About James Gatch

We live outside Charleston, South Carolina. James is a pilot, and I manage a retail business. We are thrilled to have our Vail condo as a second home.

We recommend the 'Satellite' view below for a good perspective on Vail Village.

James Gatch purchased this condo in 2006

Why James Gatch chose Vail Village

We have always loved Vail for its incredible skiing. But, since we purchased the condo, we have discovered the best part of Vail ... the summer! We really like the cozy feel and easy access around Vail Village.

What makes this condo unique

We really enjoy a relaxing time at the condo. There are plenty of creature comforts, but we especially enjoy the sounds of the creek, clean mountain air, and beautiful views. No matter the season or the reason, we hope you enjoy your trip to Vail. .. Mary

Guestbook comments from the owner

I am writing to thank you so very much for letting us stay in your lovely condo! We thoroughly enjoyed everything about it. The location was perfect since we could walk to Vail Village, catch the bus to Lionshead, and had easy access to I-70 (we drove to the rodeo in Beaver Creek and went rafting thru The Numbers on the Arkansas River).

We could really appreciate all of your recent renovations since we are starting the process of remodeling our kitchen. I loved your kitchen faucet so much that I am wanting to purchase one just like it for our home.

Thank you again for allowing us the opportunity to stay in your condo and we look forward to returning. I wish we were there right now since it is 106 in Plano, TX today. :)

Very nice unit with great location

  • 4 of 5

Everything about the unit was as promised. High-end everything and well equipped. The only negative was some noisy neighbors upstairs who woke us at 1-2 AM the first two nights but the other nights were quiet.

Vail is awesome!

  • 4 of 5

We loved Vail! We walked to Goldenpeak lodge every morning to pick up our skis and begin our day on the mountain. It was only a few minute walk, but too far of a distance and too many steps to navigate in a pair of ski boots with three kids. The condo was well appointed with many drawers for storage, a comfortable family room and a nice kitchen. Be forewarned that the condo has very thin walls. We were awoken every night by the neighbor upstairs playing fetch with her dog and walking around her apartment in high heeled shoes. It was so disturbing, it shook the lighting fixtures. The size of the condo was a tad small for our family of five. We enjoyed our trip, but I would not stay at this condo again.

Nice condo with great views in the village

  • 4 of 5

We enjoyed our weekend at this nice two bedroom condo. The kitchen is appointed well and there are really nice views of Gondola one and the enormous half pipe outside the window.

The unit sits right above Gore Creek with a nice walking path into the heart of the village.

The unit was cozy and we enjoyed our weekend.

Clean, tasteful, quiet and a great location

  • 5 of 5

This condo is great. It's down some stairs and across the street from the Village. Easy walking distance to most everything, and there's a free shuttle that comes by every ten minutes or so if you don't feel like walking.

The condo had everything we needed (pots, pans, extra sheets, salt, pepper, etc). There needs we're very comfortable (even the pull out!!). It's a quiet building, at least while we were there, and the view from the balcony is awesome.

Communication with James was very easy. I'd definite stay here again!!

Perfect fall getaway

  • 5 of 5

What a perfect location and beautifully appointed condo to enjoy the warm and sunny early fall season in Vail. The condo is tastefully decorated and with perfect views of Vail Mountain and the creek below. We couldn't have asked for a better place to call home for a couple of nights.

Lovely 2 bedroom condominium

  • 4 of 5

Our unit was lovely. The walls are cardboard thin and we were bothered by early and late talking.
