We loved it, beautiful, clean, everything we needed.

However, it's important to know that a skunk took over the garbage area. We had to leave the garbage away from him and the cans. Also, we couldn't retrieve the hot dog and marshmallow sticks and put them away. Sorry, but it was a great adventure.

The epicenter of US trout fishing

  • 5 of 5

Just got back after a long weekend for our annual college buddies fishing trip. The lodge was perfect and the scenery perfectly set the tone for a weekend away. The location is perfect for hitting all of the major local waters as we hit the South Fork, Madison and Henry's (as it's right out the back door!). Drake was great and very responsive - highly recommend and we'll be back for the salmonfly hatch!

Absolutely wonderful! Beautiful and accomodating!

  • 5 of 5

Our family of 18 thoroughly enjoyed the cabin. We spent our mornings on the deck watching people fly-fish and Osprey diving into the river for fish, and our evenings by the campfire roasting s'mores. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed and the beds were comfortable. We took advantage of the upgraded TVs and wifi, as we had put together a video for my parent's 50th wedding anniversary.

The cabin is a solid hour to the West Entrance of Yellowstone, but with good planning and the expectation of a long day it was very doable. The location of the house allowed us to enjoy Mesa Falls and a float trip in Island Park which was a lot of fun. Some of us chose to hike in Bechler Basin, which was much closer too.

I believe the only minor issues we had was the bathtub downstairs drained very slowly and it was very chilly in the basement (which some people prefer.) Also, a few people in our party had difficulty getting from the porch to the ground without a step to use. It's a bit of a leap for many (especially our 70+ folks and our teenager with a disability).

Staying in this property was considered a highlight and would highly recommend to anyone considering. Drake Munson communicated very well whenever I had questions (and I had several since it was our first trip to the area!) which was extremely helpful!! Thank you!

We loved our stay at the Mesa Falls Lodge and had a fantastic time

  • 5 of 5

We loved our stay at the Mesa Falls Lodge and had a fantastic time. We took the whole family great grand parents though the babies had fun. We loved the view in the morning and the reflection of the moon on the river at night this is in a perfect setting. The river is splendid, it was better than TV for most of us we watched the sunrise and the moon rise over the river. We watched the fishermen and the people floating the river in all of the their water crafts and one of the best parts of our stay was the family rafting trip down the river it really was fun. We were held captive for about an hour and a half with nothing but laugh and play while we floated the river it was a great time together. This cabin like most is a drive from restaurants we planed to and eat together in the cabin the kitchen is fantastic for preparing and for group meals. The whole experience was the best. The cabin was clean well taken care of and the host called to check on us even when the power went out to 52,000 people in the Idaho, Montana and Wyoming. We would recommend this cabin to anyone who loves great views and wild life. We had a great week the fastest week ever it flew by. I would stay here again in a heart beat. Loved it. Thank you all for having us.
