Thank you so much for letting us stay in this beautiful home. We played in the ocean everyday and went on a ton of adventures! The boogie boards and snorkeling gear was very much appreciated.

VERY IMPRESSED WITH THE RENTAL

  • 5 of 5

MY MOM & I ATTENDED MY SON'S WEDDING IN WAIMANALO AND RENTED THE HOUSE FROM AUG. 10 TO AUG. 15, 2016. THE HOUSE WAS PERFECT FOR MOM & I, 2 BEDROOMS, A/C THRU OUT, BEAUTIFULLY HAWAIIAN FURNISHING, NICE FULL KITCHEN, AND NICE LIVING ROOM. THIS IS A VERY NICE RENTAL PROPERTY, AND I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS RENTAL FOR VISITORS WANTING TO STAY IN WAIMANALO.

Beautiful little beach cottage

  • 5 of 5

I am writing this review 2 years later, as I was checking to see if it was available for our next trip. My husband and I stayed here with our son who was 12 at the time and we absolutely fell in love with Waimanalo Beach. The cozy cottage is well designed with a great vibe. We were so glad that there were beach umbrellas, mats and beach shoes available to use, because we certainly didn't bring any. The host brought us more towels when we needed them. and there were plenty of condiments and spices in the fridge and pantry to cook with. It is worth mentioning that one of the bedrooms is close to a busy highway, but traffic could not really be heard when the air conditioner was as on. I would stay here again. :)

We loved this house!

  • 5 of 5

This was perfect for our family. Enough space to spread out and to cook our own meals to eat in the dining room or on the patio. Blocks away from a great beach that was never crowded. (This beach might be a little rough for younger kids but was perfect for our 10 and 11 year olds who are strong swimmers.)The house was clean, neat, and well cared for. It had everything we needed, including boogie boards. It was a unique experience to "live" in a neighborhood rather than be in the busy tourist areas of Waikiki. We used it as home base as we set out to explore all the different sites of Oahu.

Family friendly vaclation spot with lots to do close by

  • 4 of 5

The home met all our needs and kept our vacation simple. We were able to grocery shop and dine in the local community which added to our experience. The beach is just a sort walk from the house where there are BIG waves to play in.

The only downside to the home is the highway noise at night. Sleeping with windows open was noisy. However, after the first couple of nights we got use to the highway noise.

We found the school next door enjoyable. It was fun to hear the kids singing and to watch them learn dancing.

The only addition I would recommend is a washer. But...using the laundry in town again was a way to interact with the community.

Thanks for sharing your home with us.

Absolutely Perfect

  • 5 of 5

Glass Ball Hideaway was absolutely perfect. Waimanalo beach is only a short walk from the house and a perfect way to start the day. You can take a leisurely walk or admire the views while you drink your morning coffee. The house was cozy and comfortable. If you are a light sleeper, the house is next to the main street which can be loud and headlights light up the front room during rush hour. It may be worth it to have darker window coverings for the front room to block out the headlights and maybe drown out some of the noise. Nonetheless, we were incredibly happy and content at the Glass Ball Hideaway. We have recommended this place to our family and friends.

Owner's Response: We are so happy you enjoyed your stay !Yes, we are installing heavier window coverings for the front room. The air conditioner does limit noise intrusion during those few hours when the rural road is busy. Hope to have you visit with us again. Aloha !
