About the property

Soak up the good life under the stars and enjoy tanquil eveing after a busy day.

**** BrookStone is well cared for with all the appointments you want to feel relaxed and pampered.

This property is professionally decorated with the idea of the guest in mind. Peaceful surroundings are the first thing you'll notice about this well cared for yet rustic resort neighborhood. In under 5 minutes you can be on the Parkway when you need some action or just lay back and enjoy the quiet that surrounds you in this tucked away spot. It's only a short drive to the Natl Park, 15 minutes to the welcome center and the Great Smoky Mountains beyond. Spend time in the clean mountain air, take a picnic and leave the smart phone in the car. This is the area of heaven where you just want to be with your family or friends. Enjoy a breathtaking drive through the oldest mountain range in the northern hemisphere.

When you get back to Brookstone, sit on the deck and listen to the sounds of nature and breezes hushing the pines. Take some time out and remember why you work so hard and deserve a little YOU time with friends and family. When it is finally time to give up the day, you can sink into 400 thread count , butter soft cotton sheets in relaxing bedrooms that will have you wanting to sleep in when the morning sun warms the windows. Prepare a BIG country breakfast with your favorite cafe "venti" in this well stocked kitchen (groceries not included). Or just relax with a glass of glass of wine in the late afternoon, maybe even take a soak in the hot tub. It's all here and it's waiting for you.

Brook Stone is a non-smoking, 2 bed 2 bath (sleeps 6) gem tucked just off the Parkway. Enter a world that has been lovingly and beautifully fitted out to create a relaxing and welcoming environment inviting guests and friends for over a decade. Its furnishings and appointments are designed to let you relax and feel completely at home. The queen sleeper sofa in the living room will add 2 more for a total of 6 guests with bath convenient to both sofa bed and first floor bedroom. Flat screens, WiFi, cable, gas fireplace and everything you need to make this a wonderful get away destination.

Brook Stone is conveniently located literally one half-mile off Pigeon Forge Parkway. The cabin is 2 minutes from the Pigeon Forge Parkway and in close proximity to all the activities from the Old Mill District, The Island, the Dixie Stampede and Dollywood and minutes to Gatlinburg. It is also 15 miles from the Great Smokey Mountain National Park, which includes the fabled Appalachian Trail and Cades Cove. Whether you choose to explore the grand splendor of nature, tour an authentic replica of the Titanic, go for a zip line tour, or experience a moonshine tasting at Old Smokey’s, you are in the perfect place. Nearby Gatlinburg TN also has the nations first Fourth of July parade beginning at midnight on, you guessed it, July 4th every year.

Regardless of the nearby activities that await you, there is nothing wrong with staying in. Brook Stone's kitchen, open to the dining area, is nicely equipped for both those who prefer just to snack as well as "hands on" foodies. Several nearby chain grocery stores offer everything you need to whip up your favorite dish and serve it on the roomy, bar height table with seating for 6.

Relaxing is as easy as breathing in the mountain air that surrounds you. Each of the two bedrooms has everything you need for a peaceful night's sleep, with luxury bedding and plush towels after a hot shower. A hot tub sits on the back deck for guests who want total relaxation so **** remember to bring your beach towels for outside use **** and unwind in the hot tub located on the back deck and enjoy the privacy of the surrounding trees. Please no children under 16 and none left unattended around the hot tub.

Sunlight fills the main floor bedroom and its comfy queen sized bed, while the adjacent full bathroom offers you every convenience. The upstairs master suite, meanwhile, boasts a king bed with coordinating linens and an overstuffed settee placed in the double window. Soak up the sun and enjoy a quiet niche for that book you’ve been dying to finish, and the detached upstairs bathroom will provide all the comfort with thick towels and make up remover pad/cloths and hair dryers for your luxury and convenience. Both bedrooms have flat screen TVs as well as the living room, but perhaps you and your loved ones would rather enjoy a chilly evening in front of the gas fireplace with a hot toddy or cocoa.

A stackable washer/dryer is on the second floor for your convenience, and parking for 2 vehicles in front with easy access. The resort swimming pool is open from Memorial Day to Labor Day for a dip with the kids. We request you not take Brook Stone’s towels outside. Beach towels are not provided.

The appointments and amenities at Brook Stone have been carefully thought out to ensure you have the best of everything available to you for your stay. From the moment you walk in the front door we want to make a friend who will want to come back.

Enjoy your breakfast or morning coffee on the back deck just to listen to the sweet soft singing of the birds. More than 230 species of birds live in this part of Tennessee and Great Smokey Mountain National Park is home to the largest ecosystem east of the Mississippi. From butterflies to black bears, from musical fountains to moonshine, find your happy place at Brook Stone in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee.

P.S. – DOGS WELCOME!! Furry family members (dogs only) are also welcome with an additional $60/per visit per pet fee and we happily provide the dog dishes, toys and a blanket. Please call to check with us on their size first, and bring a crate for when they are left unattended.

Mostly we want to help create wonderful memories during your stay and we want you to enjoy everything Brookstone and the area have to offer so you will come back again and again.

