (1 hour drive) The many beaches of the Var and the Côte d’Azur are ideal for relaxation and for their landscape Some good addresses where you can enjoy great food: l'Arôme in Bonnieux la Bergerie à Bonnieux Le Fournil in Bonnieux La Coquillade in Apt La Terrasse in Goult Le petit café in Oppède-le-Vieux Restaurant de l'Horloge in Cucuron Sport activities: Tennis, soccer, horse riding and biking in Bonnieux Nearby golf course in Saumane Bike rides on the roads of the Tour de France, Mont Ventoux, canoeing in Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, hikes in the cedar forest surrounding the house and climbing in the mountains of the Vaucluse and the Luberon. The region is famous for its Côte du Rhône, Gigondas, Chateauneuf-du-Pape, Ventoux and Luberon wines. We recommend you certain vineyards and wine cellars such as Aureto which is one of the most famous cellars in Ménerbes and Aureto in Roussillon. The region is mythical for the Tour de France lovers because you can see the Mont Ventoux, famous mountain stop-over of this circuit. As for the Luberon, it delights young and old hikers and climbers. The Luberon is appreciated for its perched villages, its exceptional sunshine, its Mediterranean scents and the song of birds and cicadas at night. Its Provencal gastronomy attracts the experts and hedonists (truffles, lavender honey, tapenade, olive oil, wine, alcohol, etc.) The region is also famous for its art and antique markets that attracts tourists from all over the world (Isle-sur-la-Sorgue). We cannot talk about the Luberon without talking about its local markets in the villages whose origin dates back to Middle Ages. The Vaucluse, and particularly the Luberon, is a land to discover because it was difficult to access for a long time. It is only since the 70’s, thanks to the development of infrastructures, that the region opened itself to tourists and artists without losing its nature character and the secret that make it an exceptional place. The places that we appreciate the most are the following: Perched villages including Bonnieux, Gordes, Lacoste, Ménerbes, Lourmarin and Roussillon Les Baux-de-Provence The Rustrel Ochre The small Colorado Avignon and the Cité des Papes Fontaine-de-Vaucluse Cassis and its calanques (rocky inlets) Aix-en-Provence and Marseille Arles and Orange Bike rides, hikes in the cedar forest and on the marked paths as well as climbing in the mountains of the Luberon and the Vaucluse are also very pleasant. It is very interesting and pleasant to visit the cellars and vineyards whether it is the offered tastings or the original explanations of the passionate and outgoing guides. If you are interested in the fauna and flora, it is an interesting region that will delight the fishermen and hunters. The noble and wild Mediterranean Sea along the coasts of the Var is very romantic You can also go canoeing in Isle-sur-la-Sorgue Note that Isle-sur-la-Sorgue has also many antique shops offering items that are interesting for their history but also for their beauty and rarity. All budgets will be satisfied because, even if the quality is present, you will find some items for very affordable prices while strolling from shops to shops or from boutiques to stands. Finally, the Provencal markets are a pleasure for the eye and the palate and have been preserved as such since Middle Ages, when we used to sell things in the street and not in aseptic standard shopping centres.
