Welcome to Shoalwater #401. This complex was rated #1 Landscaping Yard of the Month for September by the Orange Beach Garden Club! This Gulf front corner unit is conveniently located on the 4th floor with amazing views and still low enough to hear the waves. Desirable Eastern corner offers the best exposure to enjoy the balconies. Wrap around balcony with floor to ceiling glass make the most of the views from the Master bedroom and the living/dining areas. You will enjoy waking up in your king size bed in the Master and then walking right out onto balcony. Your guests will also be comfy in their Queen bedroom with their own private balcony and private bath. The last bedroom has two twin beds, a great beach theme, and also has a private bath. You can bring up to eight people with a queen sofa sleeper in living area that will have one of the best views in the entire place.
Unit has recently been remodeled and updated with new furnishings. There are TVS and DVD players in all the bedrooms and in the living area. Stay connected with WiFi streaming throughout, as well as a land line telephone inside the unit for your convenience. Full size washer and dryer in separate laundry room and linens provided (just bring your own beach towels!). Amenities include outdoor pool, indoor pool, exercise facilities, BBQ Area/Grills, tennis court, and hot tub. With all this you won't wan to leave...but in case you do, there are restaurants, parks, shopping centers (Including Tanger Outlet Mall in Foley), live entertainment, and much more very close by.

Our family had a wonderful vacation in 401! Very nice corner unit. Beautiful sunrises from this unit! This is our 3rd year we have stayed at Shoalwater! We live the privacy of the beach and the convenience of grocery stores and great places to eat! We will be coming back in the future! Thank you for another great family getaway experience!

Great vacation rental!
The condo was clean and spacious. The furnishing were comfortable and the decorating was very nice. The common areas were all kept very clean and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The pictures accurately depict the condo and I would stay here again if possible.
The condo is beautifully decorated. It is very roomy. The view was awesome. The location is great. I have nothing bad to say about this place. If we are looking to vacation in AL again, we will stay here.
Awesome views and great condo
Beautiful views overlooking the Gulf and pool. Condo was perfect for my family of 6. Well equipped corner condo with wrap around balcony. The only slight negative was the small kiddie pool.
The Condo was OK, but Management company was very poor.
The condo was OK, but I had issues with the management company (Poole and Associates). First, when I checked in a little after 3 PM, I arrived at the condo to find it a complete mess. Dirty dishes everywhere, food in the fridge, trash all over, the unit had clearly not been cleaned and previous renters left it a real mess. After 12 hours of driving, not a happy experience at all. I immediately called the management company, received an apology, and was told cleaning crew was on their way. Over an hour later, I called back as no one had shown. They called back and advised the cleaning crew had just pulled into parking lot. 30 minutes later, the crew was there. Nice ladies who cleaned, but had to spend over 2 hours with the major mess, while my exhausted family sat around and waited and waited.
Next, I had (3) cars with my family coming from different locations. This complex only allows (2) parking passes. I paid $17 each for (2) passes and was advised that was all I could have! The parking lot may have been 25% full the entire week! Thankfully, I spoke to the security guard at the property and explained the situation (after getting tow threats on one of my cars) and he understood and took care of me.
Last, the pool was closed the week we were there. No notice at all.
In terms of the condo, it we OK and we enjoyed the stay....that is most important.
I would not be writing this review if the Management Company had followed up on their promise. Based on my experience with the trashed unit at check in, they told me they would credit my cleaning fee. When I checked out, my cleaning fee had not been credited and they said it would be done within 2 days. Fast forward 9 days, and still no credit from the management company.
So while the condo was OK, the management company has left me with a bad experience.
We are truly sorry that you arrived to a dirty room, and unfortunately it happens during the busy summer season. Everyone wants to get into their condo as soon as possible, and sometimes the cleaners have marked the wrong units clean in the system. While this is by no means and excuse, it does happen and we did everything we could to make it better for you that evening. As for the response time - it can be very difficult to get from one end of the island to the other at that time during the season and they got there as soon as they could. The parking is an issue everywhere on the island as most of the condo associations (this being one of them) only allow us to give out up to two passes per unit, and if we exceed that we can get fined. The condo associations themselves can choose to give more out if the lot is not full, and this seems to be what happened here - they have that authority, but we do not. We also had no notice on the pool closing as it was not due to scheduled maintenance, but something that broke or went wrong that needed to be fixed before they could allow the pool to be used. We have every intention of refunding the cleaning fee as promised and will look into why it never got refunded in the first place. If you would like to contact us to help facilitate that, please do so. It is not our intention to keep that money from you, simply something that seems to have gotten away from us, but we will make it right. We hope that you come back and stay with us again so that we can show you the way the experience was supposed to go, and how it goes for so many other happy guests.
