This is a beautifully updated 2,000-square foot home is on a quiet street in the chic Sugar House District of Salt Lake City, about three and a half miles from the center of downtown Salt Lake City & the convention center. Close to the city's center, yet just down the street from Parley's Canyon, Park City, and the Salt Lake ski resorts.
The house is filled with antiques and items that we've collected in our travels around the world, NOT the same old particle-board stuff that you see in most of the other rentals. Before you book your stay somewhere else, really take a look at the pictures of their white walls and their plywood furniture and ask yourself if that would be more comfortable. Not to mention the location!
There is a large, private hot tub in the back yard that you can soak in after a day of skiing, as well as a large-screen 3-Dimensional plasma TV. There is also a 3D game console with a bunch of 3D games and a large collection of books in the house to read. The dining room has a large table and can seat 8 to 10 people. Parking available for small boats and RVs. There is a 24-hour supermarket within 1 block of the house and the kitchen is fully equipped with all of the appliances & utensils that you'll need during your stay.

We are not a huge company that will treat you like a number. We are a small, family-run business and we take pride in our guest's comfort and satisfaction. We will try everything within reason to make our guests feel like they are at home in our vacation rentals. Our listings are up-front and honest, and we have no hidden fees whatsoever (this is rare in our industry). We have an abnormally-high amount of return guests, which is a testament to how well we take care of our homes and our customers. If anything about your stay isn't exactly as you want it, we're available 24 hours a day and we live nearby.
Why Cami chose Sugar House
We chose this location because it's the perfect balance between the urban downtown and the canyons (Parley's, Big Cottonwood, Little Cottonwood, Millcreek, and Emigration Canyons). It is also right down the street from the famous Sugar House Park.
What makes this House unique
This house is right in the shadow of the Wasatch Mountains, which are considered the western edge of the Rocky Mountains.

Parley's house was OK
The house worked out OK. We did have some issues that were handled while we were there. We checked in on Friday, but my contact person forgot that several times, even though I contacted her repeatedly prior to our visit to clarify this. A breaker tripped and we lost power to the bathroom and part of the kitchen, but a call pointed us to the other breaker box. The hot tub maintenance was poor, but again, a call got us what we needed. The 220gfci breaker to the hot tub tripped, but reset worked by morning (disconnect box is right by the tub, so beware children could reach that FROM the tub). The pots, pans, knives were terrible, so bring your own. The fireplace is useable, but has a sticker that says "no fires" above it. And of course, no wood available. The location is great, and we were able to contact the management when we needed to. The bedrooms are tiny and the basement is not for anyone over 6ft. tall.
TRULY CONVENIENT LODGING
Less than a half hour drive to the canyon ski resorts. Even closer to the airport. You can walk to the drug store, market, restaurants. 6 adults fit comfortably into this clean, functional, nicely finished house. It's in a quiet neighborhood with a great hot tub, covered parking, attentive hosts. We were able to settle in quickly to this great base for a 7 day vacation.
We thought this was a very nice home and it was apparent that the owners (very nice people) took good care of it. They were very helpful and gave us several good recommendations for places to eat and some sites to see. The neighborhood was very quiet and it felt safe. We recommend this home for anyone that is visiting Salt Lake City.
This house was absolutely perfect. We offered to buy it from the owner (only half-jokingly) because we loved it so much. The location is great - if we come back to ski, this would be a perfect location, right between the city itself and the ski resorts.
This stay was great! We had an issue with the upstairs bathroom doorknob but it was quickly resolved by the owners. Perfect location to downtown and the airport.
Great local and good house...but
Overall the location and house were very good, now not wanting to slam anyone but this is an honest review. Upon arrival the heat was off and after contacting the manager the heat was turned on but we were told it could only go as high as 70 degrees. Keep in mind some of our night were in the 30's, also the thermostat would not remain consistent, it would go from 70 degrees down to 66 and 61 degrees. It's not very comfortable when you have to set around with a coat on.
Water pressure was another issue.
Again, over all the location was good for our needs.
Thanks, but why didn't you just change the temperature? It's an adjustable thermostat, so you had every right to raise the temperature if you'd wanted. You could have even locked it at whatever temperature you wanted. It's right there on the living room wall and it's not hidden or locked away or anything.
As far as the water pressure, I wish you had called me - we can easily adjust that. We'll do it today so that the next guests are comfortable, but if you had called me (instead of leaving it in a review), we could have adjusted it withing 10 minutes of your call. We could have done it from the garage - no need to have even disturbed you guys.
