This amazing 6000 sq.ft. home is so comfortable and luxurious. You'll feel like Hawaiian Royalty with unparalleled views of sunsets, whales, turtles, and stars. The spacious landscaped acre gives you much privacy to enjoy the oceanfront pool, hot tub, bbq, and outdoor dining area on the quartzite flagstone lanai. The 4 bedrooms of the main house all are equipped with telephone (free national long distance), flat screen tv's (digital cable), en suite bathrooms, beautiful furniture, amenities, linens, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand soap.... just bring your toothbrush and bathing suits. This property is unique in the fact that it is very large, private, comfortably accommodates up to 12 people, and is located so that you can enjoy the tropical trade winds and see the sunsets year round. There is a sandy enclave on the property situated directly on the oceanfront that sticks around all year, perfect for lounging, reading, sun bathing, or playing with the kids. There is plenty of driveway parking and additional parking at the top of the property. Mid-stay cleaning and catering is available on request for additional charges.

You can reserve the main home which is 4 bedrooms plus an office with a queen size sofa sleeper. There are 2 queen beds in the downstairs bedrooms, a king bed in the upstairs master bedroom, and a twin and full size bed in the 4th upstairs bedroom. For an additional $200/night you can reserve the guest suite which is a 1-bedroom with a queen size bed and a queen size sofa sleeper in the living area.

Reservations are limited to one rental group at a time and maximum occupancy of 12 people, including children over the age of two years old.

House Policies:

A. Quiet hours from 9pm to 8am, during which time the noise from the home shall not unreasonably disturb adjacent neighbors. Sound that is audible beyond the property boundaries during non-quiet hours shall not be more excessive than would be otherwise associated with a residential area.

B. Amplified sound that is audible beyond the property boundaries of the home is prohibited.

C. Vehicles shall be parked in the designated onsite parking area and shall not be parked on the street.

D. No parties or group gatherings other than registered guests shall occur.

E. The shoreline area is the property of the people of Hawaii, and is open for the free use by everyone.

F. Reservations are for one party only and the maximum occupancy is 12 persons including children over the age of 2.

This property is located on an oceanfront acre in West Maui. The water out front is pristine, full of turtles, amazing to snorkel, and close to surfing breaks in both the summer and winter. There is a sandy enclave on the property that is right next to the beautiful rocky shoreline. If you venture over the rocks you can find sandy enclaves right on the ocean for easier ocean access to swim and snorkel. The green sea turtles love this private stretch of shoreline and come up to sun on the beach daily. The property is landscaped for privacy. Enjoy sunsets year round.

We have rented a number of Villas and Houses, mostly in Europe and this was the finest we have experienced. The house is absolutely fantastic both in design and location. We were a family of 11 and cooked most of our meals. The kitchen was compleat in every detail. The Concierge, Thomas, booked us a fishing trip and Luau and both were memoral highlights. This was our 60th anniversary and we couldn't think of a better place to celebrate this event than the Kahana House

Great house for a family vacation

We took our immediate family on a Maui vacation to celebrate my retirement. We had 12 in total, including our three young adult kids, their spouses, 2 infants, a 3 and 6-year old and a nanny. The house was perfect and accommodated all of our needs. The ocean view was superb, we enjoyed the pool and the house gave us plenty of space to have family time as well as time on our own. I would highly recommend this home.

We expected a lot and got more!

The "House" exceeded our expectations. Every inch of the property was functional and used. There was ample space for gathering or wondering off on your own.The furnishings were comfortable and the view unbeatable. While a week on Maui was great, the real "star" of the trip was the house. We would definitely return again..

Paradise Found! MAHALO!

This house is heaven on earth! We came to enjoy the beautiful island, and found ourselves perfectly content to stay put on the property with the exceptional views, grounds, pool and all the comforts of home! The caretaker's ensured our stay was perfect and made themselves accessible, although we did not have to reach out to them for anything! Very cozy linens and beds, and the "Ohana Suite" over the garage was a perfect set up for our family of 9 to utilize along with the amazing home! Organic shampoo and lotions were provided, all complimented by a fabulous sound system throughout the house where you can play your ipod, or one of many great CD's that they have truly from start to finish was a memorable and perfect experience! We hope to come back next year! MAHALO from a very happy Colorado and Kansas Crew! :)

Whale watching is a favorite between Dec and April but best Feb and March. Haleakala, the dormant volcano, is breathtaking. It compares to grand canyon. Surfing or watching the surf during the huge winter swells @ Honolua Bay is exceptional. Restaurants are as good as any in the world. What chef wouldn't want to live on Maui? Cocktail cruise, snorkel or scuba trip are all as good as anywhere. Surf Lessons for the kids and adults are sure to make you happy, hungry and sleep well. Massages are wonderful and there is a great company that will come to the house and do as many as 12 massages in a day. There are several Sport fishing charters out of Lahaina Harbor and lately I have been seeing a big SUV parked at local reefs with MSA graphics and a mention of spearfishing tours. That could be fun. There is just so much to do here that I could go on forever. Hiking, Dirtbike tours, Ziplines, Cave tours, ATV tours, Night Clubs, Jazz festivals. Day trips are also numerous, Pearl Harbor, Hana, Lanai, Molokai, Kilauea (the active volcano on the Big Isle). One of the things that never gets old is the micro climates. It can be snowing on Haleakala as you sip cocktails under a rainbow on the beach in Napili while Hana gets a 20 min rain squall. We have every weather condition imaginable and yet very few of them last for more than a few minutes.
