Davis Hill Longs Peak Cottage. (Estes Park Business License # 790.) Lovely, private, modern, well equipped cottage with spectacular views of Longs Peak and the Rockies. Located in a quiet neighborhood within walking distance of downtown Estes Park.

Enjoy modern conveniences and amenities in a historic setting. The cottage has a bedroom with king-sized bed, full bathroom and full kitchen. There is a living room with two recliners, flat screen HDTV with cable and DVD/VCR, dining area and well equipped kitchen. The living room has a comfortable full-size pull out futon/couch and a single rollaway is available for a fourth guest.

Off the living room is a lovely private balcony with stunning views of the Continental Divide and an especially unbelievable view of Longs Peak, the only ''fourteener'' (14,259 feet) in Rocky Mountain National Park.

The cottage is within easy walking distance (two blocks) to downtown shopping, wine tasting, breweries, shopping and restaurants allowing you to leave the car and avoid the hassle of parking.

Rocky Mountain National Park is less than two miles away making this location absolutely unbeatable. The setting is private and has abundant opportunities for close up wildlife viewing of bears, elk, deer, coyotes and many other little critters.

We have a commercial grade wi-fi and a fully stocked, complementary, on site shared laundry facility available 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Mon-Fri. You will have a gas grill and access to a shared camp fire (skewers provided for your use). If there is a city or county wide fire ban in effect the gas grill can still be used. Reserved outdoor parking for your car. City ordinance: No on street parking, RVs, trailers or large campers. Estes Park Shuttle runs between the Denver airport and our front door and back. We answer all calls and emails promptly! We accept Discover, Visa and MC. No pets or smoking (anything) in the cottage or on the deck.

We very much enjoyed our stay here in this lovely cottage. The location was perfect and the views amazing. After a long day of hiking it was so nice to come “home” to such comfortable accommodations. Favorite hikes: Easy-The Pool, Moderate-Deer Mountain Summit, Difficult-Andrews Glacier (so worth it!) We love Estes Park and we’re planning to return as often as possible. What a perfect home away from home. The location is perfect for trips to RMNP and town. Anybody up for a gorgeous yet challenging hike should check out Sky pond. Last night here we went to Sundeck for poached trout since Larry caught seven trout in the catch and release area today. We would definitely stay here again. About Jim and Lois Gunlicks

As youngsters both of our families spent vacations in the mountains. I worked in Estes Park one summer in high school and two in college. Because we loved Estes Park so much, Lois and I bought our first vacation home here ten years ago. After spending two summers in a condo, we decided to make the plunge into the bed and breakfast business. Being a career military couple, we knew we enjoyed entertaining people. We bought the adjacent Davis Hill Band B (Davis Hill Historic House), the oldest in Estes Park, in 2006. We are from Nebraska where Lois grew up on a farm with a big family so making breakfasts and beds was a part of life. Davis Hill B and B came with this lovely modern cottage which we recognized as a great rental asset because of the location providing gorgeous views and the design for easy living. Guests often rent the entire B&B and this cottage together for large family reunions and weddings.(When they rent the entire B&B they have have full access to the kitchen to prepare their own meals.) Managing these properties is a wonderful retirement activity for us because of the terrific people we meet and the beautiful surroundings. During the summer season we reside in an owner's suite below the cottage where we act as caretakers of the property and are available to answer questions.

Just a few blocks to town and right down the road to RMNP, this little apartment is just perfect. You are set back away from it all yet so close to everything. The views are gorgeous and it feels very private. We will definitely look to book again in the future!

wonderful place to stay while visiting Rocky Mountain National Park

We stayed here while visiting Rocky Mountain National Park. It is very conveniently located, just minutes from the eastern Park entrance. The house is very well equipped, and has wonderful views of the Park and surrounding countryside. The hosts were very helpful, and gave us the information we needed. The place is very well maintained, and easy to stay in. We would highly recommend it.

Home away from home with amazing view

My husband and I stayed in this wonderful cottage for 2 weeks. We could not have picked a better spot. This must have one of the best views in or around Estes Park and although the cottage is a short walk to downtown, it is quiet and you feel like you are away from the crowds. We found the cottage to be very comfortable and to have everything that we needed. The cottage owners who live across the street could not have been more helpful and friendly. It is less than a 10 minute drive into Rocky Mountain National Park and we found ourselves going in and out easily early in the morning or after dinner to look at the sunset and the stars. We grew up in Colorado and used to live an hour from Estes Park so we are very familiar with the area yet we weren't aware of this great neighborhood so close to town. The unit is not large but was perfect for us and our daughter who visited a few nights. We had friends visit us over the 2 week period and all who came to visit were most impressed with the view and accommodations. We would not hesitate to stay there again for 2 weeks or even longer.

so convenient to to Rocky Mountain National Park

This was the perfect spot to enjoy Rocky Mountain National Park. We had perfect weather, and hiked every day we were here, always returning to our cottage afterwards. The unit had everything we needed: we never went out to dinner: just cooked in. The unit is quiet, convenient to town, and has a great view. We highly recommend it.

Wonderful place right near town

We had a great time and the cottage was perfect. There was nothing that we needed everything was ready for us. Grilled out, walked to town and was just minutes away from the entrance to the Rocky Mountain National Park.