About Sally Weithman

I grew up knowing all the adventures that lay out there on the road. Mom taught us the value of reading a map and the joy of finding treasures in dozens of out of the way places on or off the beaten paths she loved to take. Dad did the driving and seemed to know where to find bathrooms when the necessity called. Many times the family boxer would come along and we all learned the patience that comes with traveling together in the family car. We stayed in Tee Pee's in Kentucky and rough sawed redwood cabins in Wyoming. From castles in Ireland to villas in the Virgin Islands I love finding a great place to stay. Many of my favorite childhood memories are those marvelous extended week-ends loaded in the car heading in points south to the Smokies and Blue Ridge Mountains. Many years and a few dogs later nothing has changed for me.

I still love to travel and while I have many favorite places that call me back again and again, I continue to seek out new areas of interest and our "must see" list keeps growing. Maybe I'll catch up with you out there on the road or across the sea. The world is full of wonderful people and marvelous things to see. Traveling makes you learn so much about yourself. I've still got a long way to go which is exciting for me.

Why Sally Weithman chose Pigeon Forge

This is my first place in Tennessee and the short answer is it is located in one of my favorite spots on the planet. Sleeping under a blanket of Tennessee stars and breathing in that mountain air makes this a natural pick. Brook Stone is perfect as a "just right for one or two or three couples" place in an area that feels remote yet is about a half mile from a Parkway filled with every imaginable thing to do. You can't be bored in Pigeon Forge Tennessee.

What makes this chalet unique

The property is ideal in it's location being so close to the bustling Parkway yet it feels like you are removed from the hectic pace when all you want to do is sit in the hot tub or enjoy a glass of wine and chill. It is a 10 minute drive to The Great Smokey Mountain National Park and all that lay beyond there. One hour away, over the mountain will find you at a casino in Cherokee N. Carolina if you fancy that kind of thing. Whatever you want it's here. About 1.5 hrs north and east takes you to N. Carolina and Biltmore the opulent Vanderbilt estate.

Gorgeous Cabin minutes to Great Smoky Mountains

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I had the opportunity to be in this cabin and as soon as we opened the door we fell in love with every corner of the place. Everything is designed to give you comfort and to feel at home. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need for your vacation, nice bathrooms and super clean. Very nice decor alluding to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The location of the cabin is perfect, you are very close to the park and the towns of Pigion Forge and Gatlinburg. Sally very kindly provided us with a summary of activities to do and restaurants that we could visit. Our stay was fantastic, we did hike to the park every day and saw 6 bears, 3 of them little cubs, which made our trip amazing, as we were very lucky to see these magnificent animals that are the insignia of the park. Thank you so much Sally for sharing your house, we had an incredible time.

Cheers,

Bryan and Diana

Owner's Response: Diana and Bryan: Thank you so much for the wonderful review. I'm glad you were able to hike the park especially when the tail of hurricane Irma was pushing through. It's a great place to reconnect with nature and have a little fun on the side. I'm glad you loved the cabin. You are always welcome back. Sally

A little disappointed.

  • 3 of 5

The cabin/ house was aesthetically pretty but there were some disappointments. There was not a red trash can outside the dwelling as stated in the info package I received. The master suite bathroom mirror was so low that neither me nor my husband could see our faces unless we backed up to the middle of the bathroom .It was extremely difficult for my husband to shave and for me to do my hair and make up. The over head light was out in the master suite bathroom. The light over the stove was out . There were light bulbs out in the night lights. The grill needed cleaning very badly but the grill brush was broken. There is debris built up in the grill around the burners. It rained for three days of our trip and it would have be nice to be able to grill and get in the hot tub in the evening but the porch that the grill and the hot tub are on is not covered. The property roof/ attic area should be checked. A couple of nights we could hear what sounded like animals either running in the attic area or on the roof.

Owner's Response: Holy Smoke, I am so sorry you had issues like this. Lights are easily replaced and I apologize for things not being up to par. It is never the guests "job" to do anything but relax and enjoy themselves. I will work harder to see to it lights are replaced. I'm sorry about the grill. We can certainly try to be better. I will check with the squirrel patrol to see what is going on but the place is in a woods with surrounding wildlife and usually critters on the roof are out of my control. The red trash can is under the front steps and not on the side because a raccoon family is always looking for the goodies inside. I thought I addressed that in the packet and many apologies if not. As far as the mirror in the bathroom goes, I don't know what to say other than I'm sorry it was inconvenient. The back deck however, is one of the things I loved about this place. I always like my hot tub under the stars so that will stay the way it is and we mortals will have to put up with rain from time to time but I'm sorry the weather was inclement. Looks like I have still some things here to work on. I have addressed the grill as you mentioned and my people have already come back with a report on it. I hope all your future travels make great memories for you and your husband.

Exactly as advertised

  • 5 of 5

No unpleasant surprises here - exactly as described. Very pleasant, clean, and well-kept. Directions from the owner were very clear. Only a minute or two from the main strip in Pigeon Forge. Parking is a bit tight for a long pickup truck as the parking area is quite small, but loading your luggage in and out is easy. Had a great stay!

Beautiful home

  • 5 of 5

I loved that the home was in a small community just far enough off the main road to feel a bit secluded but close to everything. The home has everything you need. The road up to the home was easy to travel on and not too steep at all. Sally provided us with a lot of information about the location and things to do. Lots to do in Pigeon Forge and we were just a few minutes away from Gatlinburg. We had a wonderful family vacation.

The indoor activities are plentiful with musical and comedy shows for the whole family to Bluegrass and Rib festivals in the spring and Gospel group competitions in the fall. Wax museums and winerys. If you can think of it, it's probably already here.
