This is a Large, private, peaceful and contemporary villa in perfect condition with every modern convenience that one could wish for. Perfect for family get togethers or getting away from it all.The views are just stunning and on every level.
The house is perched right on Gordons Bay with a back gate on to the Bondi to Coogee Coastal Walk, one of Sydney's top 2 attractions out of 274. The house is secluded and tranquil yet only 15 minutes to the city, Sydney Harbour or to the airport.
Close to golf, tennis, parks, playgrounds and to shops, markets, cafes and nightspots. Short walk to public transport to harbour ferries and all the sights of Sydney. Minutes to horse racing, Stadium Australia (football etc), Sydney Cricket Ground and Centennial Park (the city's main park).
All 6 bedrooms have queen-sized beds. 4 of the bedrooms are on the top floor, including 2 master bedrooms with walk-ins and ensuite bathrooms, each with double spas. On the middle floor there is a large open space combining living areas, dining and kitchen. The lower level includes a self-contained flatette or retreat/entertainment area. Large sundecks on all levels.

My director and his family have now stayed at this property twice and I am sure it will not be the last. He has never been disappointed, always returning with the highest praise for the place. Booking the house has been more than a pleasure as I have always received wonderful and personal service. I could only recommend this property and from my directors comments I can only assume he would too.
I was lucky enough to stay in this AMAZING house in this AMAZING location with several good friends. We were all in Sydney for a week of important business meetings and being in the house together proved to be of great benefit for everyone, and also for the projects we are all working on together. Having the coastal walkway right there through the gate at the bottom of the garden was wonderful, as was the easy access it allowed to swimming in brilliant Gordon's Bay. All the other reviews about Michael the owner being a great host and very attentive to making sure everything was right for everyone were not overplayed at all by the people who have stayed there previously. Nor were their glowing reviews....my friends and I are lucky enough to have stayed in many amazing places around this beautiful world of ours over many years, and we all agreed that the 'Pumpkin House' (as it is affectionately called) is right up there with the very best any of us have experienced. Our combined consensus was that the house and the location and our stay couldn't have been any better than it was. Thank you Michael for making your great house available in such a great way for others to enjoy too, we all feel very fortunate and grateful for the time we spent together there. Thank you for brilliantly playing your part in facilitating and allowing magic to happen.
This property is located on the most charming small bay in east Sydney. Its truly a magical spot. The views from the house are awesome. The house, named Pumpkin for its color, is large with first class fittings and appointments. We had 8 in our group and there was plenty of room for more. Michael, the owner, was gracious and available when we needed him. In all a delightful experience at a wonderful place.
I booked this holiday house for my brother and his family. There was plenty of space for everyone and they really enjoyed their stay. The house was very clean and presentable. The owner gave them an orientation and he was very detailed and meticulous about his house.
The Mustard House as we referred to it affectionately lived up to the dream and much more. What a fantastic house, made our holiday even more special and what a fantastic owner who made our stay totally faultless. We will definitely be back. Thank you.
We couldn't have been more pleased with our experience staying at this property. We selected this house based on excellent reviews, as a place for our immediate families to meet and spend time together during the week of our Sydney Observatory wedding. There were 8 adults and 3 children (ages 10-12) all traveling from out of state and out of country. This house is set up to encourage interaction, and also had plenty of privacy of bedrooms that we could easily go our own ways if needed. The pool/snooker table created something to do while bonding with family. Beyond the fantastic views, the location was highly convenient for making multiple trips to Sydney airport to collect family (which we would not have gotten staying in Manly, for instance). Upon our morning arrival from overseas, we found the fridge and cupboard stocked with a few choice essentials (juice, champagne, cereal, bread, butter, chocolate) so that we didn't have to run out to the supermarket and could relax and enjoy breakfast. The kitchen was well appointed; the knives were even sharp (a rarity in holiday rentals). While at first we were concerned about our host's extensive explanation of rules and house details, our week was very relaxed. Michael was attentive when we notified him that the oven was left dirty with grease and used stinky trays-- he came over as soon as possible to clean it. Also when one of the televisions stopped working, he came over when it was convenient to us and fixed it. The attention to detail was superb. Things you take for granted such as toilet tissue, face tissue, bath towels, pool towels, blankets and bedding, etc were well stocked. There were even travel-size shampoos in the bathroom, as we found out after my sister had forgotten shampoo. My review is already too long; I can't say enough good things about this house. The walk to/from Coogee is very short and beautiful, and Coogee is full of cute cafes and coffee shops. I went for a swim in Gordon Bay, a 3 minute walk from the back deck. My new step son talked about this beautiful home for the rest of our visit to Australia, and how he missed the "Coogee house". We made great memories here which will bless us for years to come, with great credit due to Michael's care and management of this home.
The home is a gorgeous, unique, modern style with views of a lovely beach & pool from the living/dining room area and 3 of the 6 bedrooms. The home and amenities were as pictured and described on Homeaway.com. It is a close walk to several other beaches and close to the bus line. The owner takes great pride in his home and it is well maintained. He took the time to orient us to the house and the area, which was very helpful. We had plenty of room, the beds were comfortable and the 4 full bathrooms and a half bath were great for our group of 7. The pool, multiple levels of patios and the landscaping were beautiful. The only negative is that the pool was cold, but it was winter! Would love to stay there again!
